  • Even 8 year olds and up need adult supervision. Teach your child not to put fingers in the Easy Bake Oven and use the spatula to push the food inside. A 2 year-old should know that he/she should not put his/her fingers in the Easy Bake Oven. Even her older sister can have stuck fingers too so children should need adult supervision.

  • Teach your child to never put the hands in the oven. If I was a parent, I would let her use the Easy-Bake Oven but warn her use the spatula designed to put food in the center of the oven.

Parenting 101 for me is awful. I use Parenting 200.

  • i had a white one when i was like four, and i never got hurt

  • it's 4 ages 8 and up. the box says keep away from children.

  • my thing is with the parents.. learn to read... it usually says 5,6 or 8 and up... so realistically I blame the parents. sorry.. but how do you blame a company when the age restriction is on the box, even if the parents dont read the box knowing that the product gets hot... Hello.... yall just wanted attention. Just remember the words.. "oven" and "hot" and not to mention that there is a cord attached to the product.

  • @ladyjeng Really, can you read? The 2 year old was not invited to play with the Easy-Bake Oven. It was put away in a (lower) kitchen cabinet. It was not plugged in and was not hot. What it was, was designed in such a way as to be very attractive to little kids to stick their hands in and then designed to trap their hands. It took a huge crew of EMS personnel some time to get her hand out. We were lucky; she was not hurt. Some kids were badly hurt. We didn't want attention and didn't sue.

  • @easybakerecall it was still your fault you let the 2 year old go into the lower cabinets which was proably on her/his height so dont blame hasbro ladyjeng may not be 100% correct but they have a point.blame the parents who did not store it properly or kept it away from a child.(also not this one toy is attractive to every single kid.kids are human beings and have opinions so dont say kids in general)

  • @easybakerecall Oh yeah and i just watched this idiotic video because i had to pause it to respond to you but your going to ruin your older childs toy just because your 2 year old had her hand stuck in it.WOW wonderful parenting and being fair to all of your children.what do you think hasbro will watch this and be offended just because of your own horrible parenting.your pathetic.

  • Don't blame bad parenting on a toy company which has made quality toys for 88 years jesus christ

  • 1. What kind of child decides to stick their hand in an oven? Even I wasn't dumb enough to do that as a 4 year old.

    2. It says ages 8 and up on the box

    3. If you're so concerned about it, put it in a place your child can't reach.

    4. You dumbasses took my queasy bake. D:

  • mommy mommy come quick its stuck ur hand again X I no my rock oh ok

  • It's Hasbros fault you're bad parents and allow your child to play with toys designed for much older children who won't be retarded and jam their hands in the thing? I think not.

  • My young sister got an Easy-Bake Oven for christmas from our older sister, but one day our older sister said that Hasbro issued a recall.& our sister had to return it.Me & my sister kept the coupons just in case our older sister got her a new one when the recall thing was over. But the coupons expired & our sister didn't get us a new one.I always wondered why..

  • seriously, you should take more time and put more thought into where you put it away, but nooo instead of that you just shove it into a pantry, where a child can just climb on the counter and take it out. So you blame the toy company for your mistakes. Then you let her put rocks in it. I thought you'd learn the fist time

  • You know, when I was a child an my parents did not want me playing with something I wasn't supposed to, it would be placed on top of the refrigerator or another HIGH place because somehow my folks inately knew that I would not stack the 600 cereal boxes on top of each other it would take my short 3-7 year old ass to get to something that a REAL parent actually took time out to put it high enough and MAKE SURE I could not reach it!

  • I am a single mom of five. Who is retarded enough to stand by and watch their child shove rocks into an oven after a prior accident? You people are a bunch of money grubbers. We have TWO Easy Bake Ovens in our family and I would never leave any children unattended with them, plugged in or not. Why didn't the police arrest you for neglect and child abuse?

  • THANK YOU!!!!

  • @Tammysgirl1 cant believe your a single mom of five!! your an amazing and strong woman!! and its true i think any mom responsable mom in the world would leave their child playing alone specially if theyre young

  • My little sister is four... And she knows better not to put her hand in there. because we TAUGHT her not to. And we don't let her bake with her sisters... My dad is the one that watches her.

