  • hehehe, great.. the best guitarist today

  • I saw Randy in '77 at the Maui Bell (bar) in Lahaina. Yes, he is the best.

  • increible !

me encantaría poder verlo en vivo !

muchos giles solo se enfocan en el aspecto técnico de hendrix pero olvidan lo principal ... la música de hendrix aparte de la increible técnica era más que todo PASION !!!

y este músico lo tiene todo !!

    thnks for this post !

    randy is the best !!

  • 3:08 - 4:16 That's why there's Fender Squier!

  • first and foremost, try to find another cat covering this blistering genius'music.

you wont.randy plays with alot of intensity, and power and love for the guitar.

give him credit, since no one has the balls to get up there in front of many rocknroll fans and play hendrix music.the comment i just read is uncalled for, this guy rips it for all of us since jimi has moved on.maybe we will see you in the next world, and dont be late!

  • I like Randy Hansen! The world desperately misses Jimi, and while he is not Jimi, he captures some of that spirit and vibe. Easily the best Jimi tribute, hands down. And he is a great player!

  • i was at that show biznatches

  • Randy Hansen is GOD!!!!!!

  • Say anything you want to about Randy, but when you see and hear him live, He Does The Talking, and everybody listens!

  • That was great! Now do it left handed....

  • excellent cover, hey randy you sound pretty damn good! I really dig the stage act!

  • always great to see randy play

he made this festival even more memorable to bad jimis brothers band doesnt sound this good... oh well thank god for randy

    rock on!

  • WHOA!! this man is all we have

next to the real deal.great effort!

his tone is very similar! his vocal

is too!! i hope he comes to the new england area.does anybody out there

    know if he is?

  • C'mon man have some class...

  • @marijuananewschannel yea but seriously dude, any guitarist worth his salt has been playing ManicDepression and other Jimi tunes since childhood. Its not very difficult and this Hansen dude is not doing any spectacular guitar playing, but basically just copping some of Jimi`s licks note for note.

  • @grandchamp1on1

Fuck YOU...Randy doesn't claim to be!

  • @grandchamp1on1 and neither are you

  • @grandchamp1on1 A Jimi want to be, & the Hendrix family did not give a dam about Jimi till he became a star. Other than his father. Now they fight over his money''''

  • shit this guy is the real deal

  • He does a great job if you like this you will love the

    STONE FREE EXPERIENCE

  • ive played on that drum set rick spano is awesome.!

  • I was fuckin their!

    Love you RANDY!

  • Just the way this song should be played.

  • Sometimes one becomes so into the powerful aura created by an artist that the must, must do everything possible to replicate it and live the life. Randy is incredible and believes in what he does. What help to whine about someone else doing something wonderful and giving you the opportunity to come damn close to seeing an artist you will never see again? Blues-based music, jazz and classical are full of artists famous for "doing" others' material. Be happy. Great guy and phenomenal musician.

  • i play jazz.. and playing other peoples music is essential.. the beatles covered 500 plus tunes back in the day..before they got huge.. people just dont realize ya gotta pay your dues to shit that came before if ya have any hope of creating a new voice for yourself..

  • @Funkatronical you call this shit?? come on man he made the changes for you to play now other wise you would still be playing sloopy which is also part from hendrix

  • I was there on stage to the left.Randy i a friend of mine .I've even got to jam with him at my club when he spent a week at (The House).

  • I've met Randy Hansen, cool guy, awesome musician ..

  • $100.00 Fender Squire burnt to hell!!

  • tis why they made those guitars to smash and burn..

  • rendy hansen è troppo "rendy hansen"

    .... un grande

  • you'll won't give us nothin will u

  • ???

  • something thats done should not be done again unless its evolution

    u figure it out

  • I remember seeing Randy play the first time at Paramount Theater in Seattle. I went to HS with him at Chief Sealth and jammed with him once in awhile. When I saw him doing Jimi that night it completely blew my mind. It was like he was took over by Jimi's soul. Real freaky.

  • Good comment ThumperOne...

    uK

  • lol sum things never change , randy was doing this shit 30 years ago

  • And it's a VERY GOOD thing "sum things never change," as Randy Hansen has gained the admiration and respect of (at least) one new generation of fans!

But come to think of it, some things HAVE changed since 1978--Randy's playing and singing is better than EVER!!!

    Frankie

  • randy like works of his fans and the audience

    hes amazing

  • Saw him couple times in Seattle. Humble man off stage. Hope he don't burn himself one day.

  • "Ha ha - good laugh! Another Hendrix clone."

Nothing funny here. FYI, Randy Hansen is not just "another Hendrix clone." He is THE number ONE "Hendrix clone," so much so that he has gained official recognition from the Hendrix family. That and many more musical accomplishments throughout his long musical career. Do a web search and you'll SEE!

No, Randy Hansen is NOT just "another Hendrix clone."

    Frankie

  • Right On Frankie!

And, Randy is from Seattle, like Hendrix. I can't tell ya how much I dug this show, I wish I could've taped his entire set.

  • "I can't tell ya how much I dug this show, I wish I could've taped his entire set."

I'm sure you would've! I thankful for what you were able to record!

    Regards,

    Frankie

  • @Frank4268 So true - I've seen Randy numerous times, starting in the early 80's up at WWU and around Seattle since, even at tiny Big Daddy's out in Woodinville. He is indisputably the next best thing to seeing Jimi. Really, he has done a huge favor for all of us who never got to see the real thing. And, he writes some great music of his own. Rock on Randy!

  • @Frank4268 YEAH...PLUS Randy plays his very, very own style...for me one truly outstanding artist, as Jimmy would be alive. Has nothing to do with "cloning" he's just an "animal" of art, tone and SOUL!! If someone doesn't get this it is hard to help ;-)

  • I must admit, he's very, very good at what he does. I wish Jimi was still alive.

  • randy is amazing. period.

  • man the voice is perfect lol

  • Ha ha - good laugh! Another Hendrix clone.

  • Burn that fucking guitar !

  • I like him. though it seems hes tryna be more of somebody else, rather than himself

  • He is full of energy! Peace and love :)
