  • Mp3 400 lt....the future is now!three wheels is better!

  • No not for me. I have a Burgman 400 2009 ABS and if I compare with the video the Burgman let you extend your legs or put them in other position. I can't imagine myself riding the MP3 like you are sitting in a chair for 350Km. It is a nice scoot that MP3 with a lot of possibility but the man in that video his legs is 90 degrees’ and the pedal at the floor... It is out now.

  • I've had mine (250) for more than 3.5 years now. I'm still loving it. Great for the daily commute and easy on the gas, it only costs me about $10 to fill each week vs. $40 to fill my car for the same amount of driving.

  • 'Does it make any sense?' NO! It does not, that is why it is AWESOME

  • "The Piaggio MP3, because of the close spacing of its front wheels, is considered to be a two-wheeled open motorcycle by Transport Canada. It can be registered as a motorcycle. Anyone taking his/her road test on the Piaggio MP3, will receive an unrestricted M class licence."

  • GORGEOUS! I WANT ONE :D

  • I have Zip. I love it! :)

  • I have the MP3 400 LT i can cruise all day at 70mph. very good on the motorway.

  • @fullofcolourart And very dangerous too mate. btw i have mp3 250, its not bad but I just rides it in the city or country side not motorway.safety first.

  • y en colombia donde se consgiue??

  • Dude yesterday i saw one of this here in Rio copacabana!!!!

  • its good that one of the lights is out at about 3.43-3.45

  • @buttknuckler What Do You Mean? It only Has 1 Light For most of The Video The Other Only comes On when You Hit The Brights

  • They STOLE my invention, watch my vid.

  • It has a broken head light.

  • @Hughganaught Most bikes only have one of two bulbs on when switched to low beam...High beam would have both - perfectly normal.

  • ^^ no thats normal because that are new ligts and there just one lamp lighting

  • Saw one on Craigslist. It's different, but i can't see myself on one. I could not believe the owner, when he said he dropped it. It had a scratch on it. How could you drop it?

  • @talltom1973 It drops just as easily as a two-wheeler if the suspension lock is off.

  • why is it so hard to get one in the uk

  • @delete222333

    You guys are lucky

  • Its a can-am..If you make the front end wider and bring the wheels out more, you'd get the same bike...Not putting the machine down or anything but, thats how it looks to me..

  • you are awesome

  • It's a great peace of work, definitely safer, but way too expensive I think.

  • Ahmmm, I wanted to say piece of work, not peace.

  • Good video here, good job

  • tare fratee!

  • where is a one front light ?

  • if you buy a scooter buy a TMAx ffs !

  • come on people, the Piaggio mp3 is not for speed but rather small commutes.

  • Bring back the Sinclair C5...

  • wtf, learn to speak

  • You're a moron. Who buys a 3-wheeled Piaggio when they want a bike like a CBR? "Hey I'm going to get this scooter so i can go fast like a rocket ship!!!!!!"

  • lol at not being allowed to ride this here with a motorcycle license but only with a car one...

  • @BramNLjaja

In most countries having a car licence is a prerequisite for a motorcycle licence. As such, because you cannot have the latter without the former, someone who has a motorcycle licence must have a car licence and therefore would be allowed to ride an MP3.

  • @BigTwitchy ok thanks for the info, in my country you don't need the car license beforehand, shame you have to be a cager before you can be cool in some countries :(

  • It doesn't have a headlight out; lots of sportbikes nowadays have a single light for low beam and a single light for high beam.

  • someone who have this bike can send me a msge plz?

i want to buy one and have a few questions, salesmen told you anithing to sell so i want the opinion from an owner

    plz write me a message

  • It's not a fault with the design. Any motorbike, scooter with twin headlamps only have one on when it's on dip but both come on when full beam is used. I used to have a Yamaha Fazer 600 which did the same. When there's only a single headlamp both lighting elements are in the same headlamp, rather like a car.

  • Na ja 3 Räder mehr Sicherheit

  • headlight out. pull that dumb fucking thing over.

  • @bridgecraft47 This has been said over and over, and none of the idiots ever listen: the headlight isn't out. Dual headlamp motorcycles usually have one light on for low beams and both on for high beams. There's nothing wrong with that MP3 and I can't fathom why you think it "dumb".

  • Gaylord

  • I'm gonna check my 2 lottery tickets. If either of them came out in my favor,I'll go to the nearest (BMW?)Vespa dealership, and find out if I can take a test ride on any model of Piaggio MP3.

  • I read there's no ABS available for the MP3. True?

  • ten skuter jest totalnie zjebany..W Polsce sie nie sprzedał.Bzdura.Po co zmieniac cos ,co juz od lat jest dobre.

  • What a great bike. I would like to buy one of these, it's probablly more stable that a normal bike. more unique and offers a nice handling.

