It really seems to be broadcasted if not perfomed in a Soviet Union TV.

Communist countries did not censored good western songs and were inviting progressive artists to perform there. Anti-racist, non-violent or socially critical songs had a free access to the Eastern bloc.

This song was written by a Russian-origin composer and makes fun of capitalists. No suprise it appeared on Soviet TV screens.
