  • LOL. All mss, TR included, say 'worship in/by agency of The Spirit of God'. Some mss put 'God' in the dative, some in genitive; dative acts as a preposition (which KJV & others rightly translate as in/by).

    Since latreuw (if a finite verb) takes dative as the object anyway, its prepositional use is a double-entendre, ties to John 4:23-24.

    It's elegant Greek to position a word so you don't have to repeat it. Here, that elegance doubles as a reaffirmation that the Spirit IS God.

    KJVO are dumb!

  • Yet, there are KJV Onlyists making this claim. Granted, it is not the brighter among them, but they are there. For example, Gail Riplinger makes this claim in "New Age Bible Versions" - proving once more she is completely clueless.
