Yeah I also was like WTF. I didn´t like that it ended that way but my brother said that it´s good because it wasn´t unpredictable and Dexter´s son might become like him and the same thing happened to Dexter when he was young. There will be a season 5 but in like several months. Maybe next fall or so. That´s what I heard.
