  • that sucks there are more *pet* tigers then in freedom!

  • This is sick, those animals should be forever free, how can you keep tiger in the cage in your backyard? It sucks!

  • i crapped myself at 1:23

  • @gizzod678 Lol omg xD

  • 1:20 scared me :(

  • Unbelievable. Where I come from, you could spend decades in jail for trying to keep a tiger as a pet. It's such a singularly bad idea to begin with I can't imagine the hubris necessary to rationalize it to oneself. The USA has a long way to go to civilized laws for wildlife.

  • I think you should be able too if you have a lot of land and basically treat them as you guys do...but people don't so it's just wrong

  • America should ban tigers and other big cats as pets. These animals looks majestic in the wild but pathetic in a backyard.

  • Breaks My Heart Profusely To See That These Magnificent Big Cats

Are Being Caged Up in Such a Small Space. As I am a Great Lover

of Tigers and Can Not Believe That This is Happening. Where is The

Sympathy For These Tigers ?? How Can One Sleep at Night Knowing

a Tiger is Caged Up in What I Would Call a Box While Domestics Cats

Are Inside Sleeping on Beds and Having Freedom. WAKE UP PEOPLE

it is Now Time To Do Something BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE..

TIGERS DESERVE TO BE FREE AND THEN WILL BE HAPPY.

  • First of all i wouldn't even buy a wild animal like these because the experts has the right tools, tricks, ect. I'd rather buy a household animals like dogs, cats, ect.

  • You are obviously raising issues of concern and as a high profile site are able to educate people about such matters. However, in detailing how easy it is to acquire such animals, isn't there a danger that you might also be a high profile advertisment inadvertently encouraging such activity? Having said that I would like to express my admiration and gratitude to you for all the good work you do.

  • @darkendank Thanks for your support and you make a good point, however we felt that we had to make this video to educate the public about the abuse which is rampant in America and what they can do to help us with our mission :) Thanks for watching and commenting :)

  • F-ing SICK!

  • If u have a big cat pet treat them like big cat rescue does :)

  • i think that people should be able to keep big cats and breed them but under strict laws and rules all over the world

  • @MandJRecords Why do you think owning wild animals and breeding them for miserable lives in a cage is acceptable?

  • @MandJRecords i think we should be able to put you in a tiny cage as well...and never get any enrichment except for looking at bars the rest of their lives..they aren't prisoners and didn't ask to be born.

  • When legislators and USDA flunkies are forced to spend their lives two to a cage measuring 24' long by 10' wide by 8' wide, then perhaps they will have a change of heart about confining wild and exotic cats.

How unfortunate that the number of big cats is dwindling in the wild, yet the number of corrupt legislators and animal exploiters is in abundance.

  • god bless Big Cat Rescue in there efforts to stop ownership of big cats

  • big cats should not be kept like this the domestic cat is more free than this sadly :-(

  • Big cats shoulden't be kept as pets. They need space...

  • this video is sickening

  • i seen this movie n it was about a gorilla and how this girl was trying to stopp poachers and the gorilla was one of th biggest or some thing and than ppl found out n started treating it like some kind of art work and the lady didnt like tht. im runnnig out of space, but what if you found a baby cub tht was hurt by poachers and you raised it, and gae it huge in closer space, i get what your saying but some times they do it to protect the animals ;/... any ways I luv wht u guy r doing!! ^_^

  • its crazy how those conditions are legal, if the states representatives ever saw one big cat in those conditions in real life, they would change it immediately. contact your senators by email people! make a change. No wonder big cats kill their owners, imagine what a human would do to you in those conditions.

  • These magnificent animals deserve better than this!!! Please write your legislators, together we can make a difference in the lives of these animals. I hope that during my lifetime I will live to see the outlawing of private ownership of these creatures...big cats deserve a free and wild life...not a life of confinement behind bars....I can't even watch this entire video. Thank you BCR, for once again, being a voice for the voiceless.

  • They are beautiful animals from a distance, hopefully in the future the laws will reflect that fact.

  • If I was a senator I'd definitely try to pass laws to help this cause. I stay in hotel rooms bigger than those cages!

  • Sorry Enter key...

