@racquetballtim your camera is fine. other people need to invest in glasses or a better computer 'cause i saw the rally just fine with every shot justified. nice upload!
@Fernandez218 Thanks, I appreciate it. I just wish I would have muted the slow-mo, lol. I was still learning how to use the video editor back then. *shrug*
@valentin180 no it doesn't and i don't care what you invest in. you most likely don't play racquetball anyways. hopefully tournaments never have someone like you as a referee.
Actually, that was a wide-angle pass, if you want to be specific. And he definitely got to it. I think it might look like 2 bounces because the ball hit the back wall.
I have the original video, which is better quality, and he clearly got it. He's a quick little dude. lol
This is some good racquetball, and the winning shot was clearly anticipated (a lot), something you have said should not be done. i think that you cannot always wait for it see where it goes, and sometimes people instinctly anticipate and that is not a bad thing.
You're right, in this rally my opponent guessed which shot I was hitting and I hit it right to him. I have other videos of this same situation where he guesses wrong and I hit a winner down the line.
If you watch my "racquetball - don't guess" video you'll see another example. I'm really more concerned about guessing when you're in center court, good position, which I see all too often.
If guessing is your thing then by all means continue what works for you. I just don't recommend it.
It's about time somebody mentioned that. LOL. I definitely did stop when I hit that pinch at the end.
You have to understand that when I'm playing against my students I'm only going about 70 to 80%. It's a bit contradictory to my "never give up" instruction that I'm emphasizing, but it's for a purpose.
The young man in the video is playing at such a high level right now that I have to put a lot more effort in than I used to. No more stopping after pinch shots. :-)
after the excellent wide-angle pass the BALL BOUNCES TWICE
obviously before he hits the ball, that was a lost rally for the child

@valentin180 I have the original video, as I've already explained, and the ball hits the back glass, not the floor.
I need to invest in an HD camera. *sigh*

Thanks again for the comment.

The instructor gave up when he thought he hit the "winning" shot.
