in 2009 they voted for the ban of minarets. this is shit. but in germany the same topic is used by the right wing nationalists as propaganda. it has to be taken seriously if people are afraid of mosques / islam. hiding it is not the solution.

You admit yourself, Direct Democracy can be used for evil. Representative government is crippled and therefore the progression to evil is slowed. This is further slowed by checks and balances. I am by no means supporting government, but Direct Democracy is too fast.
