  • and Alonzo on Button in brazil 2011

  • @y0tt4byt3 there was car pieces on buttons racing line.. wasnt rly that cool overtake .p

  • @juvoboi It was absolutely amazing, people didn't know what the heck happened, he just took the outside and blazed through Button on arguably the toughest part to overtake on the circuit (so tight), wasn't his best, but it was amazing, too bad the ferrari just can't hold up on hard tires. :)

  • @sjmaco

    Absolutely,you are right

  • Webber did something a similar move at the same corner this year didn't he?

  • @iTitanium webber did the move at eau rouge in spa

  • pero que animalada esto si era f1 no la porqueria de hoy dia con KERS y con el DRS

  • no KERS, no DRS...nice!

  • During the 2011 Japan GP, David Hobbs was talking about the pass that Alonso made on Schumacher at the 130R corner in 2005 and how it was the bravest pass he'd ever seen. It certainly was a hell of a pass. I don't think Alonso ever lifted.

  • To prove how difficult this overtake is I will give you an example:If you remember Rosberg trying to pass Buemi in excatly the same point in 2010,he made the move firstly, but then went deeply wide and lost about 3-4 positions.Getting ahead of Schumacher was nothing compared to the challange of keeping the car on the track cause you can see Alonso doesn't have the racing line and still got in full throttle in this corner. You have to be very brave to do this. That's for sure.

  • Gnolhmmnumcxbsbtinugxrixfnskjfineifjdhfldfkw Thumbs up if you agree¡¡

  • Michael! Fernando is faster than you. Confirm you understood that messange.

  • @VuDu4000 You're a complete idiot. Confirm you understood the message.

  • jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • obvosly fernando is best

  • Spa and Suzuka are in my opinion the best tracks. Great overtake in a great corner.

  • @JoseUndertaker how could you forget about Monaco ? :))

  • that turn is pucker inducing.

  • I see. Thank you!

  • Schumacher weak point to overtake him is usually his right side. I don't know why.

  • @hailtothejedi - Because most tracks are clockwise and the inside line is mostly on the right...

  • @Breed86 Yeah that move by hakkinen was the best overtake ive ever seen, using the backmarkers slipstream = Genuis!

  • 130R is a fucking awesome corner!

  • Looks better than it was. He was past him before the turn in point, knew Schumacher would have to back out. Nothing compared to Hakkinen's move at Spa in 2000

  • This corner is where they recorded the record downforce of 6G. Gravity giving highly blurred vision and difficulty raising hands 1cm. Twice that capable of a touring car and serves to demonstrate the difference in driving speeds.

  • When Formula 1 was not artificially...

  • Pure Renault Power

  • alan mcnish I think in the Toyota tried this at full throttle and ended up in hospital, could be wrong tho

  • The best Alonso's overtaking forever.Congratulations for Ferrari renovation to 2016.

  • greatest overtaking of all time

  • Can someone explain to me why this is considered one of the best overtakee? Like what's the significance of the 130R etc.. I don't really watch F1. Being better informed about it would make me appreciate this video further. (: Thanks.

  • @barttan 130R is an insane flat-out corner that only the manliest of men dare take at full throttle, let alone overtake while at full throttle.

plug in gran turismo or forza and give it a try!

  • @theruley You cant do it unless it's an F1 car. Needs to turn like crazy. IVE Tried. The only thing I could do it in forza was with a LM Prototype.

  • @theruley 130R would be comfortably flat out in even a HRT in F1 though, it;s been flat in F1 for years

  • Nico Rosberg tried to overtake a torro rosso through 130R in 2010, hadn't passed the car by the corner entry and then still tried to take him on the outside, inevitably losing traction and twitching, but managed to control the slide. I reckon he showed just as much balls as Alonso even if it didn't stick. There's footage of the move in the 2010 FIA race edit

  • The fuel was so corrosive that it had to be drained immediately after every practice and qualify sessions. breathing it was not a good idea and some of the exotic fuels cost as much as $300 per liter !!!!!

meaning a tank was as expensive as a small car .

exotic aromatic hydrocarbons with very high calorific value ..

nowadays this stuff is banned like whoa

  • That's driver...