  • yes is more stable but is still a bike, remember that, u can fall.

im gonna buy one too ^^

  • I've had the mp3 500 since October and have put about 3000 miles on it...private msg me if you want any input, or have any questions.

  • hey mate.i was looking in to getting a mp3

ether the 400 or the 500.but my problem is that iam short, besides reversing, can i keep my feet up all the time while I rideit,or would I need to put them down when I stop?

  • When moving slowly you can flick a switch which locks the front wheels so you don't topple over. It's apparently useful when coming to a stop at lights, give way, stop signs etc but I've heard it takes some getting used to as the atural reaction is to put your foot down when coming to a stop. When you move off the system automatically disengages. I've been doing some research as I'm considering getting one.

  • I WANT ONEEEEEEEEE

  • That would be nice for police officers..

  • I find it ironic in this video that the left head light was not operative for a bike that cost that many euros. For that many euros, it should offer HiD's.

  • Idiot, it only has 1 low beam and 1 high beam, either side of each other.

  • I did NOT know that. What is the purpose to that design?

  • Dont know, i have the Aussie MP3 250, mines the same, the MP3 500/Gilera Fuoco has low beam and high beam on both sides.. I dont know what theyre talking about saying the 250 isnt powerful enough, im 127 kilo and it sits on 135 quite nicely

  • Have you done any modifications to your Mp3 yet? Exhaust, Chip? Electronics? Navigation?

  • isnt it for day time and night and also parking ??

low beam is for day and when you park so they wont hit it.

and high is for driving arround at night

  • and how do the small lamps at the top light up???does anybody know?

  • The small lamps are the parkers, they come on when the key is turned to the on position.

With the current economic prices of the gear, its too expensive to import the mod chips and the exhausts to australia, the muffler alone will cost around $1300 AUD.

The tilting frame and top box for the MP3 in australia is currently around the $900 mark.

The frame tilts so you can still access the scooters trunk

  • You ignore the reasons for it! The italian law say that a bike MUST HAVE the head light -ON- THE DAY. ONE ONLY is better for your battery life. Not only, but you can't

turn off the head light in all new models

of scooter. All this is made to improve your visibility, to avoid many accidents with cars. BEAR IN MIND the italian bikes

are the only in all world that can beat the JAP bikes in ALL competitions(AMA, SBK,

MOTOGP, etc.) this means an high constructive(and materials) quality.

  • I'm in the states. Not in europe or Australia. I did NOT know anything about the location the bike until someone above posted it. I only know of the ones locally in the states that I've seen that NOT have this feature enabled.

  • Ok, Ok, i apologize my wrong interpretation of your words. ...nice day.

  • dmmcmah1 --why don't you go to the modern vespa formum and read on the mp3 comments. . why wouldn't it ride like a motorcycle if the front wheels articulate? What does i ride like then? a trike? don't think so. Wouldn't want someone to think they can hopp up on one and get a false since of security that it rides like a three wheeler. AND YES no license in CA. Maybe stupid but currently that's the law. Again go to the forum and read what other MP3 riders say. And anyone else reading this should.

  • Well in CA you don't need a motorcycle license for the 500. Bought mine there

  • Seriously wow. I'm thinking about getting the 500. What are the ups/downs of it?

  • I find that hard to believe. An MP3 rides exactly like a motorcycle, even though it has more grip in corners and better braking due to the second front wheel. But it definitely handles like a motorcycle, and if its true CA doesn't require a motorcycle license for it that is plain stupid, the result will be a lot of people who don't know how to ride motorcycles cruising around on what are essentially motorcycles. That being said, the MP3 is great and I recommend it to anyone thinking of one.

  • I own an Mp3 500. Two things:

    1. YOU CAN'T DRIVE THIS ON A CAR LICENSE IN THE UNITED STATES! YOU HAVE TO HAVE A MOTORCYCLE LICENSE!!!

    2. If you've never rode one, then no amount of explaining will tell you why this is about 500000 times better than a car...quicker, better handling, looks better, MUCH better mpg, and WAAAAY MORE FUN THAN ANYTHING!! So if you can't understand riding something that gives you the same feeling as a 100K $ sportscar for around 8K$, then nothing will make it clear.

  • You have to realize that this video was... well obviously made in the UK.

  • i didn't know piaggio were sold in usa!

    good!

  • You didn't pay attention to the video: these are the new Piaggio MP3 LLLLLLTTTTTTT wich came with 250cc and 400cc versions. Their front axis it's wider than the previous versions witch, in legal terms, allows people to drive them with a car driving licence (at least in most Europe), as the voice over the video explains.

  • I understand what is being said here but I'd like to know where the regulations are. I am having to sell my beloved 400cc for which I did take my bike test. I am hoping to sell it with the note that a car licence is enough. Can you help?

  • i dont know where you from but hre in spain you can drive this bike with A type license
