  • I have to say it's preety nice but triple thumds up for this man I love this

  • While I do agree fighting AU 313 was random, I just think about how the fight is essentialy agains Phaaze and Dark Samus/Metroid Prime due to the symbiotic link they all share now and it gets a lot better for me.

  • this was the worst way to end the prime series. what they should have done was once dark samus is deafeated, she explodes and turns back into metroid prime (without carapace) then you fight. when metroid prime health gets half way, she absorbs the phazon around her or him and turns into the origanal metroid prime. ever heard of the meaning of a conclusion? take what you have at the beginning then reuse it at the end.

  • @xxsomeperson88xx

I'll admit, the whole "Aurora Unit 313 is the new final boss" thing was kinda...odd. Yes, it made sense plot-wise, but you'd think that someone born of Samus' DNA/Suit AND one of the most powerful Metroids to ever exist wouldn't have to merge with a plot-kai robot to get the job done. But fighting Metroid Prime again just wouldn't be quite right. I'm not sure what they should have done, actually.

  • The Aurora Unit on Hypermode was a challenge. I died several times because I was nearly at full everytime I made it to the head part. But I do like this theme music.

  • on hypermode... *kills dark samus with ease* a wild aurora unit appears! *kills body with some effort* phew, i beat hypermode! *head is still alive, my phazon meter is nearly full* FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • Try this thing on hypermode and see how you do if you think this is easier.

  • Why is it that the final bosses of metroid are easier than the ones in the middle???

  • @FUNTclan because you have all the suits and weapons :D lol, and more ET's

  • corruption had some doo doo music

  • such chilling music to go with the metroid primes final run at killing samus

ps: i no what the hell im talking about dark samus is metroid prime

  • See, the fight itself wasn't BAD, but in NO WAY was it fit to be tue end of the trilogy. If Dark Samus had taken over Mother brain, however...

  • Mother Brain was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better then this.( Even though she my favourite metroid villian, but still). The fight was horrible. Nice way to finish a trilogy guys. Music was ok for this part.

  • Heres how the fight should have gone:

Samus hits the ground, the big circle floor opens up and Aurora 313 comes out with the spine still attached, samus kills it. Then you kill the head like normal. It explodes like it does, and Dark Samus comes out, and shes 3 times harder than the original fight.

  • 3 people didn't read the message on the Valhalla.

  • poor aurora unit, it never meant to do this

  • ANOTHER HEAD BATTLE WHY?

  • @botsman5 I know right? I get enough head battles when I got two girls fighting over my stick.

  • this thing looked like brain shit clumped together with metal shit

  • @xTheToonLinkagex I bet they were intended to be the Federation's version of Mother brain

  • When I saw Aurora unit in the Trailer I was like "ZOMG MOTHER BRAIN IS GONNA BE IN MP3!! *buys it* *gets to Phaaze* ....awww"

  • 3 people don't know to shoot the AU Head behind it to damage it.

  • Isnt there any Soundtrack that DOESNT involve the word battle? :D

  • @xRaikunOx Yes. Skytown, Ridley, and every other level ambience. XD (Ridley's theme is properly titled (officially by Nintendo!) "Vs. Ridley".)

  • @xRaikunOx Look at the title of this vid.

  • Dark Samus battle music was way more fitting for a final battle; this sounds like a mini boss theme

  • I miss bosses like these . You dont get bosses like those in these newer games......

  • 3 people didnt get the MOTHER brain reference

  • @blarge911 it was actually in the Steamlord if you listen carefully.

  • 3 people died trying to kill the aurora unit.

  • dark samus and aurora unit combined to form a monster that would rival the mother brain

  • I take back some of what I said about this song.

This beats down Other M's non-existent final boss music by lightyears.

  • @KawaiiDesuNekoBCSK theres a final boss in Metroid Other M

  • @44dman44 Final boss MUSIC.

Tell me, do you actually remember it at all? I didn't think so.

  • @KawaiiDesuNekoBCSK Ya i do actually.

