The Stelco Buildings behind the train are known as Le Cours Charlevoix consisting of 3 buildings, 90 condos. a verriere, and enormous courtyard that is also a "rooftop" garden.
@stlgevo51 There was no engineer it was control with a remote device called a beltpack you can see him controling the loco when he was on the roadway.

I noticed there were no gates or crossbucks at that crossing. I guess it's not used that much? Maybe the signs were out of shot....

The engineer sure was aggressive over the crossing. The GP9 loads really quickly. Cool video.

I'm sure it was so hard to let that pass. Impatient drivers!

I always wondered why the CN's Geeps' engines spool up and down so fast. I'd love to hear one go from idle straight up to notch 8 and back down. 8D

@SpeakerPolice that would be the beltpack computer doing that. It revs the engine and throttles off faster than any good hogger would.

Is that safe for the engine and turbo, long-term?
SpeakerPolice 8 months ago
@SpeakerPolice GP9's don't have turbos, and no it does no damage to the engine.

I know GP9's aren't turboed; I meant on other so-equipped locos, like a GP40-2, for example. xD