  • You guys are all doing a great thing helping these animals. I will never be able to understand how anyone can hurt an animal. Let alone adopt one they are AWARE is not meant to be domestic. I actually

  • rofl at the fattass 2mins inwards

  • 0:49 that just made me start tearing :'(

  • It's horrible keeping these animals as pets. They still have that natural instinct and can attack their owner at any given time. Plus, they need space and a lot of it.

  • 1:18-1:21 the cage saved the cameraman from potential harm and I bet that in the cat's mind, this other "animal" was attempting to invade its territory and the fact that it cannot strike this perceived threat may cause the cat to lash out at anyone given the chance.

  • Uh...What about Canada?? :(

  • Big cats belong in the wild. Or Big Cat Rescue. :) <3

    u guys are awesome.

    keep it up.

  • People should just stick to stuffed animals.

  • People SUCK ! ! !

  • This is Sooooooo unbelievably sad, I had no idea that Lions and Tigers were being kept in western countries in such unbelievably cruel conditions.

Gee we are still in the dark ages! "the cage only has to be big enough for the animal to stand up and turn around"

SPEACHLESS!, I'm used to seeing crap like that in certain parts of Asia, but had no idea ANYWHERE in the west was this backwards and barbaric.

A serial killer gets better treatment

  • i wish i had the money; i DEFINATLEY get a LION! = )

  • @princeiion i wish i had the money, i DEFINATLEY get a rope to tye you up and put you in a closet for the rest of your life!

  • @pigandcats THATS BECAUSE YOU HAVE A SICK & TWISTED MIND; YOU! are the one they need to PUT TO SLEEP!! = D

  • @princeiion why would you get a lion, when they are sopposed to be a wild animal, when this video just said you shudent?

  • @pigandcats yeah, i guess you're right; i would just want to HELP it; not CHAIN IT UP!; see, i put my self in the LION's paws; if i was in the wild and some body offered me a place to stay, food, and the freedom to move around and do whatever i wanted, i'd TAKE IT!! THAT'S why i said i wanted a lion; not to walk him around on a leash or something, but to HELP him, to have LOVE for him; thas all....

  • I hope people will ever learn that wild animals belong in the wild and no licence must be given by governements to keep these animals as pets. In Holland we do not see these wild animals in-or around private houses and if so, the police or the Duch animal protection take it together with the justice and it cost a lot of money you have to pay. People think only on commertion and earn much money about innocent animals, even cats and dog. Watch Animal Planet tv and you see the most awfull things

  • Here we go again with the peta mentality. Animals are either pets or not. There is no animal that is more or less justified to have as a pet than anyother animal is.

The only way tigers are going to make it another hundred years is in captivity because for all practical purposes, they are already extinct in the wild.

I would gladly advocate for better treatment of captive big cats, but I'm not buying what you're selling at its conclusion.

  • @Vlaxitov You are wrong. Pet animals (dogs, cats, horses, etc) are domesticated. Meaning that after 1000 + years of human breeding and conditioning they are tame and have become accustomed to human control and provision. Wild animals (the big cats you see in these videos, bears, chimps, whatever else) are WILD, they are not tame, they will ALWAYS have a prey drive instinct and will attack. Wild animals should NOT be pets. They always end up abused, period.

  • @sinical10 Meaning that after 1000+ years of participating in these exact acts you find so reprehensible with "wild animals" that have turned them into natures abomination aka our bred food, toys, and slaves today. Many of them were bred to work hence the title beast of burden. How many dogs get abused each year? How many dogs get put to sleep each year for superficial reasons? Which "tame" animals are lacking wild instincts? You are an example of that hypocritical mentality I'm speaking of.

  • @sinical10 Agreed.

  • These animals are not pets. They belong in the wild. There wild animal. Yeah beautiful animals, but doesn't mean there good pets, and keeping them locked up in a parking lot size cage is not big enuff it like a prison. I have no words to say how I feel about this.

  • I don't understand what someone would do with a tiger. I mean, you can't play with it or take it for walks. What good is it to sit in a tiny cage? I don't understand. What is the reasoning behind these people who have tigers as pets? Like what's the point? Just so they can show their friends they have a tiger? I am really curious what the owners have to say about why they own these big cats.

  • 100% Not allowed in my country! =)

  • this disgusts me seeing what conditions some wild cats live in, they need rescuing bad...

  • I don't believe they should be pets but should be taken care of to protect their species. Yes they are beautiful but they are still wild animals!

