Couldn't agree more. He's fresh, original and sings from the soul. Power singers are a dime a dozen, and if they don't move you, pfft. Look at Billy Joel, Dylan, Neil Young, Van Morrison. Their voices are arguably less than up to Idol standards but they sell, because they're artists. Hopefully Jason will get the chance to prove himself.

This is so much better than anything Archuleta did at any point during the competition. That being said, it was clear that Jason didn't want to remain ("don't vote!") and he got what he wanted. This is gorgeous and comparable to the impact of the original by Bob Dylan. I can't wait to hear this guy's album, and the only other Idol I've said that about is Melinda Doolittle.
