the isopropyl alcohol would light and burn untill right before the stove was primed i think the alcohol was kinda over vaporizing if that makes any sense
right before prime the flame would just *poof* go out
Great Video, but I have a question, when I use my Nova I prime but only for 1sec or so, and it starts quicker (to blue flame),I also use white gas. what is the advantage of preheating so long? and What fuel are you using in this demonstration?
I adhere to making it burn with kerosene.Because, .. it is obtained easily at a low price anywhere. There is a fault which will require time by the time it burns ..If kerosene is used, I will remember ancient times and will think that it is nostalgic.
very good video..well done, its nice to see one of these actually up and running and of course how to start one up and turn off..thanks for that..how much are these to buy?? i live in NZ ..cheers
Do you know eBay? I think it the best to purchase by eBay.At the eBay, it is now sold for US $119.99. Since the shipping and handling cost to New Zealand is US $29.99, a total of US $149.98 is required.
When you search to eBay more, there may be a cheap thing.

You need to learn the proper way to light this. Not safe to do it this way; could start a fire and find yourself caught in the middle of it.

what i do w/ mine is what i like to call the double like procedure
first pump up the bottle
two open the valve and let a bit of fuel drip onto the felt-ish wite wicking thingy (not technical term ;)
C: close the valve and light the fuel
4: alow all the fuel to burn off
then: open valve back up and light second time
and: as long as nothing flamable is around crank that bad boy up to comfotable level and allow to prime
ive gotten almost everything to burn except for isopropyl alcohol

That is not the specified lighting procedure.
