I like Ron Paul except for his apparent (from the little info i have heard about him) belief in the totally free market. That is the very foundation of the money masters unjust control (aka corporate slavery). I see such vicious predatory capitalism as the root of the whole problem in this system of institutionalized narcissism that is breeding psychopathic tendencies in the human species. Anyone care to provide a link for a clear description of ron paul's beliefs in relation to this? Thanks.
@KurtG85 ....The problem is with intelligent people like you who are duped into thinking we actually have capitalism. You should start there and you will eventually figure it out.
Real freedom is actually WAY beyond Ron Paul but he is a great ambassador for the newbies to understand the basic concepts.
@RP4409 Teach then, brother. Where or what is the best point of reference (documentary/website/whatever) to begin to discover this idyllic form of capitalism you believe in which meets the basic needs of the people?
I don't claim to be well educated on economic systems. All I know is that the current system, where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer to the point of death from starvation and lack of health care is unjust and that unrestricted competition wont solve these problems.
@KurtG85 ....When did I ever claim there was an idyllic form of capitalism?
I just stated that people perceive we have "capitalism" but we don't, its called corporatism in which corporations, unions, fill in the black, use collectivism and government to [restrict] competition.
For instance, when you have government (collectivists using force) stealing from you (taxes) and handing it over (subsidizing) (bribing) to farmers to grow corn then the free market does not exist.
@RP4409 You didn't claim there was an idyllic form of capitalism. However, I took your statement: "The problem is with intelligent people like you who are duped into thinking we actually have capitalism.".. to be suggesting that our system needs modification to be true capitalism. I was trying to get you to clarify your views through some website or even through your own words of what those modifications need to be in order to reach, in MY words, a more 'idyllic' form of capitalism.
@RP4409 If I am still misunderstanding you, please clarify for me how your statement "The problem is with intelligent people like you who are duped into thinking we actually have capitalism." relates to my original statement. Specifically: how would my understanding that the system we actually have is not capitalism be conducive to fixing any of the current problems of institutionalized narcissism and a predatory money system (whatever you want to call it) which only provides for the rich?
@KurtG85 ....Research the difference between Capitalism and Corporatism. If you think that America is capitalism them you do not have the basic understanding and concepts to rationalize a free market and its principles. Google Ron Paul and free markets or something...that's all I can tell you.... I can't do the work for you. Hint: governmental force and collectivism is the problem and always has been.
Thats-cute, Yeah... but in real-life..... the Gov, the IRS, the HOA the O-STALKERS H
Organizations Stalkers Electronics Haressments and Home Owner Associations and the Russians and the Israelies and the Italians and who is notttttttttttttttttt--NO-ONE-LIKE-CEILING-CAT!--watching you-you-you-you-you-you-you-you-you-you.
So, how you think-Pelosi and Italy stol-you-blind.
so get it...?...CAT Ceiling is everybody that watching you.
this cracks me up. about 50% of this country's electricity come from coal so if every one goes electric they will have to burn more coal. first we need to utilize a cleaner form of energy then this might be worse the effort
Dont get the Swine Flu shot, whatever you do, It has 3 times the amount of Mercury then that of the regular flu shot and we all know what that does to your brain...Correct?! Everyone needs to find out the truth! Get off the damn Grid and stop paying these people to enslave us!
If anyone watching or reading this has not seen "Death of the Electric Car" then just google video the movie and watch it. It will allmost make you cry and sure as hell will make you mad. It shows that both left and right do not want you to have an electric car!
Remove the tax burden and GTFO ouf the way with government policy.
The next "EVIL GREEDY" company that finds a real battery application that WORKS will be the next trillionaries and solve the problem and everyone will be happy.
well, except the liberals, they hate people that would actually be financially rewarded from hard work and inventiveness, and penalize them so much it removes all incentive to succeed.
ohhhh I get it. It's about political parties and not the government not letting people do what they want.....lol get out of the left/ right paradigm and you will understand.
The right is NO different than the left and they shoud just leave We the People alone!
Hahah. Right on 4409. Its a hard fought battle getting people to realize that reality isn't black and white, left and right. Fortunately there is a growing number of folks starting to wake up to the many grays. We fight among our selves , "they" go about their business, this is by design. Get it?
Watch "Death of the Electric Car". It is free on google video. The technology has been around for over 20 years and you will see California "liberals" causing all electric cars to be crushed. You will then see how "conservatives" help make it happen. Happy day.
over 20 years? The very first cars were electric, when gasoline motors came around people looked at them like "You're going to sit ontop of a controlled explosion? That's crazy! But... the gas motors caught on and once the oil companies were sufficiently bloated in size they controlled the market.