  • The new easy bake oven is a lot better and safer. It is actually an Easy Bake MICROWAVE. Instead of an open slot, there is a DOOR. And also, like a real microwave, you can only open it by pressing a button, or pulling it open, which would make an even LESS chance for a little child to get there hand stuck into it.

  • You stupid F*#% It douches bags like you that get all the cool toys taken away from kids... So if your daughter cuts her hand on a knife in your kitchen would you recall those too... basically don't try and blame your bad parenting on toy companies

  • LOL , thats gay.

Shes so little why would they let her use it anyways ?

And why are they encouraging her to put rocks in it ?

  • pouse at 00:9 it say her SISTER

  • even it says ages 8 and up Hasbro should feel guilty for creating a complicating Easy-Bake model because I never liked that model and i have seen that model in local thrift stores and I think this model in BULLSHIT.

  • You people consistently don't read very well, do you? The Easy-Bake Oven did not belong to the two year old. It belonged to her older sister. The two year old was not allowed to play with it. The oven was not left out. It was put away in the pantry. The two year old put her hand in the oven in the pantry.

  • Maybe that's why it says 3 and over eh?

  • @easybakerecall my easy bake mad platic

  • well it says on the box in huge letters ages 8 and up a 4 year old is not allowed using that so what the hell of people are YOU!!!!!!!

  • @hannahmontanafan0788

So what's your problem? If I have a child, I would teach under-aged people how to bake using that toy oven. So what's your problem? As early as 2 years old, he/she should learn safety. Instead of using hands, he/she should use the pushing tool that comes with it. Today the Easy Bake Oven is better and it looks like a real oven. There is no problem with the toy, it's the child. Parents should teach them how to bake in an Easy Bake Oven.

    Mariana Erwin

  • Why would u do that to your kid she's only 4 and THE BOX SAYS AGES 8 AND UP my sis got it yesterday because she turned 8 and she LOVES BAKING!

  • hasbro doesnt look like the criminal, u guys do. r u for real? the kid, who is under the age to use such a toy, got her hand stuck there, and you guys got her a new one, and basically told her to put her hand back in htere? what kind of ppl are u? bad parenthood right there.

dont blame the company, when they gav a clear age warning, 8 is obviously alot smarter than 4 and kno/remember what will hurt them.

  • Agreed, the age is 8 and up. You should be supervising your child.

  • i noe its only 4 8 yrs old and up!u cant buy that 4 a 2 year old.

  • well HELLLLLLOOOOOO IT SAYS 8 AND UP ON THE B-O-X!!! HASBRO SHOULD COMPLAIN TO YOU!!

  • @KUMU4 If you read the first part of this video, IT SAYS IT WAS HER OLDER SISTERS!!!!! GO BE AN IDIOT SOMEWHERE ELSE WOULD YA?

  • @Mliaer1 okkkkk thanks for replying 2 YEARS LATER!! LMAO nah i rather be an idiot to you ONLY ;)

  • @KUMU4 Okay. If you want to be an idiot to me only go ahead. I don't understand why you would be laughing your ass off but, it's a free country.=-|

  • I am confused as to why someone who says their child got their hand seriously trapped in an easybake oven would then give the same child that oven back and film them putting their hands in it.

    Bizarre.

  • I got the same easy bake oven.when I read the box it said.....8 AND UP.

  • K so listen I got ths toy last year when i was 9 and my mom took it away because of the saftey hazard

  • lol u guys are idiots the oven obviously wasnt meant for a 2 year old. Like shit it's common sense to keep the oven away from her

  • Don't buy your kid stupid shit and you wont have to worry about it :)

  • so true.

  • You folks are missing the fact that the Easy-Bake Oven was unplugged and put away in a kitchen cabinet. To our minds, the danger was heat, and unplugging it and putting it away was protecting her from that heat. Who knew that the thing was designed to trap the hands of little people who opened the cabinet and stuck their hands in the flap? We didn't. Nor did lots of other people whose kids were injured. That's the point.

  • if it was for her older sister then she she should of been supervised, but the flap dosent do much to protect children from getting there hand stuck it just makes even more a death trap with trapping your fingers.

  • dosent it have a warning to say you should be 8-9 plus? this is dangerous for a two year old.

