What is that all conversion for ? To warm up the oil only ? In my country (Poland) we simply put the oil into the tank and drive. That's it. In such an old diesel engine you don't need to change anything.(Any old type diesel engine). I own a Gelendewagen as well and I have no problems with it. In the winter you can just add some bensin to make oil a little bit thinner, that's all.

I am interested in buying a G class. I actually found the exact same car as yours except for the automatic tranny. I was wondering how much did the entire vegetable oil conversion cost? tank, hoses, filters? Did you install it yourself ?

What mpg does a standard 300 gd get?
