Blowdryers for hands are unhygienic to begin with. There's no mechanical scrubbing involved, so any bacteria that the soap's loosened from your hands is just gonna sit there, bathing in the warm air and multiplying. Paper towels or other towels are much better, hygiene-wise.
Everyone who is saying "This is unhygenic, people can touch the blades" well can you shut up? You are just trying to find downsides in any dyson product. This is ergonomic so there is no reason why you would touch the blade.
Impressive demo, really does show up the conventional model. one question on it. does it contain any specific material on the surface to keep long term cleanliness? while its designed to be a no contact item, it will be touched, its practically unavoidable, and while it may keep the air it uses clean, can it keep the area of touch clean.
Someone with alergie will. Since a change my vacuum cleaner for a Dyson my girlfriends dont sneeze when she get to pass the vacuum cleaner, but i still empty the bin for her ... the filter is doing a great job
I have used a product in Spain which was not a Dyson airblade but was similar looking, may have been the Mitsubishi, I have to say this product was just as good as the Dyson and dried my hands just as quick.
I have used the Dyson airblade its ok but as I said this other product was just as good.
What if your hands are too big to fit in the dryer...?

I still have to push a button. Not even the least bit interested in putting more bacteria on my hands...

@OpticalShadow It actually does have an antibacterial coating on the device :) You can read about it on the Dyson website.

I'm just positive restroom owners will be paying for the new filters all the time!
The AirBlade is cool but its too loud, it scares my 3 year old.

I love Dyson Products. I want to open a vacuum store that specializes in Dyson vacuum cleaners. Good Bye Carbon brushes!

I understand all that with HEPA but to be honest that doesn't bother me and the majority of people I know. I just want my hands dry.
My vacuum cleaner does not have HEPA filter, I have not got seriously ill from not having this particular filter.

Once you realise how much grossness is in a bathroom air, you would probably prefer a HEPA filter.
As I say, if you preferred it then fair enough. I won't try and convince you otherwise.
Thanks for signing up.

It might be the Velia?
Our tests show that it isn't anywhere near as quick as the Airblade, but if you liked using it then fair enough.
No HEPA filter either, so it blows dirty air onto your hands. Also uses more energy...
