alpha pots?,i see orange drop and mustard caps and all quality stuff,except for the alphas?which are cheap crappy!,i would not put them in a cheap guitar if i was replacing controls.strange choice?

also what tubes brand you used here? do you think it will sound different with nik's tubes?..

Its fantastic being able to build such a great amp and with the knowledge gained in the process, then being able to modify it to suit your own tastes.
This is my second amp build. I took about two weeks for building. Perhaps I thought that I was able to be finished earlier, but I worked slowly on purpose to prevent mistake as much as possible.
I don't grok... There is "no instruction manual and step by step tutorial'? Only a layout sheet and "some" photos on their website? Please clarify. Thanks!
I figured unless electronics is your hobby, and you make less than $10 an hour, it's worth it to just have Nik build it for you. Even if you know what you're doing, you'll still make mistakes, and it won't turn out as good as one of Nik's, since there's no learning curve with the build quality on his end . I just got my OTS S&M the other day after waiting over 3 months, and it was worth the wait, awesome amp!
Did your amp come with the diagram? Are there things you have to know that arent on the diagram? Some come with instructions or a step by step tutorial.
No instruction manual and step by step tutorial. You build it in consultation with a layout and some photos at ceriatone website. Also, the support by the email is very helpful.
