  • Here's a question from out of nowhere: is the lady who plays the secretary, Arica Reinhardt, the same woman who years ago played "Big Sister" in the short film GRAVITY by David Wechter and Michael Nankin? The imdb says so, but there is such a huge gap between those roles it makes me think it's a mistake.

  • I believe that yes, it is! She's also in an old Blue Oyster Cult video!

  • Well, if you are in contact with her, she may be amused and/or horrified to know that GRAVITY will be screening at the Castro on March 20th as part of a triple feature that includes Wechter & Nankin's MIDNIGHT MADNESS. and JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL. Maybe she would like to attend?

  • One of my favorite episodes.

  • wait a second, i thought the clown was really "a killer that (*who) escaped from jail," so why would a clown be in my bed? well, i guess i could have just gotten reaaaaaaaaaaaaally wasted the night before, but still, i'm not that into s & m.

  • i love this show, very funny and strangely captivating

  • i am glad Chase and Francesca got together. they make a perfect couple :)

  • whats the name of the intro song??

    :P

  • Ieva's Polka by Loituma.

  • 6.45-8.00. That was hilarious! Frustration comedy at it's best. =)

  • whats the budget for this show?

    please check out my films.

  • We have no budget. The budget, sadly, is zero.

  • What type of camera's and mics do you use then?

and How did you get your actors?

  • We use an HVX200 to shoot. The name of the microphone is escaping me right now (go to our website breakaleg DOT tv -- our sound guy frequents the boards and can answer). All the actors (aside from David, who's one of the creators/writers) auditioned for a previous project and continued on to this one.

Why do they stay when we don't pay them anything? They like the material, they like us, and they like acting. At least, I think that's why. It could be the bagel dogs we feed them.

  • Aha cool. Thanks for all the info, been really helping me out with my films by giving me insight. I'm trying to find actors as it is, but hard stuff. I've been contacting agencies too. It's hard to make films with such little crew.

How do you get guys to man the camera's and booms?

Even tho you have no budget, your equipment is good. Like editing program?

Any chance you could read/help/advice me with my scripts?

  • No problem! Glad to help.

We only own a boom pole/boom mic. Everything else we are lucky enough to borrow. You can make good art with any camera, though as long as you've got a good script, a nice microphone and some lights.

The crew is passionate about the project, they like the show, so that's why they do it. We're also all good friends.

    We edit with Final Cut.

Finally, while I'd love to help you with your scripts, sadly, I have barely any time to work on my own! But good luck with it!

  • David's got my kind of luck with women...

I feel REALLY sorry for him because of that.

  • Great that the producers actually respond to the comments =P Makes you feel your comment truly meant something :)

  • They do and we try our best. Ask us anything and we'll try to answer. We're especially apt on doing so on our website.

  • yo.......

  • whoops.

  • nice.....

  • wow i randomly found this and i like it :P

  • Thanks! Make sure you check out the other episodes!

  • Are you going to try to get this to TV, cause man that DVR would be useful.

  • We're definitely trying, yessir.