  • she's obviously too young to know any better. why the hell would you allow her play with it and put her hand in? granted the flap thing doesn't do anything but you have to own up to the fact that YOU let her play with it when shes too young and YOU let her put her hand in it.

  • What a tool!!

Shouldn't you be supervising your girls at all times?

You had to go and waste all of those man hours from the Rescue Services just because you couldn't keep an eye on your girls??

    Geez!

  • Aparently you don't have children...it's impossible to be around all the time. And if do have children then they're probably going to be dependent on you forever...kids explore and get into stuff. Chances are she was screaming and crying scared when her hand got stuck and if you have 2 kids it's well known that they're going to play with each others toys.

  • First of all the Easy Bake oven is for ages 8-11 smart one and thats why they give u a spatula so u can put it in and take it out ur never and not suppose to put ur hand inside!

  • it don't matter if they r 8 or younger they r kids and they will put their hands in there if they want to stick there hand in they r going to do it when no one is around and some how they will find away smart or not smart it dose not matter

  • why did you buy it? like what is your problem the old version was better and because of your little brat they dont make the old one anymore

  • a lot of kids are smart thesse days, i mean putting a fuckin flap over it does not help at all. But even so, Kids ages 8 or 9+ should not play with those type of toys, If they do, adults must be with them helping their child AT ALL TIMES. yea, haha good thing the didn't make a lawn mower

  • i'm sorry i ment 8 and under should not be playing with the toys

  • Good thing hasbro never came out with the easy lawn lawn mower

  • So, if your 2 year old keeps playing with the oven, why don't you just put it up in a high closet, and make a rule that the other little girl has to ask you to use it first? That is what my mom did when I had one.

  • yo i was about to buy it i was gonna wait this video teaches a liston easy bake ovens are dangeraous if u want A OVEN MAKE SURE KIDS DONT TOUCH THEM hope they make a oven in 08 called oven for kids that is safe easy bake oven u stube famous when i foud out about the led i knew they was going to be a recall recall recall !!!!!!!

  • 2.5 year old with FREE REIGN over your house? what makes you like that!? Your two year old should of NEVER HAD access to that stupid oven. Instead of buying the oven you should buy responicible parenting 101.

  • @iannamico

You bitch. I use Parenting 200 which makes your child more spoiled!

    Mariana Erwin

  • @iannamico

So what's your problem with Free REIGN? I had free reign too. I am teached not to put those hands into that oven. That's why there is a spatula. Strict parenting can make your child having no fun. I have fun being as a child. There is no problem with theirs. It is their child not taught to not put the hands in the oven. Teach them how and also supervise.

    Mariana Erwin

  • Keep your 2 year old away from Easybake ovens. easybakes and 2 year olds don't mix.

  • @lobsterworm

Maybe they can mix. If you teach a 2 year old girl not to put hands in an Easy Bake Oven and use the spatula, they will be safe from being their hands stuck in the flap.

    Mariana Erwin

P.S. Easy Bake Ovens and 2 YR. OLDS MIX WITH ADDITIONAL SUPERVISION.

  • thats why on cpsc website they now said that if you return the oven they will give you credit on another product

  • 98770: yes, we're very happy that Hasbro is finally doing the right thing and genuinely recalling this product (meaning asking for them back, instead of providing a retrofit that did nothing).

  • Comment removed

  • Yes, that's what the box says, though many would argue that they actually market it more to kids a couple years younger than that. Regardless, the Easy-Bake Oven did not belong to our 2 year old, it belonged to her older sister -- as is stated in the video. The oven was unplugged and stored on a shelf in our pantry. But by age 2 1/2, kids have pretty free reign of the house. Is it reasonable to expect that these toys would ONLY be sold into houses where the YOUNGEST child is 8?

  • It is reasonable to expect that a parent should supervise a 2 at all times. With older kids and younger kids in the same house it isn't unreasonable to protect them from older kid toys. We protected our younger kids from legos, lite brite pegs, easy bake ovens and all sorts of things. 2 year olds shouldn't be expected to watch themselves. It's obvious from the video that she didn't learn from her experience since she is still willing to put her hand in there. That's because she is 2.

  • @Audiparty your a retard because you dont even look you lazy fat ass