  • I guess for some people its posh to have poor tiger/lion/white tiger trapped in the cage.... How sad.... Really really sad that our world became like this...

  • I'm not from the US but if your country really allows wild big cats as pets, well... don't quite know how to comment. It seems so unreal. I mean, this is 2011... we've come a long way from the original Tarzan stories... or have we?

  • @TheAntelwi It seems we haven't, unfortunately for the animals :(

  • @TheAntelwi ...i know..it's just so surreal.. I have to force myself into reminding myself every single day that -there are good people in America too..to not fill myself with hatred for the totally absurd.. still, it is so absurd and surreal how ANY country calling themselves CIVILIZED and a SUPER POWER are so RETARDED as to behave like this when the rest of us have NEVER permitted ourselves to take wild animals and keep them as pets in this manner....

  • srsly big cats are not pets ! wtf ppl think cats will be happy in cage? :(

  • New life goal: Create a rescue after retirement so I can help these cats too.

  • i live in ohio and when i was young my grandma and grandpa owned a bobcat...it was amazing seeing it all the time...they owned 22 acres and gave it 16 acres of the land...after about a year they thought it would be better for it if it were in a zoo or back in the wild so they talked to some people and got it into a zoo...i cant remember which zoo but i think it was in columbus...its not much better but its better then their yard

  • well, and i thought irresponsible dog owners around the country were a problem, i can only imagine irresponsible lion/tiger owners. at least when a dog gets out youll have bite marks on a person and a moderate lawsuit, with these youll have a dead person on your head, and a major lawsuit.

  • (Didn't have enough space in the first comment) The lady was cleaning around the cage when the tiger mauled her to death, and all the government did and the people who euthenized the poor tiger was blame the tiger and they didn't put any blame towards the lady. But all I can really say is that its not the animal's fault. Its the fault of the person who decided to buy them as pets, when they're not.

  • @BerserkerDragon2008 Exactly, we wish everyone shared your view on the matter the animals are just doing what they do but they are always the ones that suffer due to the ignorance of people :(

  • @BigCatRescue like Tatiana, the beautiful tiger at the zoo in California...what a shame...one beautiful tiger for three pos

  • I personally agree to the fact that these big cats don't deserve to be kept as private pets. They can't be housebroken and they can't easily be trained, so all it takes is for the cat (like how that one cat sprinted out of its hiding spot towards the camera) to see its opportunity to strike and then the owner turns around, gets mad at the cats and then subsequently gets them euthenized. Just a couple of years ago here in Canada, a lady had a pet tiger (which she declawed the poor thing)

  • I would want a tiger in my backyard.

If my backyard was as big as a Jungle :P

Locking them up in cages, is just...Pathetic.

  • @ 1:43 happiest tigah in vid

  • When a big cat is rescued or abandoned then found, that cat cannot be immediately released back into the wild, right?

  • @johndominicmassa Captive bred cats are not released into the wild especially the cats we rescue that we cannot trace their genetic history, they associate people with food and are not afraid and they lack any real hunting skills. All the cats we rescue are given the best life possible in captivity :)

  • @ 1:23 now why would you own an animal that can do that ...with no experience? you have to be brainless.

  • sad... sad... sad...

  • This is the saddest way to live for such Magnificent Cats! I just hate people sometimes.. Heart breaking~

  • With so many cats and dogs in shelters so desperately in need of homes, why are these people foolishly trying to turn big cats into backyard pets?

  • @laceyemily1 Great point! Thousands of true pets are euthanized each week because home cannot be found for them, very sad :(

  • In the UK you have to get licence if in order to keep big cats and other wild animals, thanks to the Dangerous Wild Animals Act of 1976. If only the US had a similar law. It could also explain why there are many reports and sightings of large cats roaming wild in the UK.

  • @Sean0fenton I thought it was banned in the uK in 1976, can you still own them??

  • @BigCatRescue Some people do still own them in the uk, but you need a licence under the Dangerous Wild Animals Act law to keep them and to show you are capable of looking after that animal. Otherwise, yes it is illegal to keep them in the UK.

  • lol This video only makes me want to buy a tiger n.n

  • @Charlymaumushi Are you truly that incapable of understanding the point of this video? Can you even possibly fathom what it would be like to live in a cage the size of a small bedroom your entire life? These animals are ~500 lbs of pure muscle and power, beasts that were born to run, climb, hunt, rip, and tear. They are not lap cats or objects for your amusement. Look up your nearest animal shelter, look at the pictures of all the homeless animals desperately in need of a home and then say that.