  • @44dman44 It was incredibly bland and unmemorable. I mean really, 2 notes? That's less than Corruption's whopping total of 4 notes per song!

  • @KawaiiDesuNekoBCSK No, I was too busy being shot by lasers -.-

  • @SethSandwhisper You mean you didn't abuse the cheapass sensemove?

  • @KawaiiDesuNekoBCSK You could?

  • @SethSandwhisper Yes. Mash the D-pad and you win the game. Even cheaper than Hypermode, and here I thought that was impossible.

  • @KawaiiDesuNekoBCSK I think it's because of the composition..There was no ...theme to the boss fight like nightmare wo soudlve had an awsome remix to his Fusion theme it was all like mashed up stuff put into an musc editor where it was made to be like this *D BAWFVHAWBHJAVGFHAFKADFBJAFNBAFV AHGFAYFVAFNHAHAHAHAHAAFUBFAFVB1337NDJAFDADDFAIDSAMUSDVAYFHAYGAUFDKABH

P.S. There is a few references in the jiberish and also i saw a walkthrough so im never byuying that game with hardly any satisfaction.

  • I like AUs, but I didn't like having to fight one twice in a row.

  • its looks like mother brain

  • hehe how many aurora units can you fit in one jar? .....fuck it. nvm

  • too much mother brain theme im hearing..

  • am i the only one who can hear mother brain's theme from super metroid in this

  • To me, this sounds like more of an escape theme than a final battle.

  • Its cheeks looks like jigsaw's

  • WAY TO EASY

  • my favourite music of the game...

  • This battle was intense, so was the music. I think this music was the BEST battle music in the MP trilogy (WHICH IS AN AMAZING GAME BY THE WAY)

  • I thought this would just be another Dark Samus only fight. Damn, was I wrong!

  • download link is inconclusive.

    try a new one.

  • Just finished the game for the second time. The credits are rolling as I type this comment. The boss was mad easy but the song was so epic. Metroid, er rather, Nintendo never seems to fail me with it's epic Metroid music. That is one gaming series I've heard the least complaints about...the Metroid series! Just goes to show you how much awesome work Nintendo and Retro Studios has put into their game(s)!

  • I beated it in hypermode, took me some time... BUT IT WAS EPIC.

  • I like this theme better than the 1st one for the Aurora Unit. This makes it feel so much epic

  • This music feels anticlimactic to this day. 3 remixes of Darkness in a row does not make for a satisfactory final boss theme. It felt rushed, like the rest of the game.

  • Mother brain will get you! It may take months, years, decades, generation, centuries, or even a millennium, but mother brain WILL get you. XD

  • @Eyeofnelms Nah, the Aurora Unit may have been a replica to Mother Brain but the Chozo created Mother Brain, therefore it would HAVE to be far more advanced. It would take them longer than millenniums to create another Mother Brain. Plus, Mother Brain turned on the Chozo, therefore she is the real leader of the space pirates! :D

  • NO! this was a really bad boss. Dark samus should have been the final FINAL!!! boss maybe he have 3 stages? but not this stupid aurora unit!!

  • AHHHHHH THIS SONG IS ANNOYING (heads expoldes)

  • I can't take this music seriously, and I certainly couldn't when I was fighting the head of the AU... I felt like I was fighting a silly and cartoony alien boss...

Silly, that's that feeling I get from this theme, a silly feeling as if I fought a childish-looking alien boss.

  • OOPS I MEAN VALHALLA!

  • Metroid music is the best.

  • why do ppl hate this music? i think its epic and perfect for the boss

  • Comment removed

  • +3? IT'S OVER 3!!!

  • remember it is a WII version game... the 1st of its kind and i dont want to face Metroid Prime with the WII mote>.> (im not that great at aiming...)

  • am I the only one who found this music and this boss kind of... lame? I thought Metroid Prime 1 was way better.

  • @NortontheVirus

It was a good boss, but the music was indeed a bit disappointing. I had hoped for a bit more epic theme

  • On normal and veteran, yes, it leaves a lot to be desired. Hypermode...well....you can find out for yourself. Took me like 6 tries to get past the 3 bosses on HM.

