I might be wrong but I think that if Lennox Louise had shorter arms, Tyson would win. Because you can see that Lennox advantage is very long arms which makes long jab punches easy for him.

Sports of the Times; Lewis's Legacy Is Taking a Beating
By DAVE ANDERSON Published: June 23, 2003
Whenever boxing buffs measure Lewis against other heavyweight champions, those three names will sabotage his stature. When the best heavyweights of the past lost, it usually was to worthy opponents. But the best champions never got knocked out, as Lennox Lewis did, by somebody like Hasim Rahman or Oliver McCall. Or needed an asterisk to get by somebody like Vitali Klitschko.
@George18798 Ye sure he lost because he didn't "want" to win that much. Why not suck his dick when you're at it. Wanted to go out beautiful like a champion? So getting knocked out after getting completely outboxed the entire fight is your idea of going out beautifully?
Tyson has more one-shot power than McCall & Rahman, & he was a proficient combination puncher anyway. He looks as though he is in slow-motion when compared with the young Tyson. When the first combination of fast, heavy blows land, Lewis will fall, & he lacks the heart to recover.
Its a shame Tyson turned into a train wreck after the death of Jimmy Jacobs and marriage breakdown. He turned to partying and drugs. Sonny Liston went same way, his best fights were before he was heavyweight champ

Put him down as the GREATEST MAN to ever box, and a hero bigger than boxing. Once Ali lost his speed, it only showed that he'd never developed a great defense.
5. Joe Frazier.
Only because he depended solely on his left hook do I rate Joe Frazier below Marciano. Marciano could hit with both hands.
6. Jack Dempsy.
Jack Dempsy's very name means strength and courage. Other than Joe Louis, there is not a name in boxing or in sports with more meaning.

By Eric Thomas: Big George Foreman (76-5, 68 KO’s) gave WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (43-2, 40 KO’s) a big compliment after his win over Tomasz Adamek (44-2, 28 KO’s) last weekend, saying on his twitter “The champ Klitschko is as good as any other of the past champs. Better than me.”
Razor Ruddock - a walking Asthma Attack who had already been ko'd by a bum called David Jaco who retired with a 24-25-1 (18 by KO) record, who had never held any version of a world title and no relevant wins
Frank Bruno - 1993- Famous for stamina problems and a caramel chin (James Smith '84 + Witherspoon '86) washed up Bruno had fought just 4 times (against bums) since a KO to Tyson in '89
By The Washington Times Saturday, February 7, 2004
The list of Lewis’ conquests is hardly a Hall of Fame roster: Phil Jackson, Zeljko Mavrovic, Shannon Briggs (who almost knocked Lewis out in the first round), Michael Grant, Frans Botha and David Tua among them.
How Lewis held the title three times is not a Rocky story. He won the vacant WBC belt the first time in May 1993 with a lackluster decision over Tony Tucker
Tony Tucker - Made his name going 12 with Prime Mike Tyson in 1987. Lennox waited until Tony was 35 years old, fat and addicted to cocaine, and beat him 116-112. Not only that, he looked like shit doing it. This 1993 version of Tucker had 3 years out of boxing. In fact, Tucker was so washed up that Brucde Seldon ko'd him in 7 rounds and Herbie Hide took just 2 rounds to get the job done
@Superwhodatt For One Moment, Tucker Had It All : Boxing:

