  • Almost free Neodymium Magnets from

Get'um from any hardrive computor inerds-- Info:, differant grades most powerful N52 :^/

  • well it's able to lift a vented brake disc , not as heavy as an un-vented one but I wouldn't like to mess with those magnets

  • I put one on my arm and it pulled the iron out of my blood and right through the skin.

  • how big is the magnet you'd get from a HDD? like generally?

  • FUCKING MAGNETS

    HOW DO THEY WORK?

    D:

  • Tear apart an old hard drive, you will find them in there.

  • you guys are morons

  • @partmashgali Then what does that make you for watching their video? Shove a penis in your mouth if you got nothing good to say.

  • I've got a neodymium magnet too. They really are that strong. xD You have to be really careful about where you keep them because they can damage some electronics and recorded media. I keep it hanging on my wall, magnetically attached to a nail that is inside the wall.

  • whats the point???????????????

  • Watch out for possible injuries and fragments of magnets - this playing around can be dangerous ...

  • lol, shut up -.-

  • i knew someone who put one in each pocket and you can only guess what happened to him

  • @laurdy ,,, LOL, good one.

  • now if u put on of these and have it be completly possitive and put other possitives all arould it and and pushed the one on the bottom up will it float or just spin?

  • U can get VERY powerful magnets from a hard drive... they are dangerous.

  • I've seen small ones and they were very powerful. This one is much bigger. This is definitely not a toy.

  • Oh yes...

  • did that arm had blood?

  • it can crash some fingers ..................

  • look at guys arm at 0:16 DAM

  • to much playing with magnets.

  • It's all fun and games until someone gets their finger amputated.

  • That can't happen with these magnets, except in really weird circumstances (e.g. someone decides to attack razor blades to them).

  • you can also get a REALLY large one and anything metal can flatten/peirce your finger

  • It srsly can happen, I forgot the url but there is a gallery which included the missing upper portion of a man's finger.

  • Ya, not with these magnets. The ones in the video are only strong enough to pinch a bit.

  • how much does that cost?

  • so how much electicity could a magnet like this generate?

  • "ouch that hurt"

    all fun and games....

  • just added a comment

  • :D DAMN :D

  • holy shit... r u ok?

  • Yes very strong magnet AND

    WHAT???????????

  • Ouch.. nasty cut.

  • I have a neodymium magnet about the size of maybe 6 stacked silver dollars. It's capable of effecting the television picture from about 5 feet away and within proximity of another equal magnet, it would probably be capable of breaking fingers with a little carelessness. It's amazing to see what it's capable of picking up and I'd like to buy a larger one if I wasn't afraid of what it might do to my computer, television and my foolish exploratory tendencies. I have too much steel in my bedroom.

  • You did the Neo magnet cost in $ ?

  • take 1 out of an old computer hard drive

  • Thanks for the tip gus33 :-) !

  • your welcome :)

  • Or instead of breaking an expensive HDD, just spend the 10 $

  • Damn..... is a very powerfull magnet, that can`t hold a break

    unit !

  • hard drives have neodymium magnets that are small and VERY powerful. If you happen to have some old hard drives that need to be destroyed, there in there near the pivot point of the reading heads. They may seem part of the metal brackets and like they are glued or something but they are not, they are just that strong that you have to slide them off really really hard. Just KEEP THEM AWAY FROM ELECTRONICS! lol....seriously

  • Professor JRR SEARL invented the rare-Earth (Neodymium) magnet in 1946.

  • go buy a 1400w subwoofer or something of similar size... sure to find a powerful magnet in there. it takes an INCREDICBLE ammount of force to drive the compression of air that hard.

  • that dude had a big old gash in his arm

  • tru!

  • where can u get magnets like these

  • In a lawnmower

  • We ordered ours online. You can find various kinds, shapes, and strengths for various prices. Just run a search or two.

  • Thx man =D

  • kjmagnetics dot com is wher ei got mine and these are lot cheeper than other sites i went to. check it out.

  • yeah thats where i get mine too. there very cheap

  • if you can get your hands on damaged or blown Neo speakers (the bigger the better!) they normally contain at least two large neo ring magnets.

  • there not stronger though..... rare earth magnets (Neodymium) is the strongest magnet in the world.

  • I don't mean older style (more common)speakers containing ceramic/ferrite magnets, i mean the newer style speakers that do contain large Neodymium ring magnets, I used to work for a well known speaker manufacturer and i'm pretty sure they were mostly grade N35.

  • "Jamie Hyneman" always seems to come to mind when these magnets are mentioned. :P

  • haha i can see why

  • kjmagnetics . com

  • Thats so sweet. The possibilities are endless...

  • could i get these magnets from like walmart in canada or somethin

  • took 2 out of an old commercial computer hard drive left them in an old shoe in the garage for about 2 years when i picked it up- snap they clamped on my skin eeek had to use a screwdriver to get my hand out it was sooo painfull!

  • N45 i assume, they're one of the strongest, i used one about the size of a button and it lifted a 3lb dumbbell.

  • you can buy these on the cheaper than dirt catolog: 7.97 for one that can lift 100lbs.

12.00 for one that can lift 200lbs. and as far as i know its not illegal in my state

  • dont yo have to have a liscense to buy those?

  • THats nuts, I worked with neodymium by doping it in photocatalyst (TiO2), very cool element indeed

  • that is one strong magnet...

  • where can you get neodimium magnets?

  • best places I've found so far for my alternator is are-earth-magnets dot com or wondermagnet dot com.

and btw, you think those magnetets can hurt, wait til you get the ones that are over an inch thick.. they can kill. happy hunting.

  • EBAY!!!

  • i forget what my magnet is made of. but i think its neodymium you can take a hard drive apart and theres two magnets in them type hard drive magnet and it most likely will show you how to take it apart

  • you and I work in the same area: simerlab.

  • LOL, good luck getting that magnet off...

  • The other guy had a wound on his arm......???????

  • wow, pretty strong. The other guy had a wound on his arm.

  • lol "ou that hurts" :P

  • The ouch-magnets. Nice.
