Farming isn't poaching. And poaching is illegal hunting so it's not possible to make poaching legal. Farming animals is what helped saved American alligators, no need to hunt them if people raise them in better condition than wild. It was farmed bison and African antelope(Ibex I think) that were released in re-population programs.

farming animals in order to destroy them is never helpful. breeding programs that solely release animals into the wild are different (note: they did this for bison, the north american wolf, and are currently doing it for the black-footed ferret).

the definition of poaching IS illegal hunting, but personally, i define it as the slaughter of wild endangered animals. fuck rexano for supporting the slaughter of animals they say they protect.

Wonder how long those domestic bunnies will be "away from pain and fear" roaming loose amongst predators (coyotes, dogs, cats, birds, etc) ? By law, your rats are owned by you, for liability sake. What is the difference between you owning animals and other people owning animals?

Captive lions have no real desire to hunt. Hunting is still an instinct, and their play is all based on hunting and fighting skills. But as far as actual food goes, they would much rather have already dead food. There is no work involved in 'catching' a dead animal. Just start eating, the enjoyable part. If you have ever watched a cat eat a whole animal, it brings them intense pleasure, even if the animal is cold and dead. Most cats, and lions especially will also readily eat carrion.

i feed a natural diet. that doesnt mean i think processed food is abuse, as you seem to. many people give their animals processed food - while i don't do that, i still would support vegan processed foods as substitution, as long as they were nutritionally complete and a perfect match for that animal.

abuse is causing an animal suffering, pain, fear, neglect, or giving the wrong diet or housing. if processed foods are complete, they arent abuse.

As owner of our animals, its our duty to provide them with proper diets, and feeding processed junk just doesnt cut it. Promoting vegan diets for carnivores is especially negligent.

because no one else in my family is vegan, my dog&cat get cut up chicken, brown rice, cooked vegetables, and a number of supplemental foods.

i don't believe that organic processed foods are harmful, as i have fed my animals that before and found it to be perfectly satisfactory.

i wouldnt feed a vegan diet to my animals unless i was 100% positive that it was nutritionally complete and healthy, which is why i dont feed it now. it's getting there.

Maybe sometimes we expect others to know what we've learned and view it at least close to the same way. Captive breeding is a big part of their survival even though many groups claim saving their environment is the only way. The environment is still declining and I'd rather live with than without. They are still declinng in numbers and I personally saw nothing but animals keeping from going extinct- that's the most likely way they'll do even if they don't have the tunes for background sound.

It obviously brought attention to something you would have never paid attention to. They have many heartfelt videos, many spoof sarcastic videos and cover more than one type animal. There's also reptile haven, primate haven and big cat haven on You Tube. PETA uses MUCH more 'explicit' means to get their word out. REXANO sure isn't into killing puppies and dumping their bodies in dumpsters behind stores. But PETA gets the media attention and people unknowingly donate to THAT.