  • @thelizardofodd I see the point. I wouldn't keep a dog in that space. But there is more ignorant people out there. If it is that easy to get a liscence maybe they should make it a little more difficult to get or "up" the living conditions of the animal. I would buy big enough territory if I was going to keep a wild animal. I am very aware of the animals that don't have a home. It's sad. Don't worry about me worry about the laws. they allow idiots to do these things.I wan't even buy a fish tank

  • Wonderful and informative video as always, it's nice to see Jeff in one!

  • why would anyone want to OWN a big cat!!!

  • Then they say indians are killing tigers

  • How can the government allow for such animal cruelty?! Aren't they worried someone might be injured, and/or killed?!

  • wht do these ppl think???

they r keeping thm happy?? does tht make thm cool? wht?? i dont get it.. these big cats just Do NOT belong to the backyards!

  • @jesstherocka I suspect that many of these private owners just want to feel special and unique and/or believe they can bond with these animals and have a special connection with them, until they attack them one day and the animal is destroyed. Ignorance and selfishness.... :(

  • @BigCatRescue Those people deserve a nuclear meltdown in their backyard.

  • That's insane!!

Why would one go so far to get a permit to keep a wild animal if they are not going to care for it properly? If you love them so much, then leave them where they are better off, in the wild instead of taking them in and putting them in living conditions so bad. I don't consider these animals as PETS, but creatures to be respected for what they are.

I never knew this - i've got a lot to learn!

  • How selfish, people like that make me nuts. If you really want to be close to wild cats, then work at a zoo, or for that matter, work at Big Cat Rescue!

  • Wild animals are supposed to be in the WILD... why can't some people accept that!!

  • There is a process in these people's brain that persuade them owning wild animals is somehow cool, fascinating or whatever. I cannot even conceive the idea of owning such great animals made to live in large territories, free and majestic among the other species. It's so unnatural seeing these animals in those cages. How can those people do that? I really REALLY don't understand

  • @Juliaundmich I suspect that many of these private owners just want to feel special and unique and/or believe they can bond with these animals and have a special connection with them, until they attack them one day and the animal is destroyed. Ignorance and selfishness.... :(

  • I cant believe people would keep wild cats like that in their back yard, its just not right, big cats need to be free or at least have lots of space to rome.

  • I can't watch this whole video. It makes me hate people. A lot.

  • @reapervampire ..so agree...human ignorance is beyond belif and words sometimes

  • Loving this video. It is very true and i love the fact your guys are saying ' NOT big cats'. Well know though some people properly still do not know about Big cats. Have more advertisement in the US and children will know about it like pokemon. lol Good luck sorting out these very scary people.

  • animal is same as human. If you keep them in the backyards what is the consequence?THEY NEED FREEDOM. THEY SHOULD HAVE A GOOD LIVING PLACE!!!

  • thats sooo stupid. if a dog was kept in an enclosure similar to the minimum confinement of a big cat, it would be considered cruel, and abuse. why is it okay for a big cat, or any other wild animal to suffer is such crap conditions, but not a dog?

  • The day where humans let animals have their own lives or even a bigger, more nature-ry place to live in is the day that humans finally learn their mistakes.

  • I say what I said ... on the Circus video.... PETITION ! Lets get it started .... Great Work BCR !!!

  • humans can be such selfish creatures. Keep doing what you're doing BCR!!!!!

  • 1:20 scared the crap out of me!!

Anyway, this is just cruel. Keeping a full grow animal in a tiny cage that is barely big enough for them.

  • What I don't think people realize is that large cats are high maintenance and thus require a lot of attention and care.

Never trade off Fido or Fluffy for something that was never meant to be a pet in the first place, it's like signing a contract with the devil; looks nice on paper, but screws you over in reality.

  • omg, my state (wv) is one of them. I'm really not that surprised -.-

  • I'm so upset, right now.

  • @truvelocity You know about Tony the Tiger, right? He's in a small cage at a Louisiana truckstop, without a pool or enrichment. His owner says he's 'family' BUT Tony never has peace; is BORED and has never seen anyone like himself; or ever seen stars in the night sky because of spotlights and loud traffic around all the time. He's lived that way almost 11 years, with people throwing rocks and trash at him! Join over 14K people at Free Tony The Tiger By Dee DeSantis on Facebook. ThanX!