Cited repeatedly are his long absence from boxing since the loss to Tyson 29 months ago, and terms in drug rehabilitation clinics in West Hampton, N.J., and Tucson.
HAHAHA
DRUG ADDICT TONY TUCKER = MURDERED IN 2 ROUNDS BY CRUISERWEIGHT BUM HERBIE HIDE
LUMMOX LEWIS = MARSHMALLOW HANDS
LUMMOX LEWIS = CAN'T EVEN KO A WASHED UP DRUG ADDICT
ill tell ya what,at his peak tyson was have moidered this guy, exactly like he did everybody else, and thats a fact i'd bet on every time.mike was flat worn out here, a shell of his former self, which is fortunate for lennox.lennox is a great great near perfect fighter,i love the guy,but he s not beating up a prime mike tyson, and niether is anybody else,FEROCIOUS!!there is no jab he could not slip inside of,and theres no one ever that could handle his muderous inside game,or his speed.
Tyson was a good fighter, he wasn't great. He didn't fight superb fighters in his prime. The first truely great fighter he fought was Holyfield who showed him up. Lewis would have boxed behind the jab and still got the result. Remember Lewis here is older than Tyson. Tyson being compared to Ali by some is a joke. He wouldn't have beaten fighters like Ali, Foreman, Fraizer or Norton even in his prime. His KO ratio against average fighters made people notice him, not his "greatness"
You can see a old tyson would have done twice the bobing and weaving in the same time, i think in his prime he would beat lewis, like i said tyson is slow slow slow compared to what he can do,
Lewis is a year older than Tyson, so why don't you get a grip, stop making excuses for someone you've never even met and accept that anyone can lose a fight.
@bums643 lewis was never a fast puncher though, tyson was known for speed which won him all of his fights, when you get that old you cant keep up that speed which is why he lost this fight. Its the most obvious reason why he lost
Lol no matter how many times you tell them but still some noob Tyson lover will always say Tyson in his prime bla bla, Lewis beat him get over it pple!
Tyson's problems all came from the Mental side, as soon as some one stood up to him he couldn't take it and got frustrated. Even before he lost against Buster you saw his fights lasting longer and longer and suddenly Tyson lost the only reason why he won, fear.
Look at it this way tyson does look fuck i mean mentally an physically. Old days i say tyson all day. But this fight you can see he he even looks old. Then again well done lewis he out boxed a ko king.
Most 'Part time Boxing fans' on here don't even know Lewis was the older fighter, this fight would've been EXTREMELY tough for Mike at any point in his career. Stylistically Lewis would always be a tough fight for Tyson. That's just Boxing and these are just two GREAT fighters.
I hate Lewis but that KO punch was brilliant, knowing Tyson was already hurt and slow to react he sets him up with decoy left jab, Tyson reacts and dodges his head right into Lewis right cross.
Mike Tyson - June 2002 This is Lennox's biggest con. Tyson, ko'd by British club-fighters Danny Williams and Kevin McBride more decisively than Lennox Lewis who took 8 rounds to literally push an exhausted overweight 235lbs Mike Tyson to the canvas. This is not surprising, just 18 rounds in 6 yrs and was pictured 03/2002 in the National Enquirer smoking marijuana with hippies in Hawaii
@JOE0AMSBURY Not a chance. Lewis is one of the greatest heavyweights of all-time. Tyson had no competition in the 80s. Once he came back in the 90s Tyson had to compete with higher caliber talent. Lewis knocked out Ruddock in 1 round. Tyson considered Ruddock the toughest competitor he had when he was in his prime. Lewis, Holyfield and Bowe were better fighters.
Mais Mike tu fais exprès de perdre, t'es pas crédible tout ça à cause d'une connasse qui t'as accupé de viol et dla coc kamo tak to nejde proste vole nahovno kurwi a drogy ty voe
@NejcFifteen .. I honestly hate it when people say that. I like Tyson, but he lost this fight. He was not invincible. He lost to Buster Douglas, fair.. So stop saying a prime this or a prime that. Tyson wasn't that old. It's his own fault for not being determined enough. All you are proving with those words is that Tyson was a lousy champion, in heart and will.
31.03 - How is Tyson these days? How is his condition?
Recently Tyson has been spotted by the National Enquirer, partying with a hippie crowd in Maui.In the photos Tyson is seen smoking something, what appears to be marijuana, which was passed onto him by a bunch of kids. If this is Tyson’s way of training than, he has got a big problem to face when June 8th comes, when he will fight Lewis.
Mike Tyson - Before we encroach this subject, lets rewind to 1998 and a statement by Emmanuel Steward about the quality of Lennox Lewis's opposition-"Lionel Butler was on drugs, Oliver McCall was in and out of rehabilitation with drug and booze problems and Tommy Morrison went on drinking binges before the fight,"
Mike Tyson admitted he was ALSO a washed up drug addict in 2002!
@JoeCalzagheTheCoward Well to be fair you should make the same analyzis with Tyson. No way they would risk him losing with an NES game in development.
