  • It's in the oil companies best interests to keep us driving gas burners? Really? Wow never thought about it that way. Thank goodness she has a charge card, She's really doing her part. "Our housekeeper has one of those" Ha!

  • what are all those people complaining about... Gas costs 9 (!) dollars a gallon over here (Holland, Europe). I wish it was only 3 dollars a gallon..

I would love to own a electric car but it has to charge in a couple of minutes to be a real alternative for gas powered cars.

  • As we are long past peak oil, idiots cannot assume that they will continue the lifestyle to which we are accustomed. Wind and solar and electric infrastructure and research into certain algae biofuels are all necessary, but so is going vegan, reducing world population with mandatory vasectomies for men, and ending needless government waste such as trillions wasted on the NSA, CIA, and Drug War.

  • Are not we all sooo "good and righteous", as we are so good we may even make it to heaven.

I expect the back up electricity to run these cars when/if the sun does not shine comes from water-wave power, or an additional windmill fixed to the roof. What I find an amazing feat of technology is "how the car is made without and fossil fuels involved in the manufacturing of the car".But lets not wory about that, we can all go into denial about what we do not want to hear.

  • That girl with the Escalade is SO full of shit! She said, "I can't do anything about it" umm, you could get rid of your Escalade! Even if you need to transport people, there are options such as minivans and station wagons that get much better mpg than a giant SUV

  • Man, that eScalade driver's an arrogant bitch!

  • brain dead people try to think but fail . poor sheep .

  • no, I don't know

  • The roofs of cars should be big solar panels

  • "you know"

  • depends on how much sun you get in the area you live and how new your cells are. but yeah, from 2-4 years for the latest cells although some older cells are in the 10-15 ballpark.

  • im not big on solar to power your vehicle WHILE driving, its just not that cost efficient and also weather dependant. but solar / wind to power your house AND charge your car while its @ home is a great idea.

  • Actually, solar panels are about $10,000. now and with the $2,000. government rebate are only about $8,000. In my state, wisconsin, MG&E will pay ypu back 22 cents per KWH for energy you produce beyond what you use. We only pay 11 cents per KWH otherwise. Don't pretend to know what you are talking about.

  • His system, on his roof, is ballpark 30-50k. wisconsin sounds like a good place to do solar, although probably not as sunny as some other states. I know what i'm talking about. Without the gov't incentives and a lot of sun in the area you live, solar is hard to justify on a financial return type basis, and even on a co2/kwh efficiency basis because of how much energy the panels take to produce. do the research you'll see.

  • where did they buy the electric vehicle Toyota EV ??????

  • they are at a shell station!!! lol

    try 4.80 in california!!! haha

  • In 20 years kids in school will read about the good old days when people filled up their cars with black rotten plants and dinosaurs, and laugh. Its all science fiction till the day it happens. Air planes, x-ray, cell phones, satellites or microwave ovens.

  • The government should have it's own energy company to drive down the price of energy and also force new technology onto the marketplace. Right now the oil companies and auto companies are like the old phone company. No change will be made until the energy and auto monopolies are broken up.

  • This 100-percent electric vehicle Toyota EV can transport passengers at speeds up to 78 miles per hour, with a range of 80 to 100 miles per charge. Didn't Toyota recall all the leased vehicles like GM did? The powerful Oil lobby doesn't want to lose their business and so they put pressure on GM and Toyota to recall those EV's, in my opinion.

  • Roof top solar panels powering your electric car makes sense to me. Isreal will soon have swap-out battery stations so that when your battery goes dead on a long trip you can still continue on the trip. Altair Nanotechnologies Inc. (ALTI) makes a quick charging battery so that problem is solved. Yes, Chevron owns the patent on the nickel metal hydrid battery but the GM "Volt" will use the lithium battery. "$3.13?", she says.... now it's $4.60 in my area. Santa Monica you show leadership.

  • $3.29 a gallon?! Cheap!

  • The F-in Government needs to promote alternative fuels but dumb bush is an oil obsessed ass hole. They need to give tax breaks and funding for alternative fuel cars. Thats the only reason they are out of reach price wise.

  • We can do something about it.

I refuse to purchase another fossil fuel car again.

Tell the car companies, if they want your business, they need to provide electric or fuel cell cars.

Tell the oil companies, you are not going to blindly continue to pay for higher and higher gas prices.

if either want your business again, they better start to provide an alternative ... and soon!

  • you can possibly peer pressure dodge into making the zeo concept car. google the zeo and go to dodges site and some rep will try to chat with you. say you want a zeo and when they say: 'it's not available' reply: 'BUMMER, guess i'm taking my money elsewhere!' think of it as that peer pressure you were always warned about for gangs/drugs but 'us' being the peers pressuring a big corporation.

