False Percula clownfish hosting T. Gigas clam

Quick question.....will it eventually kill the clam ?? The reason I ask is because both of my mated pair of F. Percula's have now taken to my 10 inch squamosa and I have been told to get rid of them because they will eventually kill my very expensive clam and they are trying to mate and I dont want to get rid of them. any comments would be greatly appreciated .....Thanks, Austin

my clown pair hosts in a toadstool leather coral. I've wanted to get them an anemone but i dont really see the point to it, since most just die in aquariums and the toadstool really doesnt seem to mind. Though its hard cleaning that half of the tank, they're spunky and nippy >_<

I havent seen this before, though i know that all clownfish will host inanimate objects of not provided an anemone.

I have six clownfish in my tank, not a one of them shows any interest in either of my anemones. I have a Marroon, Percula, Clarkii, Skunk, Tomato and Saddleback. I have a Haddon's carpet and a Bubbletip.

Im supprised.that the clam doesnt even flinch with that stupid clown molesting it. My clam freaks if a show passes the tank. Thankfully my clowns stick to hosting the zoanthids.

my clam would also snap shut when something bumped it..but after a while my coral banded shrimp could crawl all over it and it wouldn't move. this is probably the same thing

Wow, this tops the list on craziest things I've ever seen in a reef aquarium, I've seen them host shrooms before, but this is really unique. Awesome video!!!!! That Gigas is really happy and healthy!!!

lol i agree !! infact i have a clarki clown that has just started to host a big colony of mushroom corals .. ill post a vid soon ... preety awsome i think .. but he is abit lonely lol might buy him a anemone soon.

Some clownfish wont host at all, and some will host in almost anything..they are werid