  • the best overtaking ever

  • @2754iceman You don't know f1

  • @2754iceman Raikkonen on Fisi?

  • @JDeguara

    no

  • F A N T A S T I C

  • Schumacher overtook Senna in the same way (exactly the same!) in France, 1993, but probably the overtaking of Schumacher was better, because Schumacher had a car similar than Senna´s.

Not like this, where Alonso has a much better car than Schumacher´s.

    Nevertheless, great Alonso!

  • 2004 = V8, 2013 = 4 cylinders, 2018 = shit

  • @rubensamg Oh yes because the seize of the engine matters so much.... in the 80's BMW made 1300hp with a 4 cylinder 1,6 liter engine.. The thing that matters is how much turbo pressure they are allowed to run.

  • @dude2106 I think that this power was only for qualifying

  • @rubensamg true. but they still ran more power in the race then what the most powerful V10's could deliver.

  • @dude2106 comparing the engines now and then is useless due to the diff regs.

back then they measured it by octane rating , density, boiling curve , vapor pressure.

so pretty much what the chemical company wintershall did research and found chemicals to add to the crazy Non petroleum fuel to work very well in turbo engines !!!

so they had non petroleum fuel with chem additives to meet the regs

thats how they did the numbers ..

  • @mushrume So? I know the turbo engines are not going to deliver 1300hp, because they will be restricted, but i am just saying that the engine layout don't mean anything. It is how the engines are regulated that matters. If they were allowed to go bananas with the four cylinder turbo engines they could make them deliver 1500hp in the blink of the eye.

  • @dude2106 you would not be able to push those kind of numbers with the current fuel reggs.

thats what i was saying. you need the exotic fuels . and those engines were very unreliable in that configuration generating too much heat and way too much stress on drivetrain parts to handle it for a whole race distance. they were changed out after qualy. we will not see these numbers !!

and the sound of10 cannot be replaced , and the way it delivers the power .

  • @mushrume No you wouldn't. Just turn up the boost pressure. It will drink petrol like a maniac, but it will be able to get those numbers. And on reliability, the engines back then were unreliable because there were no electronic engine management system around. It was some sort of semi mechanic system, which weren't really great to control the boost. Today with better materials and better engine management they wouldn't need to change them all the time.

  • @rubensamg 2004= v10, 2010= v8, 2013= 4 cylinders, 2018 = hybrid

  • @andreveiguinha to return the v10

  • 208 mph and balls the size of the tyres that turned him into the corner.

  • 2010???? Lol hahahaha

  • BALLS OF STEEL

  • seee 2010 ! Ma vaa

  • Grande +2

  • Big whoopee.....this is nothing compared to Kimi's last lap overtake around the outside in the same race, that was an all out ballz move. This is a "let me turn and hope Schumi has more sense than me and brakes" move.

  • Question.... what does Alonso press on his steering wheel when he's approaching Michael?? He presses a button for like 2 o 3 seconds then lets go... I don't remember KERS existing back then so what is it???

  • @sinner2208 Its an 'overtake button' as they call it, makes the engine go up to its highest power for faster acceleration for a few seconds

  • Even though 130R is easy flat out after being resurfaced, that's still a brave move.

  • great driver, too bad he's such a whiny cunt sometimes.

  • @bubi8894 Don't forget arrogant and selfish, but your're right, great driver.

  • The overtake is before 130R

  • @F1Alarcar No it isnt

  • sooo fast

  • balls of steel

  • Bravisimo Fernandoooo :)

  • This was an end of an era. Last year of the V10 and the dethroning of Michael by changing the tire rules to favor Michelin. Had to do something since Schumi had completely gutted the sport for 5 years running.

  • maravilloso!!!!

  • There was nothing that could keep up with the Renault 2005.

  • Someone tried to do the same this weekend, and failed.

  • @magknight rosberg, and he almost crashed lol

  • @Esk1zo oh yeah yeah! It was Nico indeed.

  • He will do this again on this Sunday.

  • outside 130R, grande cohones lol

ill say, in my opinion, the `98 `99 jorden is the best looking.

    benson&hedges or buzzing hornets XD

  • 改修されたとはいえ、ここでアウトから抜くなんて

  • @DigitalDreamKids Well written!!!