  • @onekinkstar OK, I'm on it.

  • @truvelocity That's great and please share to get your friends and family involved. There were over 40K signatures on a petition last year, and the license was still renewed, BUT they know we are watching them and not approving. I'd like to think sooner than later they will get it, and pray it means Tony won't suffer more and/or die before he ever knows life as it should be on this earth.

  • @truvelocity - With regard to Tony the Truck Stop Tiger, you can also contact the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries asking them not to renew Michael Sandlin's license to keep Tony captive, as they have the final say in this poor cat's fate. His greedy owner, Michael Sandlin, refuses to give him up.

  • @laceyemily1 Yes, that's right. All the contact numbers, emails and addresses are on the Facebook page, with clicks to petitions too so it's easy to be involved and stay connected to news. Although the license was renewed in December 2010 to keep Tony at that wretched place, it could easily be revoked IF the so-called officials would just do the right thing. Louisiana is a corrupt state - perhaps the most corrupt in our nation . . . All while Tony suffers.

  • I love having wild pets. I have racoons, opussums, and hundreds of birds. The housing is simple. I leave them run wild in the woods and I create habitat for them and just enjoy them as the wild creatures they are. I would never want to remove them from the wild and pen or cage them. Large cats should be running free or in proper facilities not back yards with idiots.

  • People who keep big cats in those tiny cages should be locked in a cell that size! May seem harsh, but I love these animals!

  • @TheTiggy26 i will buy you, where evr you are, and lock you up in a cage so small your head will barley fit, FOREVER!

  • hm..

  • poor beautiful creatures. this is so fucking disgusting. everyone has lost their minds

  • hm. I support your efforts, but must say that the start of this video sounds like a tutorial for getting a wild cat "pet".

  • It would actually cost a lot, you forgot food and medical bills, But still, having a pet tiger would be cool, but it is not needed, tigers need a minimum of a 3 acres, lesser space will give the tiger fatigue and fatness

  • @Zirus101 Yes, but most owners will not pay for veterinary care and many feed them substandard diets and roadkill, the main point of this video is to show how little you need to provide by law and how cheap it is to own a big cat such as a lion or tiger, how they are treated afterwards is another matter.... :(

  • @Zirus101 dude probably if the tiger/lion would make a excellent guard cat because it can fuck the robber up

  • poor babies.

  • To that man speaking in this video: I don't know your name, but surely you are my God!

A lot of admiration from Italy.

PS= I would like that man read this message, because is strictly private for him.

  • @PLATOON72 I passed the message on to Jeff, thanks for watching !;)

  • @BigCatRescue the mankind's egoism is limitless. When I watch video like this one, I'm disgusted to be human.

  • 1:21 should be enough to make anyone realize that these animals aren't pet material. So fast. So powerful. Imagine what kind of damage they could do if they got out of that cage.

  • if only BigCatRescue had unlimited funds. changing laws, sweeping across the land uncaging all of our kings, .................... the ultimate rescue!

  • @NAKOR007 every one should post this on their facebook. the more people see it, maybe the more people will help!!

  • @knightsintodreams that is a really great idea. maybe favourite aswell.

  • 1:20 scared the living shit out of me

  • It really breaks my heart to see such wonderful creatures locked up in cages as small as the ones in the video. I absolutely love big cats, but I would never want one as a pet. They're simply not meant to be pets- they are wild animals. It really amazes me that buying a lion cub is only a click away. All these cats belong at BCR- you guys do such an amazing job at providing and caring for them :) Thanks for posting this video; it really helped raise my awareness on the topic.

    ~Cody

  • @CodyTheHusky Thanks Cody ! :)

  • It's unlikely that they will stop issuing permits for commercial purposes, and all I really care about is that the minimum requirements for their care is reasonable. That goes for private owners too. While big cats, bears, and large primates are pretty unsuitable for most everyone, these laws tend to make their way toward smaller species that are harmless and that is a violation of our rights.

