As a Young Democrat, I've had plenty of debates with people on the matter, and I'm actually kind of jealous of his advantage. Nothing speaks to the truth of equality as much as first-hand experience in a matter, in my opinion. Of course, the flip side of that is that he's probably been put in many uncomfortable situations I've never had to deal with because I was raised by a mother and father.

Marriages were not even performed in christian churches until the 11 th century. Many non-relgious people get married evey day in civil marriage ceremonies. I also believe that there are many amazing parents whose children have never even taking the SATs, let alone scored in the 99%. Does a parent who raised a child who scored in the 83% make them 16% less of a parent? I just don't think it matters. I get what he was saying. Being a well adjusted and well rounded individual does not preclude intelligence. Including the SAT scores gives voice to another facet of a healthy person raised by a same-sex couple. Proffering everything one can is the action one must take to refute the ignorance of those making baseless claims about children raised by gay couples.

At one point in my I use to be scared of gays...IDK why...anyway I've changed my thoughts over time because some of my best friends are gay. Thats why I began a social worker to stand up for people's rights.

As a Young Democrat, I've had plenty of debates with people on the matter, and I'm actually kind of jealous of his advantage. Nothing speaks to the truth of equality as much as first-hand experience in a matter, in my opinion. Of course, the flip side of that is that he's probably been put in many uncomfortable situations I've never had to deal with because I was raised by a mother and father.
I really like this video, as a young American, because it shows me what my generation is capable of.
