Nick thanks they are all going a bit faster now - the 10S ran about 62-63 seconds - now even a 6S can run under 1 minute - that sees not much but it means the best 6 cell riggers are hitting 140kph. The good thing getting something that is fast has become a lot cheaper as a result Andrew
they were running from 60mph (100 kph) the 10S sport hydro, to about 75mph (125kph) for 10S rigger. This was 2 years ago. Today the scale hydro runs a touch over 120kph, 4S riggers a little faster the 6S riggers run 135 and a 10S rigger would be hitting over 140+kph on the oval;
No for any sort of boat but especially RC. A model must be 100% water proof and you still need to remove the shaft and lube any metal parts to prevent them jamming. You also need to ensureit is aired well and the electronics are protected from salt and any moisture.
@HELLOTOMOROW1 yes you can run them in salt water - but mnake sure the baot is absolutely dry inside; or that the electronics are well protected from moisture. ALso treat the elctronics with something like Corrosion X and it will save a bunch of prioblems down the track
hey just wondering i am just about to get a RC boat and wondering which 1 i should get, i would like a boat that goes relatively fast, easy to handle and doesn't require much matanince
Delta Force rtr 23" mono is the cheapestgood boat I am aware of - you need radio and cells (but these are not expensive). Proboat and Aquacraft monos are good to start with.
So cool i want one i had a nitro one and the electric ones are just so much better easier to maintain easier to run and you can sit still in the water unlike a petrol one wherey ou have to be moving all the time lol
All you can see is this tiny little boat (at least from this distance) and one huge mother of a rooster tail. Thats intense! Nice boats.

Can you drive brushless boats in the sea, then hose it off?

mah is the compacity of the batt you want more volts ^^
mkadawametwa 2 years ago
that makes me want one
biggray94 2 years ago
hey dude, if i want to buy a custom battery to upgrade the boats speed, do i look for higher Mah or higher voltage?
DRZ146 2 years ago
i believe its voltage becuase thats the amount of power it dishes out. think of Mah as how much it can hold or run time. look this up incase im wrong
analmunkey 2 years ago
More speed needs more watts
So you more both of voltage & amps is the best way to achieve that
If you want to keep the runtime you will also need more mah
fastelectrics 2 years ago
oohh okay, i have another question. the supervee 27 boat runs two 7.2v batteries, does that mean it runs 14.4v on that one motor?
DRZ146 2 years ago
That is correct.
fastelectrics 2 years ago
i think the one in last was having weight issues... it was too light
2007tacoma 2 years ago
It looks light , in fact it was the heaviest the issue is the angle of attack on the sponsons. It was too steep.
That is a bit like using a too hard pretension on a suspension spring.
It tends to throw the boat about and then it catches more air and it gets out of shape etc
Resolved now runs flat and fast.

and i thought the warmup was fast

does da red one have nos or something cause that thing is flying lol
vortecMAS 3 years ago
NOS -> sort of it. It has ten cells. The others had 4 or 6 cells.
Now days (Sept 08 onward)the 6 cell boats are faster than the 10 cell boat was. The 10 cell riggers are running 125kph.
The big white boat had 10 cells too but is a scale hull and it didn't handle nearly as well as the riggers.
