I remember the first time I saw this as a kid, and was gutted initially when Starscream was killed. But immediately thought "fuckin hell, Galvatron is nails". Galvatron would easily have smashed Optimus Prime, who's best fights were behind him. I never really liked Ultra Magnus, I thought he was just a shit Optimus Prime, they should have him killed by Hot Rod in order to gain receipt of the Matrix.

the most hardcore part to me is when Starscreams crown slowly tumbles down the stairs and lands near Galvatron, and we get that close-up of Galvatron crushing it with his foot and wiping the floor with it. Little things like that make this better than the all three Bayformers movies.

Could someone explain to me how Starscream became the new leader. He was 2nd in command I know, but in a fight, Starscream is not that powerful and Devastator and Soundwave could kick Starscream's ass pretty easily. They never really showed the whole fight and why they all of a sudden agreed Starscream should be the new leader.

@Yabuturtle Devastator could probably kick Megatrons ass too, but it isn't just about strength. Starscream, like Megatron, is chaotically smart and all the other Decepticons know this. Hell, even Megatron knew this all too well which is why he made him, as you mentioned, 2nd in command.

And Soundwave acts as a servant to whoever he feels is superior. Notice he didn't put up much of an fuss when Starscream opted to throw Megatron off the space shuttle, eh?

@komiinc I always thought Starcream was kind of a terrible strategist. Usually his plans wouldn't work. I never thought he'd be a great leader. He's a clever speaker and knows how to manipulate someone but as far as plans go, they usually don't work. I just never really understood how the fighting stopped and then all of a sudden they agree that Starscream should be the leader, even though Starscream is not as powerful as the others. But the idea of yours sounds plausible I suppose.

@gabepizza Uh I beg to differ, Soundwave is well known for kicking ass when Starcream is known for getting his ass kicked. You just saw Soundwave defeat the Constructicons Devastator form. Almost all the time when Starscream triumphs, it's usually treachery, not strength.

Or how about even being assigned by Megatron to lead missions besides Starscream? Experience-wise, Starscream was the best choice.

The Animated Movie Galvatron was cool; the seasons 3 and 4 Galvatron was lame. The next Transformers movie will be a good opportunity to bring in Unicron and Galvatron, seeing as how Megatron was destroyed in the last film.
