  • everyone serch me! im eagleclaw177! it has my dog in it. you would love it! comment please!

  • Mice from around the planet are singing for many centuries without Japanese Scientists. So this is not Japanese invention is God creation, God created all living creatures with nice voice such as fish birds, insects, mice, whales, even human can sing.

  • @kingvoyager What.

  • I got here from cracked, anyone else?

  • I have no comment... Except "D'AWWWWWWW!!!!!" Science is a wonderful thing...

  • Kudos to these scientists. And to all the people that are trying to halt scientific progress - go back to church and stay there.

  • sounds like a dolphin (the first one)

  • This is just shit.

  • That poor mouse.

  • Uuuuuhhh, I've had pets that sounded like that before. Not that constant or scared sounding, but when they did squeak, it sounded like that. That's just how "rodents" sound.

  • Meanwhile, in Japan...

  • Flipper?

  • japan is weird

  • Ummm.... I had a pet mouse and already knew this. Do I get an award? *sarcasm*

  • and now...a croaking pigeon!

  • There are already 100 of this mouses. And they maybe could be successors of the whole class.

  • They just made it's squeaks shorter in turn making it sound like it's chirping.

  • WHAT HAVE YOU DONE YOU FOOLS

  • @CandyRain1991 ikr lol

  • soo cute

  • i wounder how much it cost to make a "squeeking rat" - eather loads and loads ... or they just found a mouse and a rat and made them have funky time.

  • Scientist are always f-ing with things they shouldn't.

  • @MsKittenz1 Yeah, look where their obsession messing with electricity and technology got us? Ooops.

  • Translation: "Stop messing with my genes!"

  • way friggen better than justin bieber!!!

  • this mice is singing "El jarabe Tapatio" , parece que esta cantando el jarabe tapatio al 00:13

  • The SGU Brought me here :D

  • What is the fucking point of producing singing mice?

  • @MartinTjen It wasn't intentional - they altered the DNA so that it would produce mistakes more easily (i.e. evolve faster, in a more varied way), and these mice were one of the results! Completely bizzarre and unexpected, but a useful find nonetheless.

  • Alex Jones sent me here!

  • @ghijsch Unfortunately, it's cool to be a complete moron.

  • I think they just cut off its nuts and called it "genetic engineering".

  • yeah, my mouse does that to, and it's not genetically modified

  • Sorry Japan, but America beat you on this one. They already engineered singing mice and filmed it in a movie called "Babe the Pig".

  • @zeppelin8 Alvin and the chipmunks ;P

  • The creepiest part of this is that one of my rats makes noise like this mouse does...

  • is just a RAT! AND HE IS HUNGRY,

  • It would be interesting to make rats able to handle more complexe communications, along with greater intelligence.

  • All mice sing when they are trying to impress a lady. These have been bred to sing all the time. I'd love to have a couple.

  • Sounds more like a monkey than a bird!

  • Bought that one of e-bay had the same problem...

  • thumbs up if u read out of current science in school

  • this is just too cute!!!! XD

  • i want one how much are they ill pay 300$ for two male and female

  • @shawnscootzz why the hell do u want 2 male's?

  • @GamerJessy i meant two of them one male one female and sadly i cant buy one

  • Fancy that... it already sounds better than Justin Beiber!

  • I don't get why this is so interesting. I've had mice for the past five years and all of them made this noise. There were days I'd wake up and think there were birds outside, but it was just my two mice screaming at each other in the middle of the night.

  • @Alyzuh This is of scientific interest because the "chirping" was created at the level of DNA; it wasn't explained at all in the video but scientists manipulated the DNA so mutations would be created more often... this is one of the many results from the ongoing experiments.

  • Hope the mice survived.

  • @TheIloveGraffiti

Granted, I don't KNOW 1st hand, as I did not witness the act, but if they harvested DNA like they would any other organism, its pretty much a given that there was no undue stress or burden on the organism. Have you ever died from having blood drawn? or a saliva swab? did you die, or suffer hospitalization when you got a flu shot? its akin to those processes

  • @TheIloveGraffiti they altered the DNA. no matter how you look at it, DNA altering at this level only works when the mice are of a few cells big. meaning, there's no way the mice felt pain. If you're going be a douche about your ideals, at least research a bit

  • @TheIloveGraffiti What the fuck you're thumb-begging for what you think is animal cruelty?

What the fuck is wrong with you?

  • Somewhere, Mickey weeps for the new mouse that will usurp his reign as Mouse King.

