@bamoonte In the start of the report they don't say they were born early, they say that they came out of the den earlier than expected. This video was posted in early March. Cubs are born between Nov and Feb. Given their size (~20 lbs, if not more), I would say they are more towards the November end of things. The mother & cubs emerge from the den between mid-February and mid-April and the cubs weigh between 22-33 lbs. They are the right size and March falls in the range above.
@bamoonte I agree. I adore polar bears, but I think it's cruel for them to be in a zoo. Zoos serve a good purpose (I know, I've worked in one) and modern day zoos are at a high standard for environment and stimulation of the animals, but there are some species which should not be kept there and bears are one of them.

Politicians in Canada have put out false propaganda and then wiped out whole species before (like they are doing now with harp seals) There is very strong proof of MAJOR polar bear declines in Southern & Western Hudson Bays, Beaufort Sea, Baffin Bay, Kane Basin and Norwegian Bay, and that is being reported by people who live there. IUCN Polar Bear Specialist Group classified the polar bear as vulnerable species on IUCN Red List of Endangered Species at their most recent meeting in Seattle 2005

Um, no. Why would Polar Bears hibernate? The purpose of hibernation in most animals is to sleep through the winter, when there is no food, to spring where there IS food. Polar Bears live in the Arctic, where it's winter ALL THE FREAKIN TIME. What would the point be of hibernation?

It's not winter all the time in the Arctic, it may be cold all year round but they do have colder periods that they must hibernate to get through.

if people werent alive all the animals would be happy! and our world wouldnt explode! i wish everyone would just disappear and go somewhere else so the balance of nature would happen again! this makes me so mad that people would actually dump trash and oil to kill animals and cause global warming. it just makes me so mad