  • @FreeEnergyWorld Amen! Check this video out on a quick build solar vehicle;

    /watch?v=a-cUi3IjFRM&playnext_from=TL&videos=eawJjwg_9io&feature=sub

they make it look SO easy and fun!!

  • Wind and solar energy are truly clean, truly sustainable sources of energy. these are resources that are not going to run out anytime soon or in fact ever!

  • this technology and other alternatives is already owned by the major car companies. It's been supressed for years, the goverment has been waiting for the last possible second before oil dries up.

dont beleive me? go to honda's website, they just got the greenlight to release they're 100% water car...

  • These people are regular normal people. And they are the reason we have no EVs.

GM/Volvo/Ford/Honda all know these people will not buy EVs.

As I just said, they know they're being ripped off and STILL chose to buy a stinking huge monster SUV.

Next time you hear some dufus blathering about 'the environment' ask them what car they drive.

I tell people I'm researching converting my Camry to EV and they look at me as if I just told them I speak fluent Klingon.

  • very good point! usually people have what they deserve! the escalade lady was a very good example...not to mention her "understanding" of things....

  • What a plonker. This guy KNOWS oil companies are ripping him off, so he bought an SUV???????

  • lol, for fuck's sake lady, sell the escalade and buy something that doesn't have 1000 liter engine in it and doesn't weight 50 tons!

  • Want to see a real electric car?!!, go google "Ronaele 300E".

  • Solar Cars should be perfect in CA. and FL. I dont know about here in NYC :-(.

  • a plug in hybrid would probably be best in nyc. but in nyc the insurance for a compact car is the price i'd pay for a viper here in colorado so i'd rather use public transportation if i lived there.

  • wait did he just say hes not willing to go pay 40 or 50K for a car. what was the price of that SUV that that he bought and is fills up how many times a monthone year of fuel saving would more then make up for the extra cost of the electric car, by the way in canada we are paying over $4 a gallon

  • O...M...G...these r wat u call DUMB FUCKING AMERICANs lol who video taped this Micheal Moore???? lolololl

  • It's the U.S. government and the Federal reserve (which is a private bank) that benifits the most by keeping oil as the main energy source. Search youtube for 'petrodollar'.

  • LOL 'can't do anything about it' stupid sheople. We need to get off of fuel forever... The future will be hybrid HHO-Electric with Solar and front scoop turbines for 300-400+ mile ranges to forever free us from travel energy. Imagine running your car on nothing but sun and water now that is forward thinking

  • I couldn´t agree with you more. I mean, what are they afraid of?

  • To the chick who says her SUV tank now takes $70 to fill and she can't I do anything about it... yeah... you probably are the only one who drives around town in that tank... ever heard of spending that $50,000+ on a hybrid or clean diesel Jetta for half the price and SAVE MONEY not only on gas but a cleaner, more efficient, vehicle at half the price? Right... you're a f@#$tard... you people drive me NUTS!

  • there are ways to build your own electric car for about 6,000...

  • y dont u build one then fucker lol

  • what the heack?? i dont want one!? ur an ass hole.. go fuck your mom

  • very funny!

  • get a G WIZ an Indian made elecric car fro £10000. try it, no tax, no fuels only electric!

  • Indian made.. Does it run on curry? lol

  • Congrats... More of this is needed!

  • Thomas Edison built an electric car in the 1890s, and ladies preferred them to the "smelly" gasoline autos, and in those days you had to crank the engine!!

  • The first guy is a real truth sayer. "gas companies keep us tied to oil as long as possible". If we want to control the climate change, that kind of corporate policy is a crime.

  • Find electric car manufacturers and dealers on EVtransPortl (dot com)

  • I have, as alcoholics sometimes say, a moment of clarity. every other form of life runs on....the sun. If we're so freaking smart, why don't we? oil tyranny must end. things that can't go on forever don't. let's do something.

  • I actually witnessed something. pulling out of a parking lot, I saw a Prius with a sticker that said "clean special fuel"

We were behind it until we had to pull over for gas. then when we left and went down the road, the Prius had been totalled, wrecked, and flipped over, hit by some viper or something.

Coincidence? Or big oil hard at work? They mean to stop the electric and gas-less cars. by any means necessary.

    Know what you're up against.

