Thank you for making this video! I've watched a few other spinning videos on here and no one has explained what the heck they're doing with their hands. You explain it so clearly and simply, I want to get started right away!!
thanks, I had some instruction at maker fair, but wasn't really making much progress. this makes a lot more sense, now. i might have to progress past the free cd spindle that we made there, as it can be a bit frustrating.
Great video. Thanks! I've used fat hair scrunchies as a "distaff" but I like your idea of a hand-knitted one much better. This is the first time I've seen one of those Golding aromatics in action. Very fun.
Very nice ideas and well presented! thank you for the helpful and encouraging video. I am going to try the "untwist" which I don't think was taught to me previously.
Drafting is pulling the fiber apart, to put it simply. You're thinning it out to the desired thickness and sort of evening things so your spun yarn is the weight you want it to be.
GREAT. Nice drill on the untwist-draft-travel technique. I've watched about a dozen how-tos tonight (I'm going to make me a spindle tomorrow!) and yours won me, for sure. Hope you made more! xoxo from Nashville

Is the pattern that you mean A Handspindle Treasury by Interweave Knits?
Great video and tip with the untwisting at the point of contact. I have been having problem with twist at my fiber supply. Need to try definitely.
