Hey, this is a great lesson, thanks a lot! I'm always looking for lessons that break things down, and show good close-ups. I appreciate the different angles and the step-by-step instruction; that's really helpful.
Upload, that was the key word. I really meant download this video but appears that is not possible. Will have to work in computer room or make notes and practice elsewhere. Anyway, tjhis is a great lesson. Done slow and easy so the uninformed guitar players can follow and learn. It would be great to have a personal teach like him. Thanks for making this great lesson available to all of us.
Great lesson. I am new to YouTube so have a question. Must I obtrain permission before i can upload this video so I can watch it in another room where I practice my online guitar lessons?
I could not find the guitar info. I tried to figure out by process of elimination. I initially thought it looked smaller than a 000. But, being a 14-fret guitar, and looking like rosewood, those rule out current 0 and 00 models. So, it brings me back to the 000...I'm guessing 000-28 (unless it is an older model)? Anyway...nice guitar and very nice lessons.
great lesson - you explain everything in detail and don't assume any prior knowledge. Really important to show right hand style which you do and to explain rhythm/timing. Lots of online ' lessons" are just people playing rather than teaching. As a guitar teacher myself I am mightily impressed with how you communicate the important info that helps people to learn.
From the thinnest string - G# D B, and then the bass note/root note as E. That's clearly E7. And then there's the descending progression E7-Eb7-D7-E-B7. A7 comes later, part of the standard twelve bar blues. In E, that would be E7, A7 and B7. That's it!
Watched loads of ya videos today...........absolutely brilliant!! all of em. Even joined ya with a bowl of soup!!...................and then decided that I'd better practice some more. Cheers. Stick
Very impressed....I have always had the talent in my fingers....but learning and the capacity to sit and figure out a song whether by ear or by tablature has been terribly difficult to me....seeing someone patiently teach with a visual and not such tiring strictness is really refreshing....this has helped me love this song without becoming so confused to the point where i hated it....love it..thankyou
i would just like to say that was an excellent video im gonna play this song because of you .. so i thank you so very much .. excellent lesson and well explained . i will look forward to see more .. Louie
Thank you deltabluestips. I've been playing electric blues for years, but the acoustic stuff I really couldn't get a handle on. You have made a huge impact on my playing. You're the tops.
i'm still working. Had my guitar for around 6 months and i have basic knowledge of chords and such but riffs like this have really thrown up a road block where do you suggest i start as a self taught player?
i could never get my right hand going for months whilst watching your tips really struggled but persevered. haven't played for 3 months for what ever reason. picked the guitar up again now and suddenly got the right hand big time. thanks your lessons are second to none.
Decent lesson, thank you.