  • @Pabroussard i totally agree

trust me people: you wont have played the real game until you clear it on hypermode. you'll understand what i mean

  • on hyper mode difficulty to me is like almost impossible. i died so many times and i couldn't beat it. Took me at least 3 tries.

  • it took me almost 15, and thats is probably an understatement

  • Geez...you got that far on Hypermode? I can't even get past the space pirate battle on Bryyo. Damn...I really suck.

  • @Poeish it's ok. Just keep dodging and shooting that's what i do.

  • I'm talking about the one with the two anti-aircraft turret space pirate battle.

  • @Poeish oh. Bummer. Yea it took me quite a while to get out of that situation. I was lucky cause that took me 5 tries but man i had no clue what i was doing.

  • That is where I am on Fire Bryyo on Normal mode.

  • I KEEP GETTING KILLED O N OLYMPUS ON HM

  • By the Pirate mitildas at the start (i know i am stupid)

  • Lol, I got as far as G.F.S Olympus until i got OWN3D By a Phazon-Infused Inglet (Phaz-Ing)

  • Wow I made it to phaze in Hypermode on tuesday

  • This 3 part boss battle is the hardest task to beat in any Metroid Prime and the music kicks ass.

  • Brain in a jar stikes back!

That's what the Auroras make me think of, giant brains in jars...

  • lol obviously since mother brains in a jar lol :P

  • @SableGear How does the Auroras make u think of giant brains in a jar?

  • @MrDarkRidley Aurora 242 is a in a big tank thing, like a giant bran in a jar. And of course there's Mother Brain in her giant jar, there's some speculation she might be an early version of the GF Aurora units.

  • @SableGear I wonder if they aren't where the Space Pirates got the idea from, if they somehow built or created Mother Brain.

  • @EvilUser The Chozo built Mother Brain.

  • @manofaluminum9000 But then why would it lead the Space Pirates?

  • @EvilUser Did you ever read the manga? Go to the Metroid Database and read it. You'll understand.

  • @EvilUser Yeah you gotta read the manga to find out but since the guy was too lazy to tell you, I'll tell you the short version. Anyway, the Chozo created Mother Brain. Mother Brain wasn't impressed with the Chozo's efforts (in what they were doing). Mother Brain turns to the Space Pirates.

  • @manofaluminum9000 yeah but the federation had part of the project but and then this is a courrupted remake unit by dark samus

  • @Samus2Daksam Wrong. 313 is an original Aurora unit built by the GF, stolen by the SP, and used by DS.

The Auroras are the Successors to Mother Brain, built after the GF stopped hanging out with the Chozo.

  • @SableGear a.k.a. Mother Brain!!!

    :P

  • @SableGear Like Mother Brain, right?

  • @SableGear MOTHA BRAIN!!!

  • mogenar is hard.

  • I think they included some of the foreground music from MP 1's flaargha's battle

  • Awesome boss battle but it was easy but still Corruption is an awesome game gotta love Metroid

  • Comment removed

  • Who gives a fuck!

  • i disagree, i think rundas is cool!

  • Your Corruption meter didn't reset after you defeated Dark Samus. I do agree that the fight was a bit too easy tough.

  • Try it on hyper mode, until you get really good at it you have to fight him with over half your corruption meter and no drops, and his laser attack can take up to 1/4 of your corruption meter with every energy tank in the game collected. Its insane.

  • Believe me, I have. It is a pretty difficult fight indeed.

  • i sense a little bit of the transitioning part of ridley's theme in here.

  • it is actually mother brain super metroid with dark samus.

  • yes, i meant that along with the other stuff.

  • The weird thing is, everybody I know finds this boss easy, while I had one hell of a time beating it. Was it because I was dumb enough to attempt to win on veteran mode?

On the other hand, many bosses people find hard, I find easy. Like the one you fight in Prime 2 where your life is being drained as you fight him... who is that, again?

