Great video, i do agree about flying around an airport but thats been said enough... A little rough for my taste in fpv but overall nice video!

I luckily have a no fly zone around my place. Contacted the security officials (government owned laboratories and facilities) they inspected my gear, and they stated (and got in writing) that I can fly in this airspace but not within 3 miles of the facilities. Skys the limit!

I am also a pilot and have never flown my FPV or just my RC planes anywhere near an airport. It is just to dangerous and stupid. This is a great way for someone to get hurt and that would be the end of FPV for us all. It does not matter what the controller say's, it is just using your brain and common sense.

Good effort but I think you are missing the point the others are trying to make: Don't take unnecessary risks. I'm sure you could have flown a lot further away from the airfield and stayed a lot lower if you wanted too.

It only needs one mid air with a light aircraft and the bad publicity that would surely follow. Then none of us could fly!

Oh and regarding them "Not owning the air..." YOUR WRONG BUDDY anything above 700' AGL and in some cases 1200' is ECHO airspace which is CONTROLLED meaning they OWN THAT AIRSPACE AND DIRECT IFR TRAFFIC THROUGH IT. VFR TRAFFIC HAS TO WATCH OUT. SO WHY DONT YOU STAY OUT OF THEIR WAY AND FLY IN UNCONTROLLED AIRSPACE know as GOLF airspace which is surface level up to Echo. How about YOU GET your facts straight before you get schooled in front of millions of viewers, OR delete this so you look right!

You called ATC up? Yea well its still illegal to fly within 3 miles of an airport and Im sure ATC doesn't just break laws because you want to go flying. Also, being a pilot you are flying in Echo airspace where REAL AIRCRAFT FLY. Do us a favor and stay below 500 feet AGL so we can keep this hobby going for a bit longer.

@iFlyFPV It is not illegal to fly within 3 miles of an airport. You have to let them know if you are going to be flying above 400 feet. They do not own the air. I have as much right to be up there as anyone. I just need to let other traffic know my intentions hence I told ATC I was going to be flying west of the airport. Notice I said "told" and not "ask".

I have flown at the airport on airport property with permission... so please get your facts straight before flaming my videos.

There are many examples of people who have been fined radically upwards of $5,000 for flying in the vicinity of an airport. You need to let other traffic know your intentions? And how did you do that? On CTAF? In the vicinity of an airport? Your full of &^%T and we as real pilots know the regulations and can look them up in the FARAIM. From my own personal experience flying a c172 that sure looks a lot more than 1000f to me. Never trust the doggy ALT that are in OSD kits. Nice work getting a setup that can preform like that.
