  • better and sexier with age!!! No doubt about it!

  • go the fuck off bobby that note at the end priceless

  • Thanks for sharing with the music community :))

  • @35diamondgirl ... The Righteous Brothers ... they just stood out, they bought food for us

kids trying to act cool ... and I told Bobby when I got older - "you dudes were wearing sunglasses at night - and looked so cool.... singing in the moonlight." He just

    laughed and smiled.

standing in the parking lot at John's Drive-In ... singing to the crowd .... I believe this might

be where they hooked up with the Blossoms .. because they started to sing with Bobby and

    Bill. Great memories !!!

  • @juvenilehall1979 Thanks for sharing that story...totally jealous. I've seen the Shindig clips of the Blossoms singing with The Righteous Bros., and they're terrific. Darlene Love was in the Blossoms, right?

  • @35diamondgirl .. Hello .. Yes, Darlene Love was one of the Blossoms. It was a great time to be a teenager with Shindig and Where The Action Is.

The Righteous Brothers were the right duo at just the right time - with the BEST

songs. The secret to their success was: They were both great singers - as a duo

or solo, their "live" performances were just as good if not better than the studio

records. They were always gentlemen and no fan ever left without a signed photo.

    God Bless 'em

  • @juvenilehall1979 Yes, I've heard/read that from many people, which is probably why their fan base has been so loyal for so long--because their live performances were special and they themselves were/are special and approachable. I'm sorry I never had the pleasure of seeing them perform together, but I'm looking forward to seeing Bill in a few weeks.

  • @35diamondgirl ... Bill Medley puts on a GREAT show. You'll enjoy every moment.

In Branson, MO. he did a video/slide show of Bobby - not a dry eye in the house.

Bill lost his voice in the early 70's - but his voice coach helped him get it back. Bobby,

told me, "people want to hear me hit the high notes - and the later in the day the

better." One night they did two shows, in between - I sneak back stage and play

catch with Bobby - it kept him loose as he sipped lemon juice.

  • @35diamondgirl ... I am so glad this performance at the Rock & Roll HOF

was so good. When Bill hugged Bobby at 3:03 (seen better on the big screen)

Bobby got a big smile on his face. They had performed this song so many times -

and before everyone - they nailed it. I am so thankful to YOUTUBE for

keeping this video up for all to see. I have noted that many people much

younger than eye - truly appreciate GREAT SINGERS. They'll never be a

    duo such as these two.

  • 35diamondgirl shares the same feelings I have about The Righteous Brothers - their

acceptance speeches were so genuine. Bill and Bobby, ever so grateful, thanking

everyone involved - leaving no one out. When Bobby thanked "Paul Shaffer, his band

and those background singers ".. and then added "mercy" - I thought what a class

act. In January, 1962, in my hometown of San Jose, CA they sang at John's Drive-In for the March of Dimes Marathon and were simply fabulous .. 50 years ago !

  • @juvenilehall1979 Bill thanking the Hall of Fame was incredibly gracious too, I thought, considering they'd been disappointed and even angry about the politics and being passed over for so many years. I would've loved to have seen them as early as '62...alas, I was only a year old and lived clear across the country. I remember Shindig though.

  • I remember Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil doing an interview - and they never

imagined how popular their song would end up being. The Righteous Brothers

went in and made this song a monster hit. I am so glad that they choose

this song at their long overdue 2003 Hall of Fame induction. Catch Bill and

Bobby on Shindig sing it live - GREAT. Bill's voice, just perfect and Bobby, he

hit notes so high, with such ease it made everyone think - nobody, but nobody

could sing like that. Both just 24.

  • @juvenilehall1979 Yes, I've watched "Lovin' Feeling" from Shindig many times. Besides having such powerful and dynamic vocals, they are, visually, very charismatic performers. All the Shindig clips are just plain fun to watch.

  • I am 62-years old - I have heard this song, thousands of times ... thank you to Barry Mann

and Cynthia Weil for writing this great song for Bobby and Bill. Yes, I agree with 35diamondgirl - they just nailed this song. Past all the politics and waiting to get into the Hall of Fame, they were fabulous - and gracious. The acceptance speeches - very touching.

Bobby Hatfield the Good Lord made only one of him - and he was so special and such a

gentleman to us all - as Bill still is. AWESOME ..

  • @juvenilehall1979 Lovely acceptance speeches that made me proud to be a fan, and the whole Hall of Fame experience for them somehow validated the choices I'd made as a very young child, jumping around to their music while watching Shindig. I'm looking foward to seeing Bill's show in a few weeks.

  • The power in there voices always gave me chills!

  • It used to piss me off that the Righteous Bros. had to wait so long to get into the Hall of Fame, but I love that this is the last live performance of Bobby's that most people will remember, because it was for his and Bill's induction and they just nailed it. And what a nice moment between them at 3:03 (you can see it better up on the video screen behind them).

  • only 18 there is hope for us old hippies the dream lives on

  • @moscowguitarman

Bobby passed away in about 2008 or 9.... sadly.

  • @stingosdungeon It was was November 5, 2003. Indeed it is sad.

  • @amthomas0412

  • That IS somethin.....

  • Wow is all I can say..... Epic...

  • You 2 are epic... Looking good too!

  • OMG at 2:03ish....... Bad ass........

  • Freckin awesome!!!

  • Bobby and Bill have more soul in their fingernail clippings than most current singers have in their whole family, and what's amazing is that they have even more feeling now than they did in 1965. Bill, especially, has ripened and deepened wonderfully. Check out his CD from a couple of years ago--it will send chills down your spine, especially his tribute to Bobby, who has gone to his richly deserved reward. Interesting how it takes 30 people to recreate what Phil Spector did with seven.

  • I wonder if that "son" he is referring to is either Tom Shaller or Lee Shaller, the one who works for that pharmaceutical company in the midwest! Rest in Peace Wela!!!

  • I wonder if that "son" he is referring to is either Tom Shaller or Lee Shaller, the one who works for that pharmaceutical company in the midwest!

  • 8 mos later Hatfield OD's on snow in at the Kalamazoo Radisson...

  • Man, that Bill Medley can still sing the hell out of a song!!!! What a voice. I am surprised he didn't have three times the hit songs he did with a voice like that!!!!!

  • still awesome after all this time

  • its great that no one dislike..

  • Superb.

  • What a combination of two fantastic voices! By November after this Concert, Bobby sadly died from a cocaine overdose. Their songs are always going to be classics. Their voices were so soulful that many didn't know that they were a White duo until they saw photos. Many thought the same about Michael Bolton and some female artists.

  • @HandwhistlerBen That's the real danger with cocaine and other drugs not controlled by strict regulations. One batch might be more potent then usual and BAM! You're dead. There are many ways cocaine takes a toll as well. Such as hardening of the arteries and liver, kidney damage. It rots your bod from the inside out. One of the Gibbs brothers was using and he died young, not of overdose just poor health.

Sad, I greatly miss Bobby Hatfield, there is no other like him.

  • @donteverlietome How one sided of me. How could I not mention Bill Medley. Without his unique bass voice the righteous brothers would likely never have come into existence.

He too is one of a kind.

  • beam me up, I have a ticket to the rock and roll heaven concert....man this is music, not sure what they call it today, noise maybe....

  • RIGHTEOUS BROTHER,,,RIGHTEOUS!!!

recordings of the Righteous Brothers of this time. Why?
