Kriya requires a living authorized guru and guru-discple relationship is essential. SRF does not contain this and Yogananda changed much, which certainly was his right, but Kriya without khechari mudra, which the whole system is designed around, is not Kriya whatsoever.

His Guru was real and authorized—Sri Satya Charan Lahiri, son of Sri Tincori Lahiri, son of Sri Sri Lahiri Mahasaya, but Shibendu was never authorized, did not receive anything beyond 2nd Kriya at best, and is obviously not legitimate to anyone that knows anything about True Kriya. Just another con-artist making money off the Holy Names of Sri Sri Mahamuni Babaji and Sri Sri Lahiri Mahasaya.

SRF is also not legit place for Kriya. Yogananda changed much, including removing khechari mudra.

@peza77 there is no guru there, they have changed two of the kriyas and they cannot give anything past 2nd kriya initiation. This to me is not valid, and does not interest me. Living guru is essential.

While the line Lahiri Mahasaya - Sri Yukteswar - Yogananda is the real deal and God's gift of salvation, who was this guy's teacher ?

That he is a descendent of a Great Yogi does not make him anything, Sri Yukteswar was an incarnation of wisdom and his own mother wouldnt listen to him :)

I am not dissing or undermining this guy's realization if he has any, I am just asking who was his teacher and his teacher's teacher ?

I would have thought that those of Sri Mahasay's own family who continued his teaching would be viewed as a treasure and receive public visbility in continuing the work of this great master. Why has his great grandson had so little exposure or mention by Sri. Mahasaya's descendant disciples and organizations e.g. SRF, Ananda, etc.? In all that I have read, there is no mention of him? What is is his background and teaching? Thanks!

Shri Rama Ji identified Shri Hanuman Ji while he was disguised by his perfect pronunciation and use of Sanskrit when he spoke, he said only an educated Brahmin or one who had vast 'noble' knowledge would speak as he did...
