A fairer experiment would be to have the couples match them better. Even though both wore casual clothes, some of looked faded and ill fitting. Using neutral colors and toned down jewelry on the white couples versus the black couples was a factor. Also, I'd like to see a video from the customer service side of how men of different ethnicities behave with a blond customer service versus other races. Especially what happens when they flirt and she either flirts back or politely defers.
part 2: u'll most likely guage who seems like they are going to shop amongst the black customers and help those first..the trend is often times reversed with other ethnicities give or take. dont get me wrong a lot of it can be about racism..but then some might just be based on experience...racism nowaadays is so subtle it just blends with everything.
but as far as the out right rude customer service..well they suck
okay im gonna play devils advocate here for a second. Im black..i used to work at the mall in one of those stores..and its been my experience that the black customers we get on average dont really SHOP for something..they just go to look around and generally browse..its happened that several times i would walk up and try to get them interested in something and they werent so imagine workng there for years and realizing the trend..would you still be as enthusiastic later on when u see black cust?
I needed a job while away at school. I called a really nice nearby nursing home & they made it sound like they needed help, so I was was hopeful & confident at the possibility of a job & maybe starting that week. It was super humid outside but I walked all the way to this place to fill out an application. I walked in & I couldn't even finish asking for an application before the receptionist to told me they were full and not hiring...?? Walked back to my dorm in shock b/c I knew what happened.
"tyrell and precious" those are not stereotypical black names at all! LMAO fail.