Razor Ruddock - a walking Asthma Attack who had already been ko'd by a bum called David Jaco who retired with a 24-25-1 (18 by KO) record, who had never held any version of a world title and no relevant wins
Frank Bruno - 1993- Famous for stamina problems and a caramel chin (James Smith '84 + Witherspoon '86) washed up Bruno had fought just 4 times (against bums) since a KO to Tyson in '89
Why don't you fuckin idiots shut up about lewis. He whooped Tyson's ass fair and square simply because he was the better boxer. Also, for you other morons who are making excuses for Tyson, Lewis wasn't exactly in his prime either, it was his second to last fight!
Mike Tyson - June 2002- This is Lennox's biggest con. Tyson, destroyed by British club-fighters Danny Williams and Kevin McBride more decisively than Lennox Lewis who took 8 rounds to literally push an exhausted overweight 235lbs Mike Tyson to the canvas. This is not surprising, he'd boxed just 18 rounds in 6 yrs and was pictured 03/2002 in the National Enquirer smoking marijuana with hippies in Hawaii
Hasim Rahman - A fighter who didn't even take up boxing until the age of 20, making his pro debut at 22 in 1994 a guy with no punch resistance, not just been ko'd, but out of the ring in 1999 by Oleg Maskaev. Lennox got ko'd in 5
Hasim Rahman 2 - Lennox won in 4 in a 2001 rematch, so poor was Hasim Rahman that he didn't win another fight until a 2004 U/D "HBO Ballroom Boxing" match with 41yo Al Cole
compare Tyson in his prime...to the Tyson in this video!! I respect lennox but the fact of the matter is that he would have gone down if Mike was truly on form!
@thegrawp. And u Europeans will take any victory just 2 say u won something. No matter how crappy. Tell me that Tyson that day was the same Tyson 5 yrs b4. Lennox is a fake ass champ...I mean chump.
you know how much a bum tyson is when watching the video you know in the comment section below someone will use the word PRIME.tyson is the only boxer i ever hear that has the word prime stuck to his name.
@SpooKiiEE when he came out of jail he was a changed man and had no drive anymore and had to do it for the money, before that it was just him with his drive and anger
TYSON'S LAUGHING!; It's a night on the boos for Lennox.
Sunday Mirror (London, England)
Date: May 12, 1996
The result brings a scathing attack from Jay Larkin, senior vice-president of Showtime TV sport. He alleges Lennox has no genuine intention of facing Tyson.
"Lewis is welcome in a ring with Tyson on July 13 and we will pay him 10 million dollars - the biggest purse of his life.
"Lewis and his people have refused.
LENNOX LEWIS = COWARD-WAITED UNTIL 2002 WHEN TYSON WASHED UP
Both were 36yo. No excuses there. And Tyson could have never beaten Lewis in a thousand fights because of his height and, SPECIALLY, because of his REACH.
Lenox wouldn't stand a chance against most all time heavyweight greats, but TYSON'S STYLE FITS HIS PERFECTLY.
@JoeCalzagheTheCoward That's why Tyson paid Lewis not to fight him twice lol. That's why Ridick Bowe Threw his Title in the bin rather than fight him then all of a sudden the belt consider the real the best suddenly was no longer the best belt. They all avoided Lewis and froze him out until the had no options to fight him as he held the belts. Boxing is far too corrupt. I do agree though that Tyson in his early 20's was a different animal `
I remember seeing this with my junior who was 11 at the time and for weeks leading up to this fight he was banging on a bout tyson saying he would batter lewis and i remember telling him tyson at any stage of his career would have got beaten by lewis . Lewis was a very skilled boxer . and he even won a gold medal at the olympics and beleive me in those days you didn't win gold at the olympics by being a push over i will tell you that
fuckin bitch who has bring him into jail. A friend of mine know her. She was a poor actrice and thought mike can do anything for her career. But Mike only wants a ONS, so she kicked him into jail. Fuckin bitch
Hahahha it's so funny. Laughing at all you Americans pissed of that Tyson got his arse handed to him by a English 'coward'. He chucked more punches how is he the coward?
@FreeMarcoSpirit That was the Tyson after 3 years of jail and 300 Million dollars stolen from him. This man would have been the greatest boxer after Muhammed Ali if he didn't destroy his life the way he did. When I see him go through boxers like an animal ripping them and eating them alive, I can't see how this man would possibly be beaten by any man on the planet.
lewis fought very smart , he kept putting his weight on top of tyson and that takes a lot of power and makes u fatigue a lot. still lennox was more superior than tyon that night
AdlerFr0nT Because Holyfield kept on head butting mike tyson, mike tyson was complainging but no one did anything. He got fed up and after the 4th time he got head butted he bit his ear!
@ryder2929 Yeah Lewis pushed him down. If he 'pushed' you down like that you'd probably be dead. Try and show some respect for Tyson's bravery in this fight you dumb sore loser Yank trollass.
lennox louis will never have the carreer of mike.

