These days, even when I've heard a 'new' -(duh...Sara had a hit like three years ago, i know) -musician that's doing good songs of their own, If I hear them doing justice to a song like this one that Peter Gabriel released close to thirty years ago, and make it sound like their own, I respect them even more. I thought John Mayer took on a big song and did well with Tom Petty's song " Free Fallin"!!! Sara Bareilles remade this song with true creativity. She has a true gift with her GREAT voice. Heard this cover on the radio a month ago, and took a while to find out whose voice it was. It gave me a new appreciation of Sara's voice and talents. This is an excellent cover of Gabriel's classic, and more than stands on its own merits. The emotion she sings into the tune is really amazing.

This is a good version, still prefer peter gabriel's version especially the version from his secret world tour (which is genius and seriously go watch it) It's the sweetest song though and at least she a good job and didn't trash it like natalie bassingwaite and shannon noll did with pg's other song, don't give up.
