Thanks so much for your comment!

    Takamine

  • damn, that guitar sounds great.

  • @septip123

    Hi ! thanks a lot!

  • Wow. Excellent rendition! I'm glad you gave it your own little twist and didn't try to reproduce Simon and Garfunkel too precisely.

  • @buddmar

Hi ! I´m very pleased cause of your words. Thanks a lot!

    I can´t answer a comment in a lnguage I don´t know.

  • I see that you love S and G as much as I do. Normally, I don't like to hear "pastiches," you are an exception. It was wonderful to listen to. Thank you again.

"How terribly strange to be seventy..." I was in my early twenties when I first heard those words, now I am almost 60...the words still enthrall me though.

Thankyou for posting, gave me great pleasure. Simon and Garfunkle held a reunion concert at Wembley Stadium in London, sometime in the '80's. I hate crowds but I was there

  • Hello my friend ! Thanks for your kind words.

Yes, I love S&G almost as you do....I´m only 15 years younger than you, and I´m proud to say that I WAS THERE, at the concert in 1982 here in Spain...yes I was !what a great concert....UNFORGETABLE!!!.

THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO LISTEN TO ME!

It´s been an honnor for me.

  • Very beautifully played! Especially the middle part. You captured the wonderful emotion of this great storyteller song. Well done, friend! :) Marina

  • Thanks Marina....one of my favourites P. Simon´s song wich describes the LIFE as it really is...when we get old, we only have our memories as our friends..

  • Muy buena interpretacion amigo,gracias.

    Patrice

  • Gracias Patrice !

  • Yeah, i like it. : ) 5 *****

  • Thanks ETHAN good to know about you again!

  • Tienes razón llamare a Garfunkel. Esto tiene que solucionarlo enseguida. XDDDD.

  • Good Morning Henry! I'm having my morning coffee and noticed you posted a new song; how gorgeous is this! You sound fantastic! I love the interlude in the middle - so lovely. Another masterpiece my friend!

    All the best,

    julie

  • Hi Julie! The lyrics of this song are really what true life is.....we become old man/woman and then we only have our memories beside us...it´s a sad reality. Paul Simon did one of his best works as a songwriter in this one.

    Thanks !

  • very very nice

  • thanks a lot!

  • Wonderful song/singing/playing my friend. Love it... 5* + fav

    Hugs

  • Que tal bro! ya echaba de menos tus comentarios !Sería lo mas grande , que el mismísimo Paul Simon escuchara una de sus canciones interpretadas por mi......!

    Gracias !

  • Very nice -- again! Keep 'em coming!

  • Thanks baard045 !

  • I forgot to ask, what kind of cutaway are you playing?

  • Your a natural! Sweet guitar playing! You make guitar look so easy, so smooth! Keep up the great work! Thanks for sharing!!! Keep em' coming!

  • Thanks ! Just let your fingers move as the music´s on your mind.....feel it, close your eyes and you got it!

  • it's the version a bit of the last tour of them.

    it's great.

  • Well it´s more or less as I remember when I saw them in MADRID in 1982..

  • sounds sweet! like a "nana" for kids!

    =)!

  • No la escuches mucho....no te vayas a quedar dormidazzzzzzZZZZZZZZ!

  • 5 stars nice job

  • HELLO ! Thanks my friend!

  • you`re welcome

  • Beautiful, as always!

I've wondered, your guitar work is always so flawless, do you get these by ear, or are you working with tabs?

  • I´ve leanrt by ear...NO TABS !

    Thanks again !

  • That's what I was guessing, and it's even more meaningful, because it takes a lot of listening and practice to get every detail by ear.

  • Once I tried to learn how to read music, but....It was impossible for me, I was so in a hurry for learning songs that I couldn´t spend my time doin´that..Now I see I WAS WRONG !!

  • Reading music is a very useful skill, Henrique, but it's certainly not the only way. I learned when I was a kid, when I was getting formal music training. It was easier then, because being in a hurry wasn't part of the deal. But then, AFTER that, I learned to play by ear. It's a vital skill that lets you learn music when there ISN'T any sheet music for it. A lot of old songs aren't even written down.

  • And not so old....take a look at "LIAR IN DISGUISE " ( BY RCROSSH ) haha !

Anyway I know that even now I wouldn´t be able to learn though today I´m not in a hurry!

  • Haha! Good example. If it's not written down, reading music doesn't do much good, does it?

I have no doubt that you COULD learn to read music now, but it takes patience and study, and you'd have to WANT to. You don't need to, because you're doing perfectly well without it, so there's not much to motivate you.

  • You got it I have the time but I don´t want to study !!!

  • LOL! I know the feeling. If I didn't already know how, there's no way I'd start now. I'd rather play than study.

  • And so do I!

  • And it isn't all that hard either. Really
