Hey there! For anyone reading this if you wanted to take this tip a step further you could also store the remaining lipstick in a pill container. I mean the kind that are marked by the days of the week, in a strip that is marked M,T,W,T,F and so on... You can usually find them in the pharmacy/drugstore near the medications etc They would be perfect to store multiple "left-overs" ;)

I was so shocked when I scooped out the SPF 15 lip conditioner from MAC (pressie from my mum) and found 3/4" worth of stuff.

I was melting it down to mix with some lippie and vaseline to make gloss. ended up being real thick since i had to compensate the increased amt of waxy MAC with less vaseline...

Before I discovered the beauty of brushes, I would scrape out the lipstick and then put these little bits into empty (and clean) watercolor pots, nuke it for like 5 seconds and then let it cool. Insta-lip pallete.

I so didn't know about the Mac Lipstick recycle program. And yeah...I'm one of the people that throws away the lipstick when it gets down too low  but I won't be doing THAT anymore. Never thought to poke down into the lipstick tube to see if there was anything left there. Great tip!!

I have a victoria's secret lip brush that is retractable and has a cover and I love love love it but I also like the retractable lip brush by sephora. Its in a square shape and make is kinda funky but I love it because its shorter than most brushes and fits in the smallest of purses.

Thank you for the tip about applying some of the lipstick to the brush and covering it. Very clever!! Love your videos Josh, keep up the good work =D

Any retractible one...I used to steal my mom's. It is metal and has a fitting cover.

When you take the cover off, you put in on the other end of it and it pushes up the brush thanks to a little lever.

i used a retractable QUO brand brush that i used and kept in my purse for years - i ruined it when i got the bright idea to disassemble it to give the inside a good cleaning... it still works but it doesnt retract as well anymore. not sure if they still carry it. i got it when i worked at the makeup counter in Shoppers Drug Mart several years back.  i might just upgrade to a MAC brush.

My favorite lip brush is from Bare Minerals, their covered lip brush. I love that the cap extends the handle. :)

Also, great tip with getting the remaining lipstick out of the bottom! I like to do that with my lip balms/chap sticks, put them in a little jar, and mix in a pigment or loose shadow/blush to make a pretty lip gloss.

my fav lip brush is one from Clarins..

it is retractable.. but there is a cap on it, so that when you put the cap on the other end, it raises the brush out.. so it's always clean, and it's handy
