Fi Audio 18" BL Subwoofer in a Cherokee Sport!!!

The XJ is fucking awesome for bass. I have an 8" in a 6th order bandpass box of my own design (tuned for 25hz-200hz; with a 70hz bandpass filter) and, with 300w RMS, it will rattle your skull! I could only imagine what this setup must sound like! I went with an 8" because I need the cargo space, and with a 6th order BP box, I can get close to the performance of a 15" in a standard ported box.

nice setup dude. Just so ya know, i had a fi Q 18" on the same amp, and it was pretty good, but eventually i sold it cause i wasn't too happy. Later on i heard a BL 12" with 2000 watts on it and it was the best sounding system i've ever heard. So moral of the story is them fi subs start sounding excellent when you juice them up a bit compared to just good when they are normally powered!~ 5 star

1000 RMS is LOUD. But 2000 RMS it louder. idk. i dont think i would by that 18" though...i mean if you are going to buy an 18" buy the loudest one. otherwise the size if just for show. The BTl 18 hits twice as hard than that. literally. I have a 93 Grand Cherokee, & my 15 is being pushed a Performance Teknique amp & its only 650 RMS 3000 Watts max. my Concept 15" is only 1800W in a selaed in box & it does the same thing that this Jeep in doing. keep bumping it.

Yeah, the Q series and the BL series have the same nominal ratings (1000 rms)!

...And That's Off A Dirty 950 Watts RMS, Maybe. Hifonics Are Underrated, I've Put Meters On Them, They Don't Run True. Dangerous To Run On A Sub Too, They're Clipping Machines. Try A Sundown SAE-1200D With A 7.5 Cubic Foot Box @ 35hz. Hits Way Harder, And Still Crisp And Clear.

@BigCProductions99 Since you don't know you're shit I'll tell you. The new 2010 Hifonics amps are cea compliant meaning they will push what they say at the volts they say. Also any amp can clip if you don't know how to set your gain even a sundown, so before you knock something pay the fuck attention.