  • @TheIloveGraffiti thumbs down because its not

  • @TheSleepChamber animal cruelty is taking a living creature and subjecting to and activity that would strain or traumatize the organism either emotionally or physically. What the scientists have done is alter their DNA to me more prone to mutation(i really doubt the mice feel the altering of their DNA. Plus, the DNA changes don't go in effect until they are activated in the offspring, when they start to copy and build a new temporal being) Super gluing eye lids, and cutting of limbs is cruelty.

  • Great, a new way to make pet mice more annoying.

  • DOLPHIN NOISE !

  • @romoines the first one sounds a LOT like a dolphin. The second one sounds like a loud mouse.

  • That mouse had some coke.

  • Comment removed

  • MALÍSIMO!!!

  • just makes them all the more tasty to cats

  • JAPAAAAAANNNN!!!

  • this is a mouse making mouse sounds . . . thanks cracked

  • @RoughitforGreen247 Mice don't make sounds like this. I think you glued a pigeon to a rat again, buddy.

  • @StewieGriffin44 granted its a bit deeper and less squeaky, but it sounds like mice. No bird i've ever heard

  • He's so cute! They should breed these little guys and sell them as pets, I'd buy one...I would name him Cheeper and we would solve mysteries and get mad biddies and smoke doobies all day long...what was I on about?

  • @GrandLine1997 There's no guarantee that its offsprings will also tweet like a bird, because the scientists have genetically modified the rats to be prone to mutations.

  • @GrandLine1997 hahahaha comment of the year!

  • Cracked sent me here!

  • Sounds exactly like Dren in Splice. Creepy.

  • oh, i can translate what its saying. HELP ME OUT OF THIS F**KING CAGE!

  • @krrisstiina lol that made me laugh!!

  • WANT

  • Just sounds like a higher-pitched squeaking mouse......

  • I want one that sings like a Mogwai...

  • That sounded exactly like a squeaking mouse to me. *shrugs*

  • CRACKED!

  • My rat does that.

  • Thank you, cracked.com <3

  • god damn it japan. just... god damn it.

  • @rcon1012 Couldn't have said it better myself... I am terrified of Japan and it's bat-shit insane populace!!!

  • @Lurkerwraith I guess we know the effect of using a nuclear weapon on people... makes them a lil cwaaazeeee....@.@

  • One day the voice of James Earl Jones is gonna come out of one of these little fuckers.

  • @tinaUNDAcova lmfao

I actually laughed out loud picturing that

  • sounds like a mouse to me?

i wanted a screaming eagle man...

  • I WANT ONE! XD

  • Cracked.com you have not let me down yet. i want one of those mice

  • and this was the beginning of the end...

  • I think that is the most awesome mouse that has ever existed and ever will exist.

  • oh, science...

  • Nice to see that science grant money isn't being wasted. :-p

  • Cracked.com

    EPIC :DDD

  • An hour later, after the mouse reached it's genetically engineered expiration date, it melted into a glob of fleshy mess...

  • Sounds like a guinea pig.

  • @Brxa Yeah I thought the exact thing. It doesn't chirp like a bird. Congratulations you made a rodent sound like a different rodent.

  • @EdHaigh it sounds like a seagull, which was a bird last time i checked.

  • @CaimSe You are an idiot.

  • Best mouse.

  • THAT IS THE NOISE MICE USUALLY MAKE BESIDES SQUEAKING! The scientists succeeded in making it louder...

  • @DKFan4Life

Presumably they also made it lower? Most of the time Mice are in the ultrasonic band.

  • hmm i wonder if thats real or just dubbed video...

  • I want one of those. Crimes against nature make the best pets.

  • I really don't know how to feel about this..

  • WHAT HAS SCIENCE DONE?

  • I thought that's what mice were suppose to sound like...

  • abominations are cuuuuuute. :D

  • Oh scientists, you're so cute when you try to play god.

  • Kind of sounds like a pissed off parakeet...

  • I effing love science...

  • AWWWWW

  • At least I don't have to make a pokemon joke.

  • I love the little critter, it's so cute, I just want to pet it...

  • HOLY SMOKES, a mouse that sounds like a gerbil!

  • There's too many people on this planet that is true, but controlling birthrates or even testing people's genetic health before allowing them to breed would be the way to go, not fucking slaughtering them,

  • I believe it's saying "kill me, please, please kill me."

  • Sounds like a Dolphin...

  • @Wolfdorf I thought so too. More so than a bird.

  • Goddamn it Japan! Stop now before we have a godzilla on our hands...

  • Bird mice, because why the hell not?

  • Sounds more like a dolphin

  • it still sounds somewhat normal to me. like an average mouse, but noisier.

  • I love you cracked.com and the amazing stuff you show me.

  • Step #2, make it grow to 100 feet in length and taste like a whale.

  • Dude, this is SO awesome...

