and why everybody buries the chips under a mountain of thermal paste? a small drop is enough. when you press the heatsink it expands and covers the chip with a thin layer. the more paste you use, the worse the heat transfer is

Water cooling is not worthy for its cost. With some good silent fans and a good airflow inside the case, you can have very good results without spending half of the money, even if you buy really good, expensive fans.
