Placebo isn't a drug... it is a fake one.. they use placebos in drug studies and don't tell people if they are given the real "new" medications or the "suger pill=placebo..." that way companies can tell side effects ect... Just so you know  :) And yes I agree.. we do so fall madly in love with them! KISS!

all this said, they have stopped playing Nancy Boy now.

though for the record, what is wrong with fans saying they love someone. i find there's something wrong with yelling "MARRY ME!!", but some people don't know much english and for them "i love you" is a short way of meaning so many things. love the music. love brian. love is not that extreme a word.

I agree. Usually when I tell people "I love placebo.. I ACTUALLY love them.." They look at me kind of weird. But what they don't know is that their music saved me from a period of.. insanity.. I guess.. I relate to Brian so much. In so many different ways. And so in my mind I feel like I love them like my heroes. Love them like my idols and my saviors. It doesn't mean tomorrow I'm gonna stalk them, jump them, and marry them LMAO. But they are in so many ways the reason I'm sane today.i love them

That's so amazing. I'm really glad to hear that. Nirvana are great! I think we're all "saved by music" somehow.. atleast once in our lives. A world without music is ... dark. Dark, and scary, and unbearable. Listening to Placebo can brighten up my day. It can bring a whole new light to the atmosphere. Listening and watching them is the best high there is. They fly me to the moon and back, fifty times a night. <3

Yeah, I completely agree, I guess we sometimes need something to come back to in order to stay alive or to make a day pass by without harm. Last year I kind of slid into depression, and Placebo was always there to make me stay. Right now it is a reminder that I can be strong and overcome something. It's like a security blanket for me, I listen to Placebo and the world becomes bearable because it adds this new taste to life I've never imagined. I don't know if this makes sense at all, but...

hahaha ! exactly. and no, you're definitely not alone. All I know is, placebo doesn't make me forget that the darkness is there. It makes me happier about it, and makes me feel it less. but it still keeps that dark energy around to remind me that the world isn't perfect. everyone has their ups and downs. and a happy person can't forget that there are sad ones out there. like in battle for the sun. It's not ignoring the darkness, but choosing to live in the light <3

Then again this attitude explains why Brian collaborated with Indochine on the album that's introductory song says: "Do you know our sad powers and all the flowers that grow in the dark, in the bottom?"