Takes a huge chunk of change to enter the car market on a mass production scale... so you bet it isn't going to happen if the big boys don't allow it.
Unfortunately, this guy has his numbers wrong until he does set up an alternative electric generating system close to the recharge point. Lots of energy is lost over electric transmission lines either through heat or radio waves. The best place to generate power is at it's point of use. If I had a couple of million for RnD on my idea, every house and car would have its own power generator. The technology exhists, but the gov won't even let me pattent it so I can present it.
Robert697 why do you think the high voltage exists, and power factor is calculated?
The low power factor causes the electric company to generate more electricity per watts used, thats why companies need to correct power factor through control of capacitance and inductance; if they use too much total power (from low PF) they are usually socked with a huge penalty for the month.
You're babbling and making stuff up. PF=cosine angle theta.
This guy should look into solar panels on the roof. If your car sits at work for eight hours, you could get most of your charge back by 5pm. After all it is the range of these vehicles that cause them to be overlooked.
Organjic - where do you get your figures and where do you anticipate these jobs to be... surely not in the US? I am not holding my breath, that's for sure.
If we want the technology, someone needs to repair it. Oh and thats just a guess. The point Im getting at is that there will be gas, fuel cell, air powered, and alt fuel vehicles. A diversity in engines will mean diversity in experts.
I like the idea, but it's not exactly off the grid, if it is powered by electrity.
Unless the power used is generated from a non-polluting source, not coal or what have you, it's just transfering pollution from the tailpipe to the power plant. What's the point?
The only viable solution is nuclear power, if we had that as the source of electricity, electric cars like this would make sense, in my opinion.
He should make a rear spoiler with wind generating motors to feed the batteries. :)
$1.37 for 22 miles, that would probably be $4.00 if it was still gas. 60 miles is pretty short range with a 6hr charge for the next 60 and that's probably not in cold weather. I think the plug in highbred is the future but this would be a great second car
He encourages free market solutions. Democrats hate free market solutions but love government mandates. They only believe government can solve problems not individuals. Isn't that an irony?
Democrats do not ONLY believe government can solve problems, they just overly emphasize the governments role. But I think its clear with all the global warming information they promote, they are encouraging people to react and adapt to the threat of "global destruction."
True story: My mother told me back in the 70's they use to talk about the coming ice age...I guess they could not find a good way to tax you with that one!
I'm sure you love to make that point, I'm sure you think you sound like a truth teller, but that has nothing to do with my point. Which is simply that Democrats also encourage alternative fuel solutions.
Secondly, I dont think you understand what is meant when someone uses quotes.
I'm not talking about democrats or republicans because they are a bunch of pathetic morons running amuck in Washington.
I talk about Ron Paul and If you don't know by now the (R) is just for show. He is truly an independent sovereign thinker. The labels are for the people that deserve them!
The key is to stay away from government solutions, because they stifle free market solutions. Everyone wants clean air to breath and to be mobile too. Look how much money the Prius has made. Google 'phoenix motor cars'. It's already been solved by the market. The question is will the government put them out of business in order for it to be in control?
1. The government can influence a free market as it too is a consumer, maybe the biggest one at that. Imagine all government vehicles running on alternative fuel.
2. I made a simple point that was clearly true. I didnt disagree with the benefits offered by a free market.
@RP4409 Ron Paul rhetoric is so old. The world is getting smaller in sense of milieu. He's advocating gold standard and savings. What is he? The founding father?
You mean Democrats that support retroactive immunity for Telecoms that illegally wire tap us? Or Democrats that still support our war in Iraq based on lies? Or those Democrats that are currently trying to pass an armed shipping embargo on Iran based on lies? Wakeup we have a one party system in the U.S. It needs to fixed.
I love how dumbasses like you jump into a conversation and claim to be "waking everyone up" without even understanding the topic at hand. Do you seriously think a person who copies and pastes a message whenever "Democrat" is used is capable of serious enlightenment, on any subject?
You will probably respond with more of the same, your tone will probably become more self-righteous, still ignoring what was going on here, and how your statement was completely unrelated.
Are you responding to me? Do you not realize by my comment that we do indeed have a one party system? Could you reply to my comment or you all bluster?
Comments below? tl;dr
Point: this is a good idea. Get off the grid or gtfo. Kthxbai.
