  • This guy is an artist! What great videos! Very inspiring - makes me want to take my boat for a long sail...

It would be interesting t to know if Chumann qualified for the race.

  • this is the best amateur sailing video ever!

it´s awesome! i will try it on my own.

    VERY COOL IDEA!

  • I'm impressed, very impressed. David from Isalei (HR35rasmus)

  • I wouldlike to know how you managed this, what kite, what camara, did you use waterproof case, I like to sail shorthanded and this is the way to go.

    Thanks

  • @ciclon1942 A belated addition to your comment but all the information you require can be found by searching for: KAP or Kite Aerial Photography. Most sites agree that the best all round kite is the Sutton FreeFlow. These come in different sizes but the 16 is very popular. The Picavet suspension system is fairly standard and simple to make. The Rigs, however, vary from extreme simplicity to fully articulated Radio Controlled systems.

  • haha, awesome!

  • I have tried this also but without much luck....the kite is usually too unstable for good video. Your kite flies so steady that it's almost unbelievable! Could you please tell me what sort of kite you use and what kind of bracket do you use for the camera? Is the camera hanging on some sort of gimbled system under the kite? How many cameras have you lost in the sea? Please let me know!!!

  • That is too cool!

  • cool

  • Would like to know what type of camera and how he hooked up the harness.... Would like to do the same thing while crossing the Columbia River Bar in the tpical 8 - 10 swells.....If I can figure it out I will post it. Great video...

  • Chumann....very nice and a nifty idea. I may have to try that sometime....look my videos up...CD EXPRESS.

  • Bravo. That was awesome, I noticed you didn't leave her up there that long. Very nice rig, she moves well & it looks like you are really set-up nicely.