  • When you put the focus on private owners, you deflect attention away from the real issue. People keeping big cats isn't the issue, it's how they are kept. It would be unfair to assume that there are no private owners who are good caretakers. It's easy to get private ownership banned, but permits are still issued to people who want to exploit them COMMERCIALLY. Monetary gain + animals is more likely to spell disaster, as with everything.

  • @ebolaoutkast We agree, but the purpose of this short video was to let people know how easy it is and how little you have to provide if you want to own a tiger, lion etc... There may be some good caretakers out there but this doesn't change the fact that it is wrong to "own" these animals in the first place. It definitely is not easy to ban the private ownership of big cats, believe us we have been petitioning for over a decade, changes are being made, but they are painfully slow.

  • My sister has been researching the hobby of owning tarantulas, and my god, that is such a strict practice!! She talked personally to a founder of a British organization that deals in tarantula trade and he told her all of the rules and regulations and laws and they are really wonderful! It makes me think why no other animal is cared for as well as captive tarantulas seem to be.

  • Tigers maybe cute on the outside but a dangerous wild animal on the outside.

  • Oh my god. It breaks my heart behond words. How could they do this to these beautiful cats that deserve the best of everything in their lives as well as any other animal. The cruelty is behond horrible. I cant bare this! The picture of the tiger locked indoors looking out the window killed me. All the pictures did.

This needs to stop!! I want to help in any way I can. I just wish we had more money. :( :( I have to try! These poor babies. ♥♥♥♥

  • @J801506

I was hoping for this kind of answer ;-)

  • meow meow

  • What a sad story and even sadder are the people taking on pets they deep down know they shouldn't have. They obviously use these pets to fill the empty voids in their lives. No matter what, these backyard cat owners are some extremely selfish dirtbags.

  • I Love big cats and if i had the funds, land and time i would love to have some but i would NEVER buy one and take it from its own country and lands...i would only take in ones that are being treated horrible such as being stuck in a small cage!! That really upsets me =*(

  • thats sad. i like the van also :D

  • If You Love Something, Set It Free.

  • That's sssooooooooo sad :"(

  • @J801506

    seriously??

  • Fuck US.

  • There are stupid laws for everything and no sufficient regulation for owning a wild animal... It doesn´t make sense.. If you don´t have place, time, money and qualification, don´t get a tiger!

  • I've heard that when Tigers are in those cages they think that they've become weak and not that active like the one in bigcatrescue.

  • owning exotic cats needs to be ILLEGAL. i dont see why it's not already!

  • when i get older im starting my own wildlife rehabilitation center. Im going to use my grandparents farm which is over a mile long. I will rescue a big cat myself but use my investments to give it the best captive home in the world. Not like these bastards that put the animals in small cages. I can see the habitar in my head right now. Over 200 feet of grassy land to run around in. A giant pool to cool off on hot days.

  • @DAN5675able Its sadly not that easy, but if you plan to actually pull it off, good luck ;)

  • @Luxrayspirit It will be expensive but I will not be cheap to give what these cats deserve

  • @DAN5675able I think there are several more difficulties in taking care of them...

  • @Luxrayspirit yes food, medicine, cleaning, so many more things!

  • it is so very sad to see these beautiful creatures kept like this.

  • dude i have never seen anyone who owns a big cat, and ive lived in alot of states

  • @sickoicko12 They are definitely out there....!

  • :(

  • thank you for sharing~!!!

  • Kind of makes me want a tiger. But at the same time Not!

  • I don't think much of people who have big cats as pets.Unless you are a professional trainer /veterinarian (such as Doug Suess with the late Bart the Bear) you should not own these beautiful creatures. The part where "There are more tigers in backyards than in the wild," that is truly DISTURBING and pathetic on our part. I don't feel sorry for these stupid (I would call them something else but you can fill it in) people who own these animals when the animal winds up having them for lunch either.

  • People SUCK.

I'm ashamed to be part of the Human Race ! ! !

  • @bRadicalmagic1 Oh stop it. dont condemn the entire human race because of a few bad people.

  • @Gebora: Too late, I already did.

  • @bRadicalmagic1 me too.

  • This is issue that should be solved but most likely won't be solved.

  • You know what is sad? That someone is watching this video saying "Sweet its legal in my state, and look how easy it'll be to keep my own tiger!"

  • it shouldn't be legal to own big cats as pets. it should be left to professionals who ACTUALLY care for them.the only exception would be if the person found the cat in question orphaned or seriously injured