  • @SurvivorGuy23 why? there are too many humans on earth as it is. Id rather have science find diseases that target undesirable populations rather than cure diseases.

  • @jesskazen I love how folks like you jump the gun and decide that a certain group is undesirable. Why don't you do everyone a favor, take all the nihilist and fatalists with and drink some delicious cyanide laced kool-aid.

  • Comment removed

  • @jesskazen That's sounds similar to nazi german ideas of exterminating certains populations. Well if you are serious, why don't you be one of the first to kill yourself to benefit this planet.

  • @jesskazen

Well if the government were willing to do that, then why not just bomb the places to shreds?

  • @jesskazen Nazi.

  • @jesskazen A wild Hitler has been spotted!

    Will you shoot it?

    Yes< No

  • co za asy..

  • The Japanese may just be dicking around at this point, but at least they're dicking around WITH SCIENCE!

  • fake and gay

  • @ddandevil67 actually its not lol but ok

  • @sk8nboomer900 well that's cool... BUT DID U SEE THE GUY WITH THE GOLDEN VOICE??

  • @ddandevil67 Enough of your RWJ nonsense.

  • @ddandevil67 i fucking hate you and RWJ

  • @SurvivorGuy23 lol you think scientists aren't trying to do that

  • Comment removed

  • I want one.

  • CUUUTEEEEE <3

  • you see those little packets? yeah, thats crack.

  • All mice vocalize a lot and male mice sing, but with normal mice this sound is so high pitched that the human ear cannot hear it. What I suspect is happening with this mouse is that it has an abnormally deep voice, well within the range of human hearing. So human ears can hear its mouse vocalizations. The question is do normal mice vocalize this much? I wonder if anyone has tried to figure out mouse language yet, they are much more intelligent than most people think................

  • @CreekValleyCritters well, i don't know about mice, but i used to hear my hamster squeak sometimes and it wasn't as often as that. during his time out of the cage, maybe one or two squeaks in one hour. he squeaked when he found food sometimes, or just when sitting and cleaning himself. it was very faint, and i was 16 at the time, now i'm 20, so i don't know if i could hear it now... (i don't have my hamster anymore, and it's a known thing that high-frequency hearing degrades quickly)

  • SING, MOUSEY, SING!

  • So what if humans are playing with nature, are we supposed to sit, do nothing and die in ignorance??

  • @SurvivorGuy23

    Step 1; Plan Cure

    Step 2; Make Singing Mouse

    Step 3; ????

Step 4; wait, what was step 2 again?

  • Well... At least its not Justin bieber.

  • They that this will help find a cure for cancer. How is that gonna help find a cure for cancer? I think just did that because they could. What is the money for cancer research really going to?

  • @macjsus Not every scientist on Earth directly studies cancer. But they still contribute more to scientific advance than you do.

  • @Stananzaman I meant this specific study, when I heard on the news they said this will help with finding a cure for cancer, I am trying to understand how.

  • @macjsus Okay, fair enough. Sorry. The report I read didn't say that this would cure cancer. They proposed that the mice could be used to learn about the genetic basis/evolution of language. The researches study DNA replication and mutation. According to the report they said that the mice were made by accident as part of a study called the "evolved mouse project" in which they crossed mice that were prone to mutation. They haven't published their resuts yet so I can't find out anything else

  • other mice must wonder how it has such a funny accent.

  • Will it blend?

  • Nice O.O, Make now a Talking Rat!

  • @Tesorazorz Well the last two words ("you idiot."), just proves that it's even worthless to begin discussion with you. ;)

  • It sounds like they have managed to move the mouse language into the audible range of humans. Anyone who has listened to mice "talk" by shifting their ultrasonic based language into the human audible range will recognise this.

  • Where can i buy one of this mouse?

  • I want one :/

  • Whats BIO about a tweeting mouse?

  • i heard about this on the radiio and the mouse is almost saying things like human speech

  • Cute - but Sungmee45 and chubbyxDD are right - humanity is playing with many things that we have no conception of, particularly what the ultimate outcomes, "knock-on" and "ripple" effects, or other unintended consequences will be. Quem deus vult perdere, dementat prius" - Whom the Gods would destroy, they first make mad." Humanity's overwhelming hubris is akin to madness.

  • Can you imagine being in a room with dozens of those things 8 hours a day? I'd go nuts.

  • human playing to be God...

  • @chubbyxDD We're god. God is the future. Science is god.

  • @chubbyxDD

and god played to be human.

  • It is wrong and sick, to do that to a mouse. Japan is been sick for long time, so does many american scientist and researchers. This is pure sick!....

  • @sungmee45 You're a dumbass...
