Looks like all things were against the FF's here. Large wood structure, wind (you can hear it) and poor water pressure. They probably did the best they could.
My brother lives in building 12, and to this day swears it was arson. I believe him, too. Even if the fire was in a mulch bed near a gas meter (caused my a cigarette butt?!?!), that shouldn't ignite the gas. Gas is sealed inside pipes that are designed not to be easily combustible. If you ask me, I think the fire chief was paid off to say that it was a cigarette.

my dad was there it was 10 alarms nd it was so hot the radiant heat was melting the side of the other building next 2 it nd it was dangerous of collapsin they set up a collapse zone nd they kept on callin in tankers from middleton they called in 10 of them nd then the water pressure was low so they couldnt spray that far nd the tankers wer filled wit 10,000 gallons of water but the ladder trucks sprayed 1,000 gallons per minute so it made it very difficult 2 fight the fire

It was a cigarette butt, it was new mulch that was sprayed 2 days before that was extremely flammable and caught onto the gas meter. You could see people running around with buckets of water and fire extinguishers putting out the mulch that was burning from all the ash that was falling. I'm sorry for everones loss.
yeah i used to live here like 4 months ago and a ciggerete def didnt cause this i saw people throw butts in there all the time so whatever they have to do to prevent this from happeening again theys hould get on that

and the only way i caan even sit here and write this now is by using my boys computer becuz everything is gone and they only offered to reimburse 750 to help. Wow thanks Highlands you guys are so nice we lost our entire lives and you tell us to spend our $ and youll get around to giving it back. This whole situation makes me sick.
the fucking buildings were made out of nothing and i wouldve never moved there if i knew that. To anyone out there that was a neighbor of mine im so sorry for your losses i know exactly how you feel. And just so everyone knos the police were complete assholes to us me and my ex gf were threatened to be arrested because we just were running around trying to find our dog. I hope that someday those same people have this happen to them and see how they like feeling helples while ur pet is dyin

The place was gone in less than 30 min, sure as hell wasnt a butt that did that. I miss my dog so much and ill never see her again at least they could admit that they scrwd up rathr than save thei ass

they're saying a cigarette flung into a mulch bed caused this fire. i find it disturbing that something as little as a cigarette could torch an entire building as if it were made out of paper.

Wood condos go up way to fast. See an alternate noncombustible construction method I found, Advanced steel structures.
