Great they put him in the movie but pretty lame they gave him such short screen time. He walks by the Captain in a split second, I mean WTF is that? At least let the guy say a few words, it doesn`t take genius to act.

@BondFreek It shows the picture of the late Randy Pausch who was a devoted Star Trek fan and not only had a cameo, but also a line as well.
It's not too dissimilar to another devoted Star Trek fan who had a terminal condition and was honoured by Star Trek. You've never heard this name before since the name of that young man was Jordan LaForge.
Funny how a novice like JJ Abrams understands Star Trek than a self-proclaimed expert.

Heh, thanks KingOfTheBritains!! :) I really liked your video too... Much like Randy's sister Tammy, I was very moved by your excitement when you said you saw him, and how you said it, etc. Almost made me get all teary...!!

Thank you so much. I'm glad you watched it and liked it. His lecture had such an impact on me, i couldn't not get excited to see him living out this dream. :)
Also, thank you for posting the this. I've been showing friends who missed him when they went to see the movie.