  • Nah, those prius cars don't get that good of mpg for them to worry that much to the extreme. However, I heard of a man who invented a fuel vaporization system that would make a 15mpg mpg 1970's car get 70mpg and a regular gasoline car get about 150mpg. I heard that the inventor vent to a doctors office for his yearly doctor checkup or something and almost died from malpractic. Those fake doctors weren't registered to that hospital and noone knew who they were.

  • While that fuel vapor guy was in the hospital, ALL his stuff, his 70mpg car, tools, paperwork and everything was stolen. ANOTHER man invented a car that ran on water powered by electromagnetism similar to a Stanley Steamer car and one day, he went home and all his water car and paperwork was all stolen, but just that stuff. The evil democrat politicians were like to both as if they were kids, "ok now, don't make that stuff again or we will really put you in your place!"

  • Thomas Edison built an electric car decades ago, they were more popular than gas vehicles because you didn't have to crank them (until Tesla invented the ignition coil)..

EV (electric vehicles) are the way to go!!

  • Al Gore can invent the ultimate electric car? That seems kind of strange considering how he owns the most un-efficient house on earth. HA, Ironically a Republican like George W. Bush owns the most efficcient house on Earth, Bush drinks rain water, with all floresent bulbs powered by windmills and solar panels, lets just say Bush's house could run on a deserted island.

  • This is all a lie. Bush is not eco-anything. Early in his presidency he rejected the Kyoto protocols to reduce global warming, suspended limits on arsenic in drinking water and broke a vow to cut carbon dioxide emissions by power plants. And his energy policy he unveiled on gaining office eased curbs on drilling for oil and gas on public lands. Nonsense.

  • Charging station? WHY NOT PUT ONE 100-200watt(5ft by 2-3ft) SOLAR PANEL ON TOP OF A CAR to charge 12 hours a day. Oh and you could put several on a big van. UMM, WHY NOT USE THE SUN, it's free and IT'S EVERYWHERE!

  • 200 watts at 12 hours a day would only get you 2.4KwH. That's enough to get you about 6-10 miles, depending on the vehicle. It would be a small supplement, but still worthwhile.

  • Hmm, some solar panels are a lot more powerful than others. I wonder how powerful they can get for that certain same size. Oh I was thinking, if you were one of those luck people to live in a place with high winds, you could add 1 or 2, 400watt wind mill generators on the vehicle while parked and they would work 24 hours a day.

  • Solar panels are now breaking the 40% efficiency barrier. The 70's technology was about 12% efficient. The sun delivers about 1 kWh per square meter on average. You can come close to producing electricity at a cost of $0.08 to $0.10 cents per kilowatt-hour. Solar panels are about $3 per watt.

  • Even if you are in a very sun intensive area, you only get about 4-5 hours of insolation during the day, during summer. So maybe 1 kWh. Since 1 gal gas = 33.5 kWh, that's about equal to only .03 gallons of gas. Assuming you get 70 mpg equivalent, this is 2.1 miles. You will need more solar panels up at home and sell the electricity during the day, then buying back what you need back from the grid at night rates to charge up.

  • HAHAHA, very very funny! :-D

  • I been hearing quite a bit about electric cars. but i have yet to see a single EV on the road, or a charging port anywhere!

where is this? i'd love to have one of these!

  • If you would like to purchase a real EV, go to lionev website. They fully electric Sedan, SUV, and Truck. The max tested range is 456 miles per charge, with the high end battery core. The cost is about $30K.

  • Jee wizz, you must work at that lionev company or something.

  • No, I am just showing people that there are 400+ miles range EVs. That cost about $30-40K. People still seem to think EVs are golf carts or clown cars. I want people to know that Real EVs are available from Lionev.

  • There are several EV dealers here in the Seattle area. You can buy Teslas, Spyders, Zenn 2.22's, Flybo's, GEM e2's ...

Many people are converting Priuses into Plug-in hybrids to have the choice between either gasoline and electric. Search for PHEV.

"Charging ports" are ordinary electric outlets. I guess you will have to add one one your hitching post.

  • You can find affordable electric, and hybrid electric cars on EVtransPortal dot com

  • You can find real Electric cars at lionev website. Cost about $30K. Max tested range 456 miles per charge, with the high end battery core.

  • I'd rather have them convert my old vehicle or maybe do it myself and save me about $20,000. LOL ;-)

  • Yeah, most people don't know how to convert one or have time to convert one.

Simply buy an Electric car from Lionev. Fully electric, 456 miles max tested range. For those of you who just want to buy one.

  • Solar prius! Hydrogen BMW! Solar and Wind Powered Van! EVs! Check out my videos!

  • lol, the rav is our house keepers car. (its not good enough for me.)

