@GreatDestructo No, it was Brian Bath on guitar. And it was Ian Bairnson who played guitar on the studio version, not David Gilmour. David Gilmour has never played on "Wuthering Heights".

The only Kate songs where David Gilmour has played guitar were "Passing Through Air", "Love & Anger", "Rocket's Tail" and the live version of "Runing Up That Hill". He also provided backing vocals on "Pull Out The Pin".

@LBjim No, Kate has never performed "Wuthering Heights" live after 1979. All of Kate's live appearences from 1978 onwards are known so if she had done it live after 1979 we would have known about it.

And Kate has actually visited the USA several times. But the only time she performed there was in 1978, on Saturday Night Live.

The film is 42 minutes long so I would have to cut it into five parts if I should post it. And when I uploaded these live clips the original film was still here but it was deleted last autumn.

Kate was great. I just wish with the UK tour they put the whole show on the Hammersmith video and not just the 12 songs. Anyone remember which songs were kept off, and why?

The songs that were kept off were: "The Saxophone Song", "The Man With The Child In His Eyes", "L'Amour Looks Something Like You", "Room For The Life", "The Kick Inside", "Symphony In Blue", "In Search Of Peter Pan", "Fullhouse", "In The Warm Room", "Kashka From Baghdad", "Coffee Homeground" and "Egypt". "Oh To Be In Love" wasn't performed at all.

The official reason those songs were left off was that the sound quality wasn't good enough. But maybe they could fix that with modern technology.

I NEVER tire of hearing this song(My FAVORITE of hers) or of seeing her perform not just THIS but ALWAYS.

I think that one of the reasons she COMPLETLTY blows the others away is that she's doing it ALL. She's not just singing, she's dancing, and ACTING as well!

just to reply to your question it was her only tour because, well there was a rumour that she was afraid of flying, and apart from that in this only tour she had there was an accident, the lighting director died so probably Kate was affected so much by that, that she avoided tours anyway..

Still it's such a pity we didn't manage to see her live I know...

She is amazing isn't she, such a strange voice. And anyone else singing those lyrics you'd think it was a comedy song, but when she does it it's brilliant. So much better than a bland pop song about, I dunno, someone falling in love with someone else or someone breaking up with someone ;)

She has planned tours in 1983, 1985 and 1993. Originally she planned to do a tour for every second album. I don't know why the tours in 1983 and 1985 never happened. Maybe it was economical reasons. Her tour in 1979 was very expensive and she paid all the costs herself. And "The Dreaming" didn't do very well in the charts.

The tour in 1993 was cancelled because her mother and some of her close friends died. She also split up with Del Palmer.

And no, she is not a recluse. But that's one of the most common myths about her. She really just wants to be left alone. Of course she goes out and see other people but she doesn't go to parties very much and she doesn't behave like a celebrity. She wants the focus to be on her music, not her as a person.
