(part 1)so i followed your advice on piercing your tongue and i did it. its been 3-4 days since its been pierced. the swelling and soreness was reduced but thats not my concern. You see i didnt use a long barbell as my jewelry, because i couldnt get one so instead i used a standard sized 14 gauged jewelry (i pierced my tounge with a 14 gauged hallow point needle) the jewelry's bottom part is thin but flat. the top is the same only it isnt thin. ive noticed that the bottom part seems a tiny bit

oh, you forgot to mention to check under your tongue for your veins, you can hit a major artery and bleed out. GO TO A SHOP AND GET IT DONE. and, you can't just go out and buy a hollowed out needle unless you're licenced.

@61coopdog It just makes the transfer from the needle to the jewellery a whole lot more difficult, and since piercing needles are cut with lasers, a normal needle will be blunter causing more trauma on the tongue as more brute force is needed. But as long as its properly sanitised, infections should be rare.

@Magic2tv I've seen quite a few people do it without clamps. Clamps are there just for guidance and to make sure the needle goes in straight. You can do it without a clamp, but you have to be pretty confident. If your still unsure it's best to buy a clamp, they're pretty cheap on eBay.

@ShudderTK1Summer411 For your lip? Honestly I used a large sewing needle when I first pierced my lip before I actually researched into piercing properly. I wouldn't advise you to use a sewing needle but if you can't buy a proper piercing needle and you're stubborn like me then you can use a sewing needle, as big as possible, follow it through with a small earring because a lip ring wont fit. After it's healed you can switch the earring with a lip ring.

The color in the video was actually by accident, I bleached my hair then dyed it off black before school and eventually some of the black hair dye washed out which left me with a light copper mahogany color. What I would suggest if you have dark hair, to dye it using a blonde/light brown hair dye.

@XxZomBieQueen187xX Your tongue would swell twice the size for a good week. Your parents will notice inevitably if you speak a lot to them as you will speak strangely for the first week of healing, even after it is healed, people tend to notice tongue piercings when you talk upfront to them.

yes you can go paralyzed if you do it wrong you could possibly die as well. if your tongue starts bleeding after you pierce it i advise you to get it looked at by a doctor

@IAMFIT2 Your clamp should work fine. Unfortunately a tongue piercing is very hard to hide, unless you don't open your mouth (talk, laugh etc..) around people forever. Especially since the first week your tongue will swell nearly twice the size. Only way I can think of to hide a tongue piercing is putting a clear tongue piercing retainer in, but you can only do that after your tongue has healed for a good few weeks.