  • There are two of them:

Boost Guardian and Quadraxis (I thank the game makers for not putting Spider Guardian in Dark Aether)

  • She is similar to AU's but far more advanced and made by Chozo not Humans.

  • AU was created from mother brain (based off of mother brains design)

  • No. Mother Brain was the first of its kind, but its not an AU. AU's are more of a "successor" kind after Mother Brain (after it was taken and modified by space pirates) or its just a cheap rip off at attempt to end the Prime series with an epic fight with it (not).

  • Mothership Zeta anyone?

  • this song is the best to a final alien boss

  • I dont know why but when i beat this boss my hands were shakeing but it was so easy :D

  • That's how intense it was for you lol.

  • Most of the designers have left Retro now, (I spoke with one of them, actually through email!) But they still changed Meta Ridley's theme in the New Play Control Prime. I'm just hoping they fiddle with the music for this a little in the Trilogy game, and maybe a little harder...please Retro?

  • As a final boss for Corruption, it was really good. As a final boss for the Prime Series, meh. :(

  • Best final battle theme EVER!!!! It feels, kind of energetic, yet also sad, as if Phaaze is doomed...

(And before you say anything, I KNOW it is, I'm just emphasizing)

  • phaaze is obviousley doomed, because i'm there! *looks evil*

  • IMHO they really messed up the story in the end. I thought the Pirates were going to use Aurora 313 as their new Mother Brain in Super Metroid =/, that would've been a nice tie-in with the "original" series.

They were even implying it in one of the trailers for MP3.

  • Yeah, well, even though I like the prime games more thant the 2d ones, I don't really consider them canon, since the original creator of metroid (forgot his name) didn't work on them, so stuff like this doesn't bother me

  • I've never encountered anyone online who hasn't considered the Prime series to be canon. Interesting :)

It doesn't bother me either, but I think they wasted a good opportunity to explain Super Metroid and the new Mother Brain.

  • There's nothing to tell or relate about Super Metroid and Mother Brain in Prime because everyone knows about the game's plot and what mother brain is. What they missed to explain is how the hell was there a Metroid (Prime) in Phaaze (an incredibly far planet) in the first place if they only existed in Zebes, SR388, and maybe Tallon IV? I think the Chozo may have an involvement with Phazon's origin. That's why I have a new Metroid Prime game idea that'll explain the rest of Phazon's true origin.

  • As far as the Metroids getting on Phaaze, it's likely that Dark Samus brought them there herself after she discovered Phaaze.

  • No. I mean how was there a metroid species on Phaaze in the first place before the first Phazon meteor launched and struck Tallon IV.

  • You mean the Metroid that became Metroid Prime? I'm guessing that one was never on Phaaze, and was instead native to Tallon IV. Since the Leviathan creates a guardian by luring in and then mutating a local predator, one could assume that it lured in a local Metroid, probably one domesticated by the Chozo, and mutated it.

This would all have to occur before the shield went up, but since the Temple was the last thing the Chozo built before they left Tallon IV, it would make sense.

  • Gunpei Yokoi, and it's kind of hard for him to work on them, cause he's dead.

    Poor guy.

  • 0_o

    They are very canon >_>

    They resurrected the Metroid.

  • Actually it doesn't matter because they have no connection to the original series

  • tite music!

  • same here but the mother brain in the older 1's arent controlled by a phazon virus

  • well, yeah, because there wasnt even phazon back then.

  • True AND False.

yeah, they hadn't made the "Phazon Idea" yet,

BUT! in the games, Phazon existed in and before the chozo wer on Eylesea.

Whitch, for you who don't know, is before Tallon IV got struck.

  • It's "Elysia".

  • Thanx,

I hadn't played it in a long time, I kinda forgot that it was ysia and not esea.

    Thanx

  • Doesn't Dark Samus fuse with the aurora unit and becomes Mother Brain. I mean, the metroid prime trilogy does in fact take place before the original games. And Dark Samus does work with the pirates as mother brain does in the original. The aurora units does look like some kind of "mechanical brains". so , i think, my theory fits pretty good.