  • They all complain about the cost to fill up their inefficent cars. Cost cost cost. Money money money. What a wasteful bunch of people.

  • The women in this video are just awful. Awful.

  • Look, we make affordable energy savinglight bulbs and most people do not even use them. I save a huge amount of greenhouse gases each year just from putting 15 of them in every light socket I can find inmy home. I also save money, but people still don't want to save money, let alone the ecology. WOmen need to make better decisions when they go shopping. The car is a big one. They like huge cars just because they feel safer.

  • If those women want SUVs, they can get them at Lionev website. 100% electric. Max tested range 456 miles per charge, with high end battery core. Cost about $30K.

  • There are affordable electric cars available now! Check out EVtransPortal dot com and visit the Lion EV link under Dealers. They have electric cars with comparable performance to gas cars for about the same price.

  • Solar prius! Hydrogen BMW! Solar and Wind Powered Van! EVs! Check out my videos!

  • an important reason car companies, and other vested interests of the oil companies are pushing hybrids are so they can retain their huge parts after market - straight electrics have WAY less maintenance (you'll replace the brushes every couple of years), and with capacitors set to replace batteries (cheaper, lighter, quicker charge, no toxic disposable probs), we needn't worry about the big battery-replacement bill

  • We have BRUSHLESS motors now that have changed the Radio-Control modeling industry forever. Brushless-motors and lithium polumer batteries have SURPASSED Internal-combustion glow-fuel engines in power, speed, torque, and running-times. Anything in model-form works more efficiently when scaled up! PETROL IS DEAD! Internal-combustion is dead, also! Smell the clean air!

  • Solar prius! Hydrogen BMW! Solar and Wind Powered Van! EVs! Check out my videos!

  • Solar prius! Hydrogen BMW! Solar and Wind Powered Van! EVs! Check out my videos!

  • Thanks for putting this video up. I feel it helps to raise the awareness of the people that there are alternatives. Someday we will see that the people in the oil biz is going to go bankrupt because we are going to use, solar, wind and magnetic energy.

  • the people who own the oil companies are also the people who own hydrogen fuel cell development companies, but you see with electricity there is no monopoly, but there is a really easy way to create one with hydrogen which is why the american government wants to switch over, think about it

  • So they would make hydrogen with electricity? It doesn't take a genius to know that it would be best to just remove the extra middle man(hydrogen) and drive the cars charged by us. Unless they can come up with greater than 100% efficiency in generating hydrogen, the whole industry is fucked.

  • Now there are some really hot electric cars coming out both designed by Lotus: 1 Search the Zap-X electric car and the Tesla Motors electric car.

  • I was hoping for technical details which would make switching to a electric car a thing worth considering. This is solely a social video which tells people to do exactly what they have always done.

  • Off youtube?

You're not lazy, or anything, are you?

Don't search hydrogen generation from water by electrolysis... using solar panels as an energy source.

Don't buy an AutoTrader to find a used Diesel Jetta to run used fryer oil in.

Wait for FEMA to come rescue you.

  • Cool part is,

Even if we powered our cars with the dirtiest coal electricity availible, it would be as green, or greener than driving a Prius.

    greyfalcon. net/ plugins3

And we have enough excess grid capacity to charge 84% of our electric cars before we need even 1 new power plant.

    greyfalcon. net/ plugins4

    _

That said, fuel cells are what oil/car companies use to distract people away from electric cars.

And upcoming electric cars do "Look great"

    greyfalcon. net/ electriccars.png

  • I can't imagine owning an Escalade in this market; not only do you have to deal with high gas prices, but your vehicle has lost so much of its value.

  • someone tell this guy if he wants to do wat he says "" COST EFFECTIVE CAR "" then there is REVA....

  • I wish it was a solution but the REVA (aka G-Wiz) is crap. The Smart EV or Phoenix SUV is a better option.

  • Here's my possibly-ignorant theory: What if we used combinations of natural power sources? In other words, we use solar power to get the car up to a certain speed. The solar power, or the charge in the car's battery, is how the car gets up to speed. Then the wind going by could be processed by fans of sorts and converted to more power. Between the two, you could have one or the other powering your car at all times.

  • The resistance caused by having wind turbines on an automobile would increase drag, negating any energy produced by the rotors.

  • Yes, well, that's why I cautiously labeled it "ignorant." I have enough know-how in basic science to know that the energy would be somewhat lessened by resistance from wind turbines, I just wasn't sure if there wasn't a way to stop/minimize that. But I guess the more drag you produce, the more energy you need, the less energy you get...if that makes sense.