  • lewis is shit

  • Guys schumacher was not on racingline. schumacher let alonso pass. it not that amazing pass sorry :\

  • @jraybay yes, because schumacher is not a fighter :\

  • @sargatanas88 yes well Uh it's racing and you give and take. schumacher could be stupid and try to make the bend with alonso but it would probably be a high speed accident :\\

  • @jraybay It was

  • @MrLukedfrt No not really. I already explained you cant go two wide here so schumacher let off throttle all alonso has to do is take the corner.

  • @jraybay only a few can say they pass M.S. at his best,so to overtake him is just amazing.

  • @gambiterocierrabares we dont care. all you schumacher fans say he was so great it is amazing to pass him he is 7 times world champion end of story. He is just another pilot he is not untouchable. I tell it like it is. I know what he's done I dont care.

  • @jraybay no he is not another pilot you un educated piece of fecal matter ^^

more world titles than any one.

are you stupid or from the south ...............

haha. you prob own a pos car .

have never been to the track or even raced in your life.

most likely overweight with a mullet. here has only been one person in the world to accomplish this . if you dont appreciate that you should be beaten withq rubber hose until you beg for mercy , and they give none .

    you trash

  • @mushrume Wow stop making your stupid rage assumptions of me I said He is not untouchable did that offend you? Stop kissing his ass thanks. What he did was amazing, I guess I should have said that to save myself from asshole like yourself. Relax and stfu.

  • @mushrume We also already addressed that he has more titles than anyone else... after that you had nothing else to say except one liners you thought would hurt me ^^

  • 2004/05/06 are the best cars ever made in f1 history

  • ballsy pass

  • epic! best overtake of the race, best race of the last decade!

  • schumacher had lifted, all about nothing this pass.!!

  • were is shumacher? ah!, in his house without 20 seconds in the Monaco Gran Prix hahahahahahahhahahahahahaha!

Welcome to the Alonso's game, "No Kaiser"!

  • @DVAFP this is real. 2005 Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka. Brave move tho.

  • what game is this? nice graphics

  • que huevos de cabron ....uno de los mejores pilotos, yo lo dije desde que con un minardi trataba de hacer algo con un auto que no traia nada....

  • museobsessed17 - all time best move in modern times? Na mate. Alonso had the corner already. It wouldve been if they were exactly side by side, but they weren't. The move was already done.

  • To be honest, lets face it, Alonso basically had the corner already. You could see Michael from the helecopter angle had most of his car further back from Alonso entering the corner. A bit overrated if you ask me. What did you expect Alonso to do, lift off when he already had the corner?

  • @weallfollowmanutd Finally someone thinks exactly like me!

  • @weallfollowmanutd Finally someone thinks exactly like me!

  • Alonso is THE BEST...!!!

  • Incredible overtake, had me on the edge of my seat. Took some real talent and balls of steel to pull that one of. And this is coming from an Alonso hater.

  • i hate alonso but u have 2 give him some credit 4 that

  • Alonso sucks cock for money

  • Massa wird diese Alfonsine verheizen!

  • was sagst du?

  • @gummihals: Massa wird Ende der Saison vor Alonso liegen!

  • @Gerry1938 Das is net sicher !! glaub mir

  • Schumacher could have killed him if he only wanted to

  • haha xD and this video shows how schumi kills alonso xD ALONSO TRIPLE WORLD CHAMPION 2010

  • ohh it was 2005 ;D the v10 sound is amazing!

  • was it 2006??

  • That takes some bravery - only drivers like Alonso would do that :-D

  • when i first saw i wet myself i mean no one apart from Alonso has the guts to do that to MS

  • look at the fosters, incredible speed.

  • That took some balls.

  • @09Murphy09 Balls of steel!

  • This was an amazing overtake!!

  • 130r is the name of the corner

  • Schumacher sould have watched this vid several times before decide back to F1. The real winner of 5 of his titles are the Ferrari machines and the lack of competitors (Irvine, Hakkinen, Barrochelo)

  • The 2005 japanese GP. Alonso made this moving in Schumacher and Raikkonen made one as beautiful as Alonso's one in the first corner, in Shummy too.