  • Except the prime trilogy isn't before all of them, it's between metroid 1 and II.

  • Normal is waaaay too easy. A single full charged shot can take away 1/3 of the head's health! But Hypermode is really hard. Veteran is a nice balance. Mogenar, Omega Ridley and Dark Samus/AU 313 are really hard on Hyper.

  • i had so much fun battling Dark Samus and the aurora unit i was literally laughing insane enjoyment as i dominated in that battle.

  • Technically you didn't fight the Aurora Unit, so to speak. Realizing she was losing, Metroid Prime decided it was time to bring out her trump card, fusing with the corrupted AU to assume even greater combat superiority over her foe.

Still a lame final battle, sort of.

  • Don't be afraid to admit it, it was a VERY lame ending and last boss in MP3

  • Indeed, it should have continued after you released all your phazon. Perhaps 313 would explode into Metroid Prime, and you would get to use the "lightning" hyper beam(from MP1) again. Perhaps even forcing you to charge your power beam to collect it, as a sort of homage to both the first and Echoes.

  • I still wonder why the Aurora Unit battle took place after Dark Samus. The battle would have been much more epic to end with Samus vs. Dark Samus, rather then the head.

  • well, technically dark samus fused with the aurora unit, and also that was the aurora unit that you needed to save from the virus, but it was corrupted.

  • better yet, Dark samus should have fused to a bunch of phazon metroids and become the metroid prime once more. O__O

    THAAAAT would have been EPIC

  • yeah, with a remix of the metroid prime essence music

  • one thing: if dark samus can replenish herself from phaaze itself, then why didn't she just go overactive and replenish herself by absorbing loads of ultra-radioactive phazon and becoming, say, uber dark samus instead of fusing with aurora unit 313? her biggest mistake in the metroid prime trilogy was bonding with something linked with her homeworld's core.

  • Because she already did it in the last game. Why repeat the same battle tactic if it didn't work the first time?

  • Hey, could anyone exchange friend vouchers please?

  • Comment removed

  • same

  • Samus(thinking):Wow...i must fight a head...AGAIN...

  • It's too bad Aurora Unit 313 was such an easy boss compared to the previous battles in Metroid Prime.

  • Well it's not easy i the hypermode or veteran mode, whichever was the tougher one...

  • I played it Veteran as soon as I got it, never used Normal.

I found it farely hard. Easier than 1 though, because the controls were better.

  • Lol, I actually started on Normal, but when having finished more than half of the first planet you go on, I was like FUCK THIS! Way too easy!

    So started over on Veteran!

  • this songs sounds like sumthin from darkstlakers.

  • Is it wrong to sorta hear SUper Metroid final boss theme?

  • No offense but how do you hear the Super Metroid last boss theme here?

  • It's in the backround... sorta.

  • That rythm is in background of the last boss of Super Metroid, it's difficult to notice

  • The steamlord miniboss has a remix of SM last boss.

  • i can here mb's theme...only just tho

  • Yeah, that's what my brother says who hates metroid.

  • HOLY **** mother brain

  • Out of ever game series ever, the first game i ever played was metroid fusion (the last one it the series........so far that is)i just love metriod/the metroid series,it is my very favorite series in the world, and believe it or not,the first time i ever realy heard of samus, was is the original smash brothers game for the n64...and thats how i loved the metroid series, because i always played as samus, and i still do today,in the smash bros. games, and i wanted to see wat metroid games were like....

  • ....and the first metroid game i could come across was either metroid zero mission or metroid fusion (i cant realy remember) and now i have all the games, beat the all, unlocked all the stuff, got 100% items collected on all the games, and i just love them all!

THE METROID SERIES MIGHT BE ONE OF THE BEST GAME SERIES IN THE WORLD (MOST-LIKELY THE BEST GAME SERIES FOR NINTENDO BECAUSE I NO HOW POPULAR THE HALO SERIES IS)

so if u agree with me on how AWESOME metroid is.....thums up my comment
