@Lilday2008 If you can afford a $1,612.02 bicycle, you should be able to afford a better lock then this piece of crap. These are information vids only, and they encourage lock companies to produce better locks. Would you purchase this lock now that you see how easy it can be opened without a key? I doubt it. And if your $1,612.02 was stolen, just what make/type lock were you using?
-And finally anybody that buys a $1,612.02 bicycle needs there head examined anyway.
Kryptonite make a range of what they call deterrent locks which are really just for things that wouldn't be worth stealing. Wouldn't really class picking as a "criminal skill" now days cable locks are just cut off.
Picking can leave scratches on the pins if your excessively raking backwards and forwards. The best and most worrying way to open locks, with little to no skill, is with bump/999 keys.
Well a pick set is nondestructive, light weight, pocket size & shows no sign of forced entry, not to mention affordable & shows skill.
I'd like to see the pair of scissors that would cut that lock. If by "scissors" you mean cable cutters, they would have to be about 3' long to provide enough leverage, heavy, expensive, non-concealable & destructive.
@bestSVMS Bolt cutters will not cut cable, they will only mash it! To cut cable you actually need, get this, "cable cutters". And to cut STEEL cable of that size you can spend well over $100 for a pair to cut somewhat easily.
And besides it's all about non-destructive entry & honing your skills. Cutting Or breaking locks are for losers.
@bruno2260 I KNEW it would be easy to get a response from you. Your kind is always predictable, like a cheap lock.
Hey, try this one on: maybe from what you teach here, some gang of "winners" will pick their way into your home and ass rape your family! If it happens, please post!.
Lockpicking is more of a hobby. I got regular old cheap-ass Kwikset locks on my house, because I know a thief isn't gonna waste time & money buying a pick set and spending countless hours learning who to use them. Then go on someones property and try to pick a lock when his under pressure, it's almost impossible, he's going for the surefire method of forced entry.
-And ya you just proved it, you really are an asshole.
@bruno2260 I'm going too far. I apologize giving you a hard time. I understand where you're coming from by showing the weaknesses of cheap locks. I just don't personally see that it's overall helpful to society to show this stuff.
@scl67scl Ok, everything is cool. What it was is, I traded locks with others from all over the U.S. and even Germany & England (see my various videos). Some locks got passed several times for different people to "pick".
Check out the people I subscribed to and notice they are all lockpickers too.
But I've been done with it for a while now, my last vid was a few years ago.
@bruno2260 I get it and that stuff sounds interesting. Maybe this will encourage lock makers to invent better and better locks. My bike was stolen yesterday and unbelievably, recovered today, which might explain a little my being inappropriate. They apparently successfully picked my kryptonite, flat key, u lock. Left me wondering what could be safe
@scl67scl Try a "disc-style" cylinder lock like Kryptonite 3.3 NY Chain it has a $3,000 ATP (anti-theft protection), or Kryptonite U-lock NY Fahgettaboudit it comes with $4,500 ATP. I know ur Krypto let u down, and I mention these 2 for the ATP $. The average locksmith can't pick a "disk-style" lock. But if ur done with Krypto, try Medeco or Mul-T-Lock but u'll have to supply ur own chain, cable, etc. Maybe the best thing 2 do is make ur bike look less appealing somehow.? But that's a Catch 22.
@scl67scl What ever you do don't get a "round key" Krypto, go for the "disk-style" lock.
Look up this video "Kryptonite lock mayhem" a girl with no training picks a $100+ bike lock in about 5sec. So just because you pay a lot doesn't mean it's good. Do your research (I'd go for disk-style). But then the lock is only as good as the chain, cable, etc. Good luck.
@bruno2260 also, moron, people ALREADY OWN THESE LOCKS... and are NOT AWARE OF YOUR VIDEO and therefore, get this (cause I know it's a big concept for you)....ARE NOW MORE VULNERABLE BECAUSE OF YOUR ASININE VIDEO.....any of this getting through knucklehead?
@scl67scl This lock cost anywhere from $21 to $38 (depending on store) for a lock with only 4 non-security pins. So basically their selling about $3 of cable made to look extra thick with plastic coating with a $2 lock on the end of it.
So if you bought this lock you got ripped-off, and if you use this lock plan on getting ripped-off again.
Do some research before buying stuff, and you won't get ripped-off, the info is there.
No "guff" this lock is very, very easy to pick. Would be a great beginners lock but it's kinda' pricey 'cause of the cable. That's why people usually start on a Master or Kwikset. Check out my vids on them I open them with one hand. "lockpicking 2272-Master #3" And "One hand dead bolt picking"
hey bruno could you tell me how to pick a master lock 40 ive been trying all day im a beginner i just got a set today and i picked it 4 times but i cant seem to get it any more what tool should i use. also is it illegal to own lock picks?
lol my 4yr old daughter was standing next to me when i watched the multi-lock one!!!! she screamed and hid under my bed!!!!!! it took me 2 houres to fish her out!!!!.....lol
Haha, no probelm Bruno! I laughed yea, and cussed a bit too. But it's all in good fun. You slaughtered that kryptonite cable lock, nice work. keep the video's coming man, I look forward to them. Peace
dont bitch about it when one of your friends or family gets ripped off or killed cause you help promote how to be a thief

@cromag327 I'm not "promoting" how to be a thief, but what locks not to buy.

why the fuck are you showing people this?!
You fucking retards you obviously don't know what its like to have a £1,000 bike stolen.
Assholes I hope somebody breaks into your houses and rapes you. Why the fuck would you encourage theft? You dicks can't afford your own shit?

@bruno2260 actually they say those cable locks can be cut 5seconds with a small bolt cutters, and a little longer with hand tools.
And no one cares if u walk around with bolt cutters:look on youtube

@scl67scl All I did was to show how shitty this lock is, I don't encourage stealing.
I'll ask you, would you buy this lock now? I don't think so, but if you do than you really are as dumb as your last comment.