  • One of the all-time best overtakes in modern-day F1 i have ever seen. Raikkonen in the same race was good but this was superb. Balls of Steel...

  • Alonso, Campone del Mondo 2005, 2006, e 2010!

  • @GPRacing1000 Probably. Though I wish he'd still be with Renault. I'd love to see Fernando as World Champion, but I'd hate to see Ferrari climbing the top.

  • @GPRacing1000 2010? :P

  • @johnrose92

    2005

  • @1010thechamp I was taking the piss 'cos he thought Alonso would be champ last year ;)

  • @GPRacing1000 haha

  • @GPRacing1000 no, vettelll!!

  • You make a mistake my boy alonso was second in 2010

  • @GPRacing1000 LOL Fail

  • the 2006 renault was not the fastest car and im not sure about the 2005

  • @Forzascuderiaf1 the 05 renault was second to the mclaren but more reliable

  • hehe this footage was from the 2005 season review DVD set I can recognize the commentry because i have that too :p

  • Schumacher lets Alonso pass because R25 was better and faster than F2005.

  • even if a car is going 5 second slower then you in 130 r its still hard to overtake.

  • not if you don't even have to leave the racing line...

  • I perfectly remember this, when I was watching this GP, incredible.

  • only coz mass damper

  • Schumi let alonso pass when he saw that alonso was faster in the outside line, otherwise they would have crash at 300 kph!

  • Many things were said about this season, mainly that Alonso won against better cars. As far as I see, and regarding McLaren, the car was faster but could not finish many races due to reliability problems. I wouldn´t call that a better car!

Regarding Ferrari, they never stood a chance, probably because of the Bridgestone tyres, not a better package anyway!!

  • you are right, i am an alonso fan but the 2005-2006 renault was a very good car

  • Viva Ferni!!!

    Forza Massa!!!

    Scuderia Ferrari 2010

  • i like it

  • Is needed some balls to make this ultrapass at 130R with the pedal full down. Grande Alonso, Michael Legend. FORZA FERRARI

  • cars are beautiful

  • you can have a great car but overtake in a corner like the 130R needs some skills...

BTW,in 2005 mclaren was faster than renault but reliability of Mercedes engines was...LOL

so many times raikkonen starts 10 positions back on the grid cause the explosion of the (very powerful - very explosive) Mercedes engines.

similar overtake at last lap, raikkonen on fisichella at T1,he start 20th on the grid cause of 2 engine broken (one in the previous race and one in the practice,if my memory works)

  • loves the Renault engine sound

  • Great pass... but the Reanult was a vastly better car than the Ferrari that year.

  • i agree but mclaren was faster than renault and alonso got the championship...

  • fuji speedway is not a bad track but better that suzuka is back

  • schumacher sucks

  • This is what is called "Race Craft"!

A guy like Massa has plenty of raw speed, but poor race craft, so he does not have that ability to make his way up through the field, and making these brake moves like this!

Thats what make drivers like Alonso and Raikkonen so good!...race craft!

  • Surpasses Hakkinen/Schumacher pass

  • Of course not, it was a titans battle between a MP4-15 and a F1-2000 (same power) this it's just a crappy F1-2005 being overtaked by a better R25

  • The 2005 Renault is, in my opinion, one of the best looking F1 cars ever!

  • The beautiful looking cars look even more beautiful when they're are strong and quick. The 2006 Renault is also very beautiful, especially because they have cars No 1 and 2!!

  • @jmacaldo83 but the Mclaren 2008 car is much better.

  • Alonso was smart enough to recognize after the race: "that was an unessesary move"...

  • u gotta be shitting both suzuka and fuji r crazy tracks u gotta be shitting me right put both these tracks for the year

  • "He's got nothing to lose"... no, only his life!!

  • that is one of the bravest pass you can watch

  • Comment removed

  • yup

  • Welcome back Suzuka!!!!

  • ay que hecharle cojones desde luego

  • Only Alonso can pass Michael like that.

  • Not at the 130R corner though, Kimi took Michael down the start/finish straight.
