Very impessive! Mikael Carlsons Fokker Dr1 seems to be one of the most "original" replicas built of this popular WW1 fighter. I watched him at Rygge Air Show 2009, and even the smell of the airplane was the historic correct castor oil smell!
But... what happened at 0:50? Did he stall the Fokker during the last quarter of the roll??? It seems to me the triplane is about to enter a spin, but control is quickly and skillfully regained by Mikael. Scary...
Definitely looks like he stalled inverted (flat spin) and quickly recovered to a nose down attitude. It appears he may have done it intentionally. Decreasing speed during a barrel roll in a rotary powered Fokker Triplane is quite dangerous. Mikael is quite a skilled pilot and he likes to show everything he can do with the plane. Quite a performance and excellent videography.
@ 0:50 Oh my............

Amazing video! Great piloting by Carlson. A very demanding aircraft to fly, but if done well, a deadly combat plane! Thanks for posting this video.

excellent piloting and a very maneuverable aircraft. TO be honest though I prefer the Albetross D.V

Really great airplane video filming of a real icon of WWI fighters. That era of biplanes are the most enjoyable of all airplanes to watch .

Awesome audio with video, best YouTube footage of a 110 HP LeRhone in flight.

Yep! Made my heart skip a beat, even though it was a post-facto video.
