I love the Koenigsegg because of it's revolutionary looks, but is the Italian design so technically proven that it must be the basis for nearly all new super exotics? The Bugatti Veron didn't follow that protocol.... Maybe Shelby just focused on the powerplant tech stuff and "borrowed" the styling from proven Italian legends?? Anybody can make anything go really fast in a straight line but i bet as soon as it hits a corner at speed its done. Yes its top speed is impressive, but its doesnt even come close to the engineering accomplishment of the bugatti, when you consider what the veyron is burdened with i.e. its luxurious trimmings and then the way it brakes, handles and its everyday practicality. If Bugatti made a racing version of the veyron,i.e. stripped out all the luxury it would destroy any car!.End Of

That guy just hinted at how other ppl can beat the aero, build \ turbine 2000hp engine . turbine has very high hp to weight ratio , up to 5times. recriprocating engine hp/weight ratio is approx 5000hp/ton, turbine can achieve about 20,000hp/ton.

don't care about slow turbine throttle response or whatever. as with ssc, only top speed matters, so build a turbine car, very light turbine car maybe <1000kg, and have it hit 500kmh and acc 0-200mph in less than 10 seconds!

ludakrysgti u are so right. The Veyron has an amazing brakes system ( it's rear foil alone generates the same braking power as a normal hatchback) so it's very good at corners. American cars are all about muscle and speed whereas European cars pay as much attention to the precision and cornering. Granted, maybe this car is faster on a straight line, but on a track it would pwn the Aero.
