Black people have been going to college for almost 100 years, we have a black man who taught at a college as our president. But someway, somehow black people are still at the bottom of the barrell when it comes to almost everything except athletes, preachers, entertainers, killing each other and contracting aids.

We are underrepresented in college. what we need to do is find a way to get more black men in college so that they have more access to resources. More black families are middle class and rich then ever before. Their is actually less violence and dispare in our community then ever before. As you said, education does not mean college degree, but many of the useless eaters need college because they are not self sufficient, nor do they have the mental capacity to teach themselves. Bill gates met Paul Allen and everyone he worked together with to build microsoft while at harvard. He also benefited from his parents status in society. You can learn to program without a college degree yes but it isn't so simple. Only a few will be able to bypass college the majority of us won't. So for that reason alone we need colleges.

Buffet actually gives credit to one of his prof. for helping him form his philosophy for money. On his latest interview he actually said to a group of grad students that he would offer up 150,000 to any student who would get both the MBA and a degree in communication in exchange for 10% of their income. he believes in higher education.

It is more hands on and teaches you a skill along with theory. Unless you want to be a doctor, lawyer, architect, or teacher. a four year degree is basically useless

Besides their are a lot of positions that you learn about in college that require master of docter that you cant get without going through the four year first. Trade schools are also helpful but it all depends on the person.