  • as i could understand in this video, what make people thinking about buying an electric car is just the gasoline price increase, but actually the main problem is the environment. this means a lot about human selfishness. anyway we shouldn't accomodate thinking that electricity is the definitive solution, because any energy we waste the earth "feels". we need to change a bit our habits. (sorry about my english, hope it is understable enough)

  • omg that girl said I would buy electric car if it looked great? what a dumb biatch

  • Er no actually. Noone wants to drive around in a dorkmobile - looking cool IS a major consideration. With Tesla motors or Phoenix thats no problem, but average Joe will have to wait a tad longer I guess. Bet this vid was made before they killed the EV mandate and crushed all the EV Rav4s, EV1s etc.

  • I'll have to get back to this video later.

  • Uh that lady that was talking about needing a big car was the most shallow superficial waste of space alive.

  • Electric cars are no 40-50K, and GM & govt suppessed it. Smokey Yunick had technology that would of gotten her SUV 40+MPG. Screw being "green" gas cost money and the oil barrons are wiping their asses with $100 bills.

  • god u r so dumb. r u a hummer driver? seems like ur one of the bush supporters. i just hope u arent on drugs like our president.

  • i cun spel dubass

Watch who killed the electric car.

  • I like how the guy at the beginning who is bitсhing at the oil companies is an owner of an SUV.

  • She's DEFINATELY doing her part for global "warming".

  • she's HOT

  • Fuckin brilliant :D

  • good idea for non polution.

  • See the worlds newest most amazing Electric Car, TeslaMotors.com The Specs will blow your mind. New Breakthroughs in Solar power will allow you to recharge your car on your garage roof solar array, drive up t0 250 miles per charge, and 0-60 in 4 seconds 130 mph top speed. See entechsolar.com

  • Too bad it's hand-built and Tesla can't yet mass produce. That car has an $80k price tag. I hope they succeed, because they might be the ones to bring an affordable electric long-range family car to the masses. The technology has been there since the 90s. If they get anywhere close to doing that, expect to see a lot of foul play from entrenched industries, like the oil and auto cabal, or more red tape from the feds to restrict these cars.

  • this video showed us nothing and was promised as a must watch why doesnt anyone on youtube just show how to do this ourselves instead of relying on corporations just a step by step conversion and a list of all the materials necessary why because dont know how.

  • I loved the solar panel on the roof of the vehicle!

But why stop there? How 'bout an array of mini windmills with turbines in airscoops along the hood?

  • The windmills would require more power to overcome aerodynamic drag than they would produce. Sorry, but your idea is impossible according to the laws of thermodynamics. Windmills and solar panels have their place on homes and garages, and can meet all the car's power needs there as it charges from them.

  • What about a small windmill that only pops up when the car is shut off. While driving, a windmill would be useless so it would have to retract when the car is turned on. Perhaps there could be 4 small windmills that pop up and they could have rubber like blades incase children try to touch them. Of course it would need to look appealing to the eye. But once gas becomes expensive enough people would stop caring about superficial things.

  • that sorta thing would be more effecient on houses, and for 10k, u can get a windmill that powers 30 to 100 percent of ur houses needed energy

  • What about using the rotation of the wheels (while in motion of course) to generate some electricity? I heard someone on the radio discussing some advanced technologies that have been developed in that area. Also, what about the HHO (from H2O) gas that has been developed? It seems that there are so many different options to gas!!

  • Using the rotation of the wheels only works while braking. Using it for propulsion would end up using more energy than simply keeping the generators off. The laws of thermodynamics must apply.

  • Hi! Have you seen Aquigen? It's HHO, used as a fuel additive. It's Denny Klein's company. It's supposed to increase gas mileage 30-50%. Their website is http://hytechapps.com/

  • The only way two hydrogen atoms and an oxygen atom can bond together is in the form of water. Thus HHO gas (otherwise written H2O gas) is just water vapor.

  • good fucking idea!!

  • Why are they using RAVs, they are the least efficent of the electric vehicles ?

  • They are using RAVs because they are some of the few EVs that were obtainable for puchase. Toyota only made a few hundred of them though, every last one was leased or sold, and there were waiting lists for more, but Toyota refused to mass produce them, citing that they never sold enough. That's because they never made enough. They crushed most of the leased RAV4s, but many still remain in private hands. They are super rare though, fetching $60k on ebay due to demand.

  • A shame you can't buy those electric cars from any major automaker. No powertrain maintenance means less consumer spending means less profits to the car companies. If you want a highway-capable electric car with 80+ mph top speed, you have to pay someone $40,000+ to hand build you one, or build it yourself for $6,000-12,000. Great video.