Patterson beat Holyfield ? lol.
No solid evidence that Tyson could have beaten Holyfield either. Maybe in his prime,
maybe not.
Dempsey is tiny by today's standard. Frazier only about 205 lbs, near blind in one eye by the end of his career. Where is Larry Holmes ?
Lewis on most days would KO nearly all of this list except Ali, Mr Olympia version of Holyfield, maybe lucky peak Tyson.

4. Muhammad Ali.
Put him down as the GREATEST MAN to ever box, and a hero bigger than boxing. Once Ali lost his speed, it only showed that he'd never developed a great defense.

Lewis: Good but not great
yet to meet another ring legend at the peak of his power - the win against Holyfield came too late in both men's careers.
Lower tier
Five years after he retires, however, his name will fall from boxing's highest order.
Lewis will join a lower tier of very good champions who were never truly great.
JoeCalzagheTheCoward 2 weeks ago
@JoeCalzagheTheCoward
But his name hasn't fallen from Boxing's highest order, has it ?
Ali, Foreman, Turner, Steward and many others rate him as very near
the best ever, Foreman actually said Lewis was the best ever..
Again, a "sponge cake" brained newspaper hack's opinion, of 2001, added up
to less than a row of beans.

@Superwhodatt Q+A: George Foreman
With the June 8 Mike Tyson-Lennox Lewis bout coming up, we grilled HBO boxing announcer George Foreman
By Richard Deitsch
SI: What's your pick for Tyson-Lewis?
Foreman: If Tyson comes in at 222 pounds or under, I give him the edge. I'll take him in a knockout. Three rounds.
SI: In your prime how quickly do you knock out Lewis?
Foreman: Two rounds.
"Muhammad Ali"?? HAHAHA, Emmanuel Steward?, Turner? George "I KO HIM IN 2 ROUNDS" Foreman?

Just look at Rocky Marciano's record. Nobody beat him. You can't take that from him.

Razor Ruddock - a walking Asthma Attack who had already been ko'd by a bum called David Jaco who retired with a 24-25-1 (18 by KO) record, who had never held any version of a world title and no relevant wins

Lewis had limited impact
By The Washington Times Saturday, February 7, 2004
The list of Lewis’ conquests is hardly a Hall of Fame roster: Phil Jackson, Zeljko Mavrovic, Shannon Briggs (who almost knocked Lewis out in the first round), Michael Grant, Frans Botha and David Tua among them.
How Lewis held the title three times is not a Rocky story. He won the vacant WBC belt the first time in May 1993 with a lackluster decision over Tony Tucker

Lennox "The Vulture" Lewis: career breakdown
Here are Lennox Lewis' most difficult opponents:
Tony Tucker - Made his name going 12 with Prime Mike Tyson in 1987. Lennox waited until Tony was 35 years old, fat and addicted to cocaine, and beat him 116-112. Not only that, he looked like shit doing it. This 1993 version of Tucker had 3 years out of boxing. In fact, Tucker was so washed up that Brucde Seldon ko'd him in 7 rounds and Herbie Hide took just 2 rounds to get the job done
JoeCalzagheTheCoward 2 weeks ago
@JoeCalzagheTheCoward
The ring doctor stopped Tucker/Seldon at the conclusion of rd 7 .
Tucker's left eye had closed. Tucker was not KO'd as in dropped and stopped.

Tyson could not put Tucker down. Lewis was larger and more powerful than Tyson.

ill tell ya what,at his peak tyson was have moidered this guy, exactly like he did everybody else, and thats a fact i'd bet on every time.mike was flat worn out here, a shell of his former self, which is fortunate for lennox.lennox is a great great near perfect fighter,i love the guy,but he s not beating up a prime mike tyson, and niether is anybody else,FEROCIOUS!!there is no jab he could not slip inside of,and theres no one ever that could handle his muderous inside game,or his speed.
dempsey981 3 weeks ago
Tyson was a good fighter, he wasn't great. He didn't fight superb fighters in his prime. The first truely great fighter he fought was Holyfield who showed him up. Lewis would have boxed behind the jab and still got the result. Remember Lewis here is older than Tyson. Tyson being compared to Ali by some is a joke. He wouldn't have beaten fighters like Ali, Foreman, Fraizer or Norton even in his prime. His KO ratio against average fighters made people notice him, not his "greatness"
hanginghimself 3 weeks ago
You can see a old tyson would have done twice the bobing and weaving in the same time, i think in his prime he would beat lewis, like i said tyson is slow slow slow compared to what he can do,

Lewis was older than Tyson.
